Lucys POV

It's been two weeks since Natsu found out I was a vampire. He doesn't really seem to be bother, honestly he doesn't even really bring it up. It's been easy working with him at the moment because everyday he has been wearing this white scarf. It covers his entire neck making it easy on my raging thirst for blood.

*grrrg*

I sweatdropped a bit, talking about blood is making me hungry. "Well somebody hungry" I hear Natsu chuckle. I just rolled my eyes and stood up. "Yea yea I'll go eat" I went up stairs and opened up the fridge. I gulped seeing there was one bag left.

"It's only been two weeks though... This is why a lot of vampires are skinny and pale. We're not getting enough food!!" I whined to my self or so I thought.

"Out of food again are we?"

I jumped and almost dropped my bag. "Natsu! Why are you up here" I growled. "Well it's actual both our lunch breaks soo I was gonna see if you wanted to go grab something." He crossed his arms. "But you're being mean again so I don't know if I really want you to come."

I just walked past him back down stairs. "Never wanted to" I heard him gasp. "What the hell Luce! Why are you such a buzzkill? Why can't you at least be my friend?" I sighed and sat down. "You want to be my friend?" He nodded and sat down next to me. "Okay fine, what do you want to know first?"

I glanced at him and was surprised by how bright he smiled before answering. "Okay let's start with when you were born and where."

"I was born in Paris, 1859" his eyes grew wide. "I was 18 when I was changed. Pure blood vampires unlike myself have the ability to continue to grow, until a point were their body stop usually once they're about 50. The only way I could have been able to grow without being a pure would be to have a pure bite me then feed me. But that will never happen"

I laughed a bit.

"All the purrs vanished into hiding and they look down upon the likes of us." Natsu seemed to be deep in thought. "Okay so you've live through all the wars and stuff?"

"Correct" He nodded then clapped his hands together. "Do you have to like stay away from people so they don't recognize you when they're all old and stuff?"

"Yes, that's why I don't like having my pictures taking, and I try not to get close to people. Once my only friend was a blind girl, she was my friend until the day she died. She couldn't see that I never change so it was nice."

He started to ask another question when my stomach growled again. He looked at my tummy then smirked at me. "You sure you don't wanna go out to eat?" "Yes I'm sure now just say what you were gonna ask." "Okay hmm, can you changed people too!?!"

Great the question I fear most he asked.

"Yes, I have to drink almost all your blood then have you feed off me. It's painful, extremely painful. Your body has to die and..." Shrivers went down my spine recalling that night. I felt tears on the verge of spilling. I covered my mouth afraid I might throw up. Warmth engulfed my body and I stiffened.

"I'm sorry I didn't know it was a touchy topic" Natsu hugged me and patted my head. "N-Natsu.." I blinked the tears back. "It's okay to cry if you need to." I shook my head. "No there's no need to. What's your next question?" He pulled at his hair. "Well it kind of related to the last one, but have you or would you ever change someone?"

I looked him in the eyes with a straight face.

"No and I never would. To live a life this isn't fair." "What if they wanted it?" "I wouldn't do it for them i cou-" "what if I was dying and that was the only way to save me?" I stopped talking and looked away. "Wouldn't it be better to die then live like this though? Why does it seem like your lowkey saying you want me to Change you?"

He chuckled.

"Honestly if I had the choice of dying or living as a vampire I probably wouldnt know what to chose. But.. If it meant I could stay by your side, so you're not lonely and sad anymore. I'd chose to be a vampire."

Why, why do I feel like crying? Why would he care how I felt or if I was alone why would he give up everything to live forever? I hadn't noticed the tears streaming down my face, or Natsu leaning in to wipe them off. I hadn't even noticed the fact he was staring at my lips or that he was he about to kiss me.

"Luce"

I blinked my eyes and looked up, he was right there holding my chin, thumb resting on my bottom lip. I made a small gasping noise finally realizing he was leaning in to my lips...

I punish his shoulders back and looked away. "Natsu no. Please don't kiss me." More tears fell in my lap. "I don't want to fall knowing I won't be with you later." He pained expression hurt me honestly. "I don't want you to get hurt either" I tried to tell him but he just looked away hurt. I could see hurt was by his eyes. He continued to looked down.

"I'm sorry.." I stood up and went to walk around him but he grabbed my arm. He would look at me but he said. "Honestly Lucy, I'd give up my life to live by you side forever. You've captivated my heart in such a little time. Just know that" i shook my head and pulled away walking up the stairs.

Natsus POV

'She just walked away. She can't love me because of what she's a vampire. I told her I'd give my life to stay with her. That's the only thing stand between us. Lucy please don't make stay in this world alone. I know you now you'll only hurt me more if you leave me here alone.'

*ding*

The door opened to the shop and a man with Raven colored hair walked in and looked around. "Excuse me do you work here?"

Why is it I just met this guy and I wanna punch him?

"No I'm just sitting behind the counter." I said in a sarcastic tone. "Well excuse me, I was told a girl ran this shop." "Yes Mavis owns the shop and well Lucy" I looked towards the stairs. "She's got stuff going on."

His eyes widened. "Lucy.." He whispered. "Do you know her or something?" I asked. "Huh what? Oh no I just used to know a Lucy." "Oh" was all I could say. "Natsu... Hey I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I'm hungry wan an grab that lunch now?" I heard Lucy call from up stairs.

My mood immediately brightened.

"Sure thing Luce!" The dude in front of me was staring at the stairs with wide eyes. "She sounds just like.." Lucy came running down the stairs. "Alright let's get going." She chirped. "Yea hold on this guy came in." I said motioning to the guy. I watched Lucy turn towards him and her eyes grew wide and her mouth dropped.

"Gray"

Who is the guy, more importantly who is he to Lucy?
