Peter heard it all. Peter listened to every single conversation. He didn't need his spider- sense to feel the tension in the common room every time the team finished a meeting, he didn't need to ask what was happening, because he saw the worry, the pain of knowledge, the burden of saving the universe on their shoulders. And the same as every single time when he went out of his room to great the team after several hours of meetings and plans, he didn't say one word, because he knew that something was up.

He sat down next to Tony, leaning against his shoulder. The man's muscles were tensed, and upon contact with his kid, they loosened. Peter's eyes met Tony's, Tony instantly trying to hide the worry with a smile. Everyone sat around, no words being said, nobody really needing to say anything. They had one goal: defeat that goddamn grape.

After fifteen minutes of complete silence, in which nobody dared to say one word or move a muscle, Steve leaned forward, resting his arms on his thighs. He looked up.

"We need to go to Wakanda." he exclaimed, "times running out, and we need help. The faster we go, the longer we can prepare. T'Challa knows what's coming."

"And then there's Dr. Weirdo, the wizard, he has one of the Infinity Stones, right? What's he got to say?" Tony said.

"He needs to protect the Time Stone above all else, like Vision has to protect the Mind Stone. By now, Thanos might have already gained the Power and Space and even the Soul stones. If he gets all of them, we're doomed. His goal is to kill half of the universe, and he can do it with one snap of his fingers if he gets all of the stones." Bruce said.

"What about Thor and that maniac of his brother Loki? The wizard heard from them?" Tony asked.

"Asgard's destroyed. Thor is out of reach."

And Peter listened. These quiet after- meeting conversations in which nobody cared if he was listening or not. These conversations that never led them to any solutions, that always made them end up nowhere, with no plan, no idea, no way to get to space. And Peter could only gulp, because the future was not looking too good, and it was hard admitting the bitter truth...

He was scared.

------------------------------------------------

It was Tuesday when he was on the field trip with his school. It was also the same day in which this round-thing appeared over New York. And Peter knew exactly what was starting to happen. He didn't want that day to come, the day when the threat became reality, and Thanos would begin his destruction of half the universe's population. He dreaded that day, he saw it coming, with every nightmare it got more real. It finally came.

"Ned, I need you to cause a distraction."

It required only one sentence to make his best friend put on a show. He used the distraction to swiftly open a bus window with a web, swing out, and pull on his mask. Adrenaline pumped through his veins. Screw the damn rules, he wasn't going to spend the rest of the day worrying about the team, he needed to help.

He swung towards the commotion, not really caring where he was or what he was doing. He found an empty alley, putting on the rest of his suit. His senses were tingling him, and for some unknown reason, he knew exactly where to go.

He saw those aliens, a wizard, a second wizard doing magic stuff, he saw Bruce and Tony (dad, you didn't show me that new suit!), he sprung into action, throwing an already destroyed car at one of these alien dudes.

"Hey, hey, hey, what the hell are you guys doing here? Isn't there a law saying you can't visit another planet without some invitation? That's rude!" Peter exclaimed, throwing yet another piece of metal.

"Peter?! What the hell are you doing here?!" Peter heard Tony's voice throughthe comms. It went without saying, that Peter was utterly screwed.

"Oh, um, hey, Tony." Peter greeted the man, while vaguely avoiding a truck being thrown at him.

"Aren't you supposed to be on a school trip, kid? And did I not tell you, that you are not allowed to get involved with stuff to do with aliens?!" Tony's voice, Peter sensed, was on the verge of panic.

"Yeah, sorry, but I need to help!" Peter exclaimed. And before he got hit by a lamp-post, he heard a very loud and angry "PETER!" through the comms, which he very much liked to ignore.

And everything would have ended well if Strange hadn't been dragged up with the alien dude up to that......round spaceship? Peter was really cursing his precise descriptions, but what mattered more was Tony's order "if you're gonna be of any help, you might as well save the wizard", and Peter didn't mind finding himself being dragged by the blue light as well if it meant saving that glowing infinity stone and the wizard with it.

"Tony....Tony...I'm being dragged in....OWWW! DAAAAD, HELP! The wizard is up there!" Peter yelled through the comms, his voice breaking in panic. It was a matter of seconds until he landed on-top of the spaceship. Another thing, he realized, was.... he couldn't breathe. Using all of his strength to keep on holding on, feeling as the fabric of his mask became wet as tears of hopelessness sprung into his eyes. He pulled of his mask, gasping for air, clinging on for dear life. New York was just a mere spot now, the spaceship flying higher and higher.

Peter was beginning to see black. He felt his grip loosen.

"Dad...Dad...I can't...brea-breathe."

"Pete, you gotta let go, I'm gonna catch you!" Peter heard his dad's voice through the comms. And so he did, because what else was there to do? Tony's words held no sense, but hope spread through his body as he heard something fly towards him. It wasn't Tony. Something spread across his body, it felt similarly to when he put on his suit. He looked down, completely loosing sense of where he was or what he was doing, he gazed down, finding himself wearing the brand new suit his dad finished a week ago. As his face got covered with the new mask, he took in a deep breath, slowly seeing the blurry image of the sky and spaceship become sharp again. Just as he was about to crash onto the spaceship, he did a backflip, landing feet first on-top of it.

"FRIDAY, send him home, and tell Pepper to excuse Peter's sudden absence." Peter heard Tony's voice.

"Tony, I need to help you!" Peter shouted, feeling the parachute activating trying to send him down. Peter clung on, fighting the strong pull of the parachute.

"Peter, you get down! We are in space, kiddo, this is dangerous! I can't let you-"

"And I can't let you die as well!" Peter yelled, feeling his eyes water again. He pulled himself towards a hidden entrance to the spaceship, climbing inside, the doors closing after him. He felt himself being pulled up, and he discovered it took him right to where Iron Man was standing.

Iron Man's face-plate opened revealing a furious Tony Stark.

"What did I tell you, Peter?!" Tony hissed, evidently trying to keep his voice down, "we are in space, Peter! What were you thinking when you decided to join us, fighting these alien dudes, Thanos's children?! This is dangerous, do you know what we are up against?! The team went to Wakanda, Pepper's on Earth with no one to stay with, we are both missing, alone with a wizard, not knowing where the hell we are going! Do you understand that we are up against all odds, now?!" Tony shouted, glaring daggers at Peter. The man sighed in frustration, worry entering his eyes, "Jesus, Pete, do you understand that this is a one-way ticket, we've literally have no plan, we are on a flying doughnut, with a Voldemort look-alike, a magic dude, needing to save him because without him we are doomed."

"Flying doughnut, Voldemort look-alike?" Peter grinned widely. Tony glared at the teen.

"Be of some use, we need to save Strange." Tony said, coming up to the barrier and gazing down at Strange floating horizontally in the air, spikes surrounding his body, the alien-dude in front of him.

"Any idea?"

"Remember when we watched that really old movie Aliens 2?" Peter asked. Tony rolled his eyes.

"And you spilled coke on the couch? Yeah, I remember, so what they did is your plan off attack? I should talk to Fury about including watching movies in the program of training SHIELD agents, if they give you life-saving ideas in life-or-death situations." Tony said. Peter smiled.

"You up for it?"

"You're so grounded if this goes wrong."

"Duly noted."

(A/N:) Infinity War....yeah, guys....we need to get through this mess and fix-it, I can't stand it, you can't stand it, something's gotta happen. So, we've got Tony, Peter and Strange on the flying doughnut going to...

But anyway's, hope you liked the chapter, like this one, the next one's going to be following the plot of Infinity War. If you haven't yet seen Infinity War, for I don't know what reason, I would advise you avoid the next chapter until you've watched it, but I think you will, because come on guys, it has been nine days.

After three times of having watched the movie, I kind of came to terms with what happened, that's a huge exaggeration, but you get it, and I've finally decided that if I'm supposed to wait a year for Avengers 4, I need to write a fix-it, because I just can't stand it.

Happy to hear from you, if you wanna talk, feel free to write to me!
