Hiccup walked glumly towards Astrid's hut. It was pitch black that night, only the stars shone their light. Hiccup kicked a small rock off the edge of the cliff. He looked in at her sleeping figure.
Just that morning, Astrid was successfully diagnosed with the Scourge of Odin. She and Stormfly were on daily patrol, when they came across a lost ship. What they did not know was that all the people on the ship had the Scourge. Now Astrid lies on her death bed, unless Hiccup and the rest of the gang can find the elusive Buffalord dragon.
Hiccup walked close to her. His hand reached out, but soon withdrew to his side. All Hiccup wanted to do was hold her and tell her it was going to be alright. Hiccup's sighing woke Astrid.
"Hiccup?" Astrid groaned.
"Astrid, go back to sleep," Hiccup told her.
"I just want you to stay with me," Astrid pleaded. "Just sitting next to me in that chair." Hiccup obliged and scooted the chair close to her. Astrid sighed. "I wish I could hug you," she whimpered. "It'd make me feel better."
Hiccup leaned over her and pulled her up into a hug. "I don't care if I get sick. I need you, Astrid."
Astrid leaned into Hiccup's embrace. She sighed.

    Astrid and Hiccup sat outside the clubhouse, overlooking the ocean.
     "Hiccup?" Astrid started.
     Hiccup hummed.
     "I just wanted to say that, I'm really grateful! If probably be dead without you," Astrid said with a small smile.
     "Eh, it's no problem, you'd 'ave done the same," Hiccup insisted.
     Astrid leaned into his shoulder. She mumbled something inaudible.
     "What's that? I couldn't understand," Hiccup questioned.
     "The reason I can't imagine a world without you in it, is because I love you," Astrid whispered.
     She ducked her head. Hiccup lifted it and swept her bangs away. Astrid blinked once and then watched Hiccup. Hiccup leaned closer, until.
     "Good morning edge!"
