How to Properly Deal with Hate Accounts

Our first thing is to attack or report the account. But as I stated, attacking can do more problems. But what about reporting? Well, it actually can do more harm than good.

If you share the hate account to your followers, and 1/3 of your followers report the account along with everyone else who has seen that account, the reported tickets get slowed down. In turn, this causes the account to stay up for much longer because Wattpad is having to finish getting the tickets out.

Another problem is that, if someone is sensitive, they can have lasting affects when reading the messages on the hate account. So this can cause problems for some of your followers.

With that in mind, the next question, what do we do? Those who already know of the account should just block it, then reach out to a Wattpad ambassador. You should tell them the situation and let them handle the account. You should inform your followers to be wary of hate accounts and to let them know how to deal with them when they do come across them.
