Ruby's POV

Dream

CHIRP

CHIRP

I heard chirping around me before slowly opening my eyes to see that I was standing in a pathway surrounded by plants and trees.

Flowers blowing along with the wind as I looked around to see the flowers slowly following the wind while I stood there.

"Where am I?"

No answer.

Nothing answered me.

All I could hear was the wind blowing the flowers away. The wind rustling through the trees as I stood there.

"Why am I still alive?"
I asked myself as I thought of him.

"Y/N."

Why am I still here. Why am I still alive?"
I asked myself, feeling a tear run down my cheek.

Suddenly I heard humming coming down from the path. I slowly started walking down the path as I felt the wind blow through my hair. As I walked farther down the path, the humming got louder and louder. I continued to walk down the path to see the house.

"Why am I here?"
I asked as I looked at the house, seeing the flowers lay against the wood. The roses lining up against the side of the house.

Suddenly I heard a baby cry as I looked to the side. Out of curiously, I slowly walked towards the side. As I got closer and closer, I heard creaking as the baby stopped. I slowly looked around the corner to see her. My eyes widen as I looked at her.

"M-M-Mom?"

Third Person POV

Ruby stood there as she looked at Summer and her young self sitting in front of her.

Baby Ruby: Mama.

Summer: Yes baby.
She said as she looked at her.

Baby Ruby: I wove you.

Summer: I love you too my little rose.
She said and kissed her on the forehead.

Ruby: M-Mom?
She asked as tears ran down her cheeks, slowly reaching out to her.

Baby Ruby: Mama. W-Whare wabbit
She asked as Summer giggled at her.

Summer: Lagombi.
She called out as she looked at baby Ruby.

THUD

Ruby slowly turned to the side to see a monster coming through the trees as it slowly walked towards Summer and Baby Ruby.

Ruby: L-L-Lagombi?
She asked as she remembered something.

Ruby: B-B-But i-i-its dead.
She said as she pulled out Y/N's note with the dead names.

Ruby: H-How?
She asked as Baby Ruby grabbed Lagombi's Lagombi's hands as she giggled.

Baby Ruby: Wabbit!
She yelled excitingly as Lagombi smiled as it sat in front of her.

Baby Ruby: Mine!
She yelled as she hugged Lagombi tightly.

Summer giggled as Ruby looked at Lagombi with shock in her eyes.

BANG

Suddenly they heard a gunshot as Lagombi roared in pain.

Summer: Lagombi!
She yelled as Atlesian Soldiers come out of the forest before seeing one throw a grenade at them.

Ruby stood there as she see Lagombi shield her younger self, taking the blast as she was protected.

Summer: Ruby!
She yelled and ran to Lagombi to see Baby Rub crying out loudly before holding onto her.

Lagombi: S-S-S-she's fine.
She said weakly as she looked at her.

Summer: Come on. We got to go.
She said as she looked at her fellow monster, tears ran down her cheeks.

Lagombi: G-G-Get her out of here.
She said weakly as tears ran down her cheeks.

Atlesian Soldier: Summer Rose. You're under arrest. Arrest for terrorism. And breaking out an experiment.
One said as Lagombi looked at her.

Lagombi: Do it. Don't let them take me.
She said weakly as she looked at her.

SLASH

Ruby looked in shock as Summer shove her claw into the soldier's throat while Lagombi held onto baby Ruby.

Atlesian Soldier 2: FIRE!
One yelled as he shot at Summer to only feel his weapon be smacked away and grabbed at the head.

Atlesian Soldier 3: DAMN MONSTER!
A woman yelled as she aimed at her.

Summer slowly turned around and threw a blade at her.

SHANK

The blade stabbed the soldier as Summer crushed the other's head, killing him as a soldier ran towards baby Ruby.

Atlesian Soldier 4: I can at least kill its offsrping!
He yelled as Lagombi and Ruby looked at him with shock.

SHANK

The atlesian soldier attempted to stab Baby Ruby but saw Lagombi holding her hand out in between.

Atlesian Solder 4: Fucking monster!
He yelled as he aimed at her.

Before he could pull the trigger, Lagombi bit into his neck as he screamed in pain.

BANG

BANG

BANG

BANG

BANG

The solder shot multiple rounds into Lagombi as she groaned in pain before his body went motionless.

Ruby watched as Summer ran to her younger self to see Lagombi lay on the ground motionless, holding the crying Ruby in her arms.

Summer: I-I'm so sorry.
She said as she held the baby Ruby while kneeling in front of Lagombi.

Summer: I'm so sorry Lagombi.

Ruby's POV

H-H-How?

I-I-I was taken care of by one?

"T-T-That's impossible."
I said to myself, seeing Lagombi on the ground.

???: See. The humans don't care about us.
I heard his voice.

I slowly turned around to see him.

"Y-Y-Y/N?"

Y/N: The humans don't care about those other than themselves.
He said as he slowly turned around and walked towards a portal.

"W-W-W-Wait."

"P-P-P-Please don't go."
I begged him as I reached for him.

"P-P-P-Please don't leave me."

"Don't leave me like my mom did."

To Blake

Blake was sitting in her room as she had a multiple plates of food in front of her .

Blake: O-Only three months t--then this is over.
She said to herself as she ate her food before seeing the door open to see Weiss.

Weiss: Why are you eating so much food? At least save the rest for Yang.
She said to her.

Blake: NO!
She yelled at her, angrily.

Weiss: Hey. No need to yell.
She said as she looked at her.

Blake: O-O-Oh. S-S-sorry.
She said as she looked down.

Weiss: Don't be.
She said and walked out of the room, leaving Blake alone in the room.

Blake: H-H-How am I going to tell the others?
She asked as she looked at a photo of her team with Y/N.

Y/N in the middle Yang and her hugging him by the arms as Ruby sat on his shoulders while Weiss stood in front of him.

Blake: W-W-Where are you Y/N.
She said to herself, tears slowly running down her cheeks as she had her hand on her stomach.
