{This one-shot takes time between "Have Dragon Will Travel, part 1/2" episodes.

When Astrid and Heather have their girl talk, but I changed the whole script.

And do you like overprotective Hiccup? Or maybe the jealous Hiccup? Because I do!

If you like it too, you will like this chapter too!

Warning: this and second chapters are a little bit mature. Bad language, violence. Young eyes, please get away from your phone screens.

°*°*

It all started like a normal day; Hiccup was working on a new tail for Toothless. Fishlegs was reading the book of dragons, for the third time in a row. Snotlout was sleeping his so called 'beauty' sleep. The twins were Thor knows where. And the two girls, Astrid with Heather have walked out to have some girl-talk time.

Everything was too...quiet. Like the calm before the storm.

"So, you and Hiccup are a thing, right?" Heather asked as she pulled Astrid's axe out of a tree. Astrid widened her eyes as she threw her axe.

"What?! No! We're just friends!" Astrid blushed. "And nothing more." She looked away, sounding a little bit hurt.

"So, you like him?" Heather smirked as Astrid blushed even more. "And I'm sure he likes you too." She said and threw her axe at the target.

Astrid looked at her sadly. "And if he does... then why he's never made a first move?" She asked.

Heather was about to answered, but a loud thud stopped her. "What was that?"

Astrid turned his head to the direction where they've heard it and started to walk towards the beach, Heather behind her.

When they came out of the forest, in front of them was a small boat, and next to it was a guy.

The blonde girl gasped. "Go, call the gang!" She told her and Heather nodded her head.

Astrid ran up to the lying guy and knelt beside him. She looked at his face and frozen. He had dark hair, his skin was pale and a bruise on his right cheek was resting. A shiny silver ring pierced into his bottom lip. He also had a tattoo on his neck and was pretty muscular.

The blonde girl slowly put his hand on his shoulder and gently shook it.

"Hey, are you alright?" She asked softly as the dark-haired guy started to wake up.

And soon Astrid's eyes were staring at his dark ones. His eyes were dark, they seemed to be the same color as his hair, and he looked dangerous.

"Are you my Angel from Heaven?" The dark-eyed guy asked, his voice harsh. Astrid blushed, but she didn't like that he called her his Angel, because she wasn't and never will be.

When Astrid wanted to pull her hand away, she felt his grip on her wrist and it wasn't gently. The girl's eyes widened and she looked down at her hand.

Astrid has already begun to regret that she didn't have her axe with her. "Let go of my hand.." She whispered and glared at him. He just smirked.

"Don't be scared, Angel, I won't hurt you." He laughed but released his grip.

The blonde girl stood up and sent him a death glare. She looked at her wrist, which was slightly red and started to rub it gently with her other hand.

"Declan." He said as he stood up. And when he did, in front of him, Astrid seemed like a little girl. "I'm Declan, and you will be..." Declan repeated and stretched out his hand.

"Astrid." She answered coldly, completely ignoring his hand.

Roar

The blonde girl and dark-haired guy looked to the left side. Astrid's eyes lit up when she saw her dragon and friends approaching them. Now, not being alone with Declan, Astrid felt much safer than a few seconds ago.

No, she wasn't afraid of him, she just felt very uncomfortable to be near him alone.

Astrid looked up from the ground and her ocean-blue eyes met forest-green ones. The auburn male looked worried.

"Did he do something to you?" Hiccup asked, worry and concern in his voice, but little did she know, that there was somethong more than just worry and concern in it, something like angry...

She widened her eyes a little and looked at him, confused. "Huh?"

He didn't say anything but looked at her wrist and back into her eyes, then at her wrist and back into her eyes. She was still holding it with her other hand, and then Astrid realized what he was talking about.

"Hiccup, I'm fine." She said softly. "It's nothing." But the auburn male wasn't buying any of her words at all, so he
gently took her small wrist in his large hand and when he saw it, he frowned.

"Did he do it?" He asked, anger growing in his voice already.

Even if Astrid wasn't his girlfriend, Hiccup had very strong feelings for her. And the feeling to defend her was one of them.

Of course, he knew that she didn't need his protection because she could defend herself perfectly fine, but sometimes even the strongest soldiers need a break.

She was a human, after all.

"Hiccup," she looked at him. "It's nothing," Astrid said, and walked toward Heather, leaving him alone.

"Are you-?" The black-haired girl started as Astrid stood beside her.

The blonde girl sighed. "Not you too, Heather." She nodded, understandably and turned her attention to the dark-eyed guy.

"As I said to this Angel," he looked at Astrid. "I am Declan. Declan Losender." The guy introduced himself, still looking at her.

And at the moment, when Declan gave Astrid that nickname, Hiccup's facial expression changed into an angry one. The auburn male did not like that some stranger called his girl... - I mean... - calls his best friend an Angel.

No, Hiccup wasn't usually the jealous type. All the time when Snotlout or Gustav was flirting with Astrid, Hiccup always was trying to ignore it. Why? Because he knew she'd never date them. But most importantly, he knew neither Snotlout, nor Gustav would never hurt her because Astrid was their friend.

But with Declan was another story. And that was a problem. He was a totally stranger to the gang. They did not know him. They didn't know from where he was. They didn't know how he ended up here. They didn't know anything about him.

And Hiccup wasn't going to risk Astrid's safety.

"Where are you from?" The auburn male said as he stood in front of the gang, and gave Declan a cold look.

"And what will you be?" The guy asked, and looked at Hiccup in disgust.

"Answer the question." The auburn male repeated and gritted his teeth.

"Why should I?" Declan said, and both boys glared at each other.

"Just answer the f*cking question!" Hiccup yelled and his right hand clenched into a fist.

Meanwhile, Tuffnut and Ruffnut looked at each other and grinned. "Fight! Fight! Fight!" They both yelled.

And after a moment, only shouts could be heard. The twins and Snotlout kept repeating the word 'fight', Fishlegs and Heather tried to soothe them down, and Declan and Hiccup were arguing.

"ENOUGH!" Astrid yelled, when she lost her patience, and they all became quiet. "If everything what Declan said is true, he has nowhere else to go. His ship crashed. And as he said, he was the only one who survived." She said and looked at the auburn male, then back at Declan.

"He," she looked at Hiccup again. "is Hiccup, our leader," Astrid said proudly. "Let's go with us, and we will help you."

The auburn male widened his eyes. "Astrid." He said with a scowl. She turned and looked into his eyes; his face was just a few inches away from her. "We can't trust a stranger."

"A few years ago, we didn't know Heather as well, she was a totally stranger, and look where we are now." She reminded him. "We help people, not push them away," Astrid said and started to go towards her dragon, the rest of the gang following her, except Hiccup and Declan.

Hiccup turned around and looked at the dark-haired guy. "You will fly with me." He said coldly.

"She has a perfect body, don't you think?" Declan said and grinned evilly.

Hiccup stopped to go. His expression turned into an angry one as his brows furrowed together in a glare. His hands were clenched into fists at his sides and the knuckles were white. The auburn male turned around.

"The perfect girl for me, isn't she?" Hiccup sent him a death glare.

"You stay away from her." The auburn male hissed through his teeth and took a few steps closer to him. Hiccup hated that Declan was taller than him.

"And what if I don't?" He smirked. "It's hard to do it when the girl like my Angel- Ow!" Declan screamed out in pain. "What the f*ck, dude?!" He yelled and held his jaw.

"Touch her," Hiccup said in a very low and dangerous voice. "and you will get more than one punch." He said and turned away.

"Oh, and if I was you, I wouldn't dare to hit me, right now," Hiccup added, as he looked at Declan again, who held his fist in the air, ready to punch him, but a loud snarl stopped him. "This is Toothless, by the way." The auburn male smirked as Declan dropped his hand.

{Um... turns out, there will be two parts, even when I planned to do one.

Anyway, how was it?

Good or bad?

Too much overprotective Hiccup, or not?

Tell me about it.}
