You've probably heard of a poker face. Keeping your face dead clear of emotions or movements to prevent the other plays from figuring out your move set.

Now this, can be applied to daily life. Your entire body makes certain motions that you do not know of , that speaks to a person even before you exchange words with them.

Take your arms for example, if they're not crossed or covering your torso, it means you're open to conversation. This can change mid conversation. It can also convey nervousness depending on the situation.

Reading tells in a person such as this helps you understand what a person is like before even opening your mouth to speak to them

A few other tells are their legs, feet positioning, the way they shake your hand, the way they talk , their posture as well to a certain extent can help you understand a person.

Now, knowing all this, you can figure out how to disguise your body language from people who can read it, making it a very invaluable skill to learn. Considering of course, you dear reader, don't like to be schooled by someone always two steps ahead of you.

Unfortunately I won't be able to mention everything related to body language. But learning the basics would help you stay a step ahead of most people.
