Serena stood up, observing her work. Ash was ok... for now. So what was there to do. Wait for ash to get better. But then a sound reminded her of what she must do. He stomach rumbled, and she realized she hadn't eaten for a day.

     She rummaged through her backpack, finding a small granola bar. She opened it up, sighing at the aroma that came from the package. She was about to eat it in almost one bite, when the same sound that had reminded her to eat reminded her of something again. But this time, it was from ash. "He must be hungry too" she said to herself.

     Serena bent the chewy granola, pulling off a piece. At first, she was going to wake ash up, but then she realized how peaceful he looked. She couldn't disturb him now. She placed the granola bar on a napkin that she had found in her backpack. Then, she wrote on the napkin 'for you' leaving it there for him whenever he needed it.

     Then it happened again. Her stomach. Wow, she was hungry. And that was all of her food, she had no more. She stood up, what to do, she thought. After a while of pondering the subject, she decided to try to find food. Getting up, she began to walk toward the bushes. As she walked they slowly turned into trees. Some with delicious berries on them.

     "Yummy" she said to no one. Serena walked around, trying to decide what berries were ok to eat. She knew a few berries from making poke puffs but the only one she recognized were the sweet oran berries. She decided to pick a few of those, as well as a few strange red ones that looked great. But, to be honest, everything looked great to her right now.

     As she walked back, she again heard her stomach rumble. 'One cant hurt' She thought. She popped one of the red berries into her mouth. At first, she was excited. The berry had a very interesting taste. But soon, that taste turned into a spicy one. She began to pant. "Ha... HOT!" she screamed.

     Oh no, she had left her water back at their camp area. She looked around, just trees and bushes. NO water. She began to panic. The spice now flared all through out her body. Then, she realized she had what she needed in her hands. She popped an oran berry into her mouth, letting the sweet juices flow through her mouth. "ahh" she sighed in relief. Now, she realized that it was getting later again. She through out all of the red berries and brought the rest back to where ash was resting. Again, tonight she could see the rain clouds approaching.

     Again she found the spot she had been last night. "Its gonna be another cold night" she said. But then, she heard ash stirring. "No... no" He said "we should share..." Serena was at first confused, then she realized what he meant. She began to lay down next to him, and he pulled her closer. Tonight they they would both be dry and warm.
