Abigail walked into class, book in hand. She sat down at one of the tables and started reading.

"Three of us stood left. A horde of zombies was descending on us. The blood pounded in my head, my hands were sweaty, I looked at my companions, scared, frightened." Abigail smiled as she read the book.

It was about a zombie apocalypse.

"Zombies, huh?" Calypso raised a brow.

"Huh? Oh, yeah. I LOVE this book. It's a zombie apocalypse book and it's really good." Abigail told him.

"Very interesting." He hummed.

Circe and Ivy waited outside of the classroom. Kai had just received information on that the day of the duel had been rescheduled from Friday to today. Cameron was tapping his foot nervously and Cloud leaned against the wall. Kai had decidedly not told anyone. Not even his childhood best friend could know.

"Kai, please?" Cameron begged him, he hadn't stopped since lunch.

"Can you drop this shit for today at least? We can continue our debate tomorrow?" If he was still alive, Kai thought.

Cameron looked to the side, why wouldn't Kai listen?

"Look, at my duel tomorrow, I am inviting everyone so he can't do shit to me," Kai huffed.

"You're thick as pigshit, Kai! Hades, Doesn't. Care! He'd kill you with your whole family watching and he'd enjoy it!"

"But people will jump in! He can't win a 1 v 10,"

"They'll be taken out just as easily as you would." Cameron shook his head.

"You overestimate him. Teachers will whoop him." Kai rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, right." Cameron scoffed, "It's the Principal's game and you're playing right into her hands!"

"What do you meaaaaan?"

"You're a fucking dumbass, that's what I mean!" And with that, Cameron stormed off.

"Rude."

Alexa hovered a bit, impatient for the school day to end. Jeremiah had decided to snoop around after hearing about the duel and noticed E.P.R was acting off. He had just came back to the classroom deep in thought.

"What's up, Jerry?" Fern asked him.

"A lot."

"Gonna tell me about it?" She tilted her head.

"Depends if you wanna know," Jeremiah sighed.

"I do." Fern nodded

Hades walked in, whistling. Charlotte bounced in. Then, Shelby walked in. She was reading a book. Hades gave a slight wave before grabbing a seat. Shelby didn't look up from her book as she took a seat on the opposite side of the room from Hades.

"I suppose you guys gave heard the rumors of me going to duel Kai?" He raised a brow.

Shelby looked up,"Well, I guess it's a good thing I got this apocalypse book from Abigail then."

"Apocalypse- What the hell do you mean by that? It's a duel, no one is going to die, nothing bad will happen after and everyone will remain the same."

Shelby glared at Hades,"It was a joke."

"That's what they all say." Hades rolled his eyes, before whispering so no one could hear,"Even a handbook straight from the devil won't help you."

Shelby leapt to her feet,"Uhm... I'm gonna just go to my room and grab something I forgot." And she rushed out of the room.

Hades raised an eyebrow.

Mr Tobias say on his desk, "You've made sure the dueling ground is safe I assure?"

"Relatively. It's tomorrow so I'll worry about it tomorrow."

"If need be, I shall supervise." Mr Tobias offered.

Shelby rushed into her room. She started sorting through her bookshelf.

"Stuff on withers, stuff on evil Masterminds, stuff on our school." She thought,"Those are the books I need."

Ryland was napping on the couch.

Shelby burst in, carrying a stack of newspapers. She started sorting through them.

"Disappearing students, a sudden fire in the science lab, crow-like birds hanging around." She muttered to herself as she read the papers.

"Woah, relax. What's all this?" Valkyrie asked.

"Studying." Shelby stated and continued to read the old newspapers,"Apparently, this school has a lot of interesting history. Mostly disappearing students and accidents with dragons among other things."

"Isn't that... Convenient. Valkyrie glared at Hades.

Hades rolled his eyes.

"Don't kill him." She mouthed.

"What's stopping him?" Shelby looked up at her.

Valkyrie was silent, what was stopping Hades? Nothing, that's what.

"Valkyrie, catch!" Shelby threw Valkyrie the most recent newspaper,"Read it!"

It was an article on how cold it was at the school and the sightings of strange creatures.

"Jesus-"She caught it and began to read.

Hades smiled.

"You are the worst." Valkyrie sighed.

"Aw, thank you!" Hades chuckled.

"Where the fuck did the teacher go!?" Valkyrie looked around, Mr Tobias had vanished.

"He knows something."

"To be fair, we are loudly talking about it in the middle of class." Valkyrie nodded.

"Like, more than you," He sighed

"Well, he's gone now." Valkyrie shrugged.
