The figure was actually none other than The Unknown himself!

- Huh, a generic soldier made out of tin? I already knocked down an actual hero,what can you foolish machine do?

 The Anomaly said letting out a smug sigh. The Unknown was suprised grabbed his blade and responded:

- So... YOU must be The Anomaly,everybody talks about?

 This statement shocked the villain,this person,this weakling knows who he is. How did he know? Was this some kind of a trick? Whatever it was, it shall not last long.

- Hahah! You guessed correctly my friend! However you should never know the truth... Now time for your demise...

He walked up slowly to The Unknown ready to use his staff powers against him,however The Unknown grabbed a smoke bomb,making the entire room filled with a very thick smoke, The Anomaly stood around.

- Oh, playing a game of cat and mouse I see?

He kept looking around the room trying to find his enemy, but he was nowhere to be seen. After a while , the smoke vanished. He noticed that not only was the trope-hero gone,but Jimi Stringer too. It seemed like he and Stringer managed to escape him. That seemingly didn't bother Anomaly at all.
