i was definitely not honoured that he was my first customer. in fact, i wasn't even the slightest happy. i didn't want a beggar to be my first customer. i wanted an actual customer, and not him.

"well guess what, i don't consider you as my first customer. maybe, you are just my non existent number zero customer." i said to him frankly. i didn't like how he always appeared in front of me, thinking that he could be in my good favour but the truth was, he wasn't even worth to be.

"it's okay. at least to me, i'm happy that you got a two dollar. it's definitely baby steps to success. and at least to me, i myself know that i am in fact your first customer." he then instantly disappeared from my sight.

i don't understand his actions, nor him.

---

a young man stood in front of the counter as i was coming down from upstairs. i quickly rushed towards the counter to serve him.

but then, his hands were empty and there was nothing on the table. he was folding his arms and he had an annoyed expression painted on his face.

"sir, how may i help you?" i questioned him politely. he clicked his tongue and extended his hand, as if wanting to receive something from me. i was confused at his actions and that was when he finally snapped.

"you! that beggar stole my two dollar bill and gave it to you! give me back my money right now miss, before i make things even worse." he threatened in a dangerously low tone.

i was even more confused. that two dollar? but didn't that beggar took it out from his own pocket?

"okay miss, let me reinterpret. that beggar stole a two dollar from my cash box while i wasn't looking and instantly ran away. right now, that two dollar bill is in your cash box, so i want it back."

realisation dawned me that the beggar couldn't possibly have that two dollar popping out from nowhere.

"sir, i'm extremely sorry to do so." another voice cut in. i snapped my head towards the entrance of the stall and saw that beggar was standing there, his head hanging low.

"sorry? you think just a sorry can erase what everything you've done? obviously not." the man replied, as his voice was getting louder and louder. i saw that the outside of my shop was packed like sardines with curious on-lookers and it was no doubt due to these two who had attracted their attention.

just the first day of business, and i can foresee myself doomed. in addition, it was all because of that beggar who had cause this commotion.

"look, sir, i will give you back the two dollar note. in return, please don't cause a scene in my stall." i talked to him using a calm tone.

"no! you can't give back him that two dollar note, cho youn! i was the one who bought the stationeries using my money and now that i have give it to you, it has now became your money." that beggar protested. the young man raised his fist, as if wanting to punch him, and i knew that things were not going to look good.

i quickly rushed in front of the beggar. the next thing i knew, i felt a sharp pain on my cheek as i flew towards the ground.

groaning, i held my cheek in pain as i slowly flickered my eyes towards the young man. his mouth was hanging open and he was fidgeting as well.

i couldn't stand it anymore. i was so done with him, i was done with the beggar, and i was just so done with everything.

"security!" i screamed hysterically. the securitiy guard immediately made their way here and held the young man who was struggling free from their grab.

"bring him to the police station and report the case. i will head there later after i am done dealing with some stuffs." i told them. they brought out the young man, and now it was just me and the beggar.

i sat down on the ground as i faced the beggar who was still standing up and he was fiddling with his fingers.

"i'll go with you to the police station." he mumbled. i sighed in frustration as i shook my head.

"you don't need to, i will solve everything there. get away from me, i don't want to see you again, you filthy and idiotic beggar."
