My eyes widened, frozen in shock and fear. I shakily turned my head to face Scarlett's cold eyes with the same expression.
I motioned my head slightly to the figure standing there. I couldn't see who it was, nor why they here. Scarlett shrugged, still a little surprised. I took a half a step towards her and leaned forward to her ear.
"Who is that?" I asked with fear in voice.
"I don't know." She replied, looking ahead.
"What do they want?" I asked again.
"I don't know."
I nodded, still useless information, and stood straight up.
"Who are you?" I commanded weaklyIt sounded better in my head.
"I-I can't tell you." They replied. A male voice.
"Who are you." I said again, fiercer.
"I can't tell you!" He shouted back.
"Who?!"
He didn't answer. The silhouette crouched back, cowarding. I sighed, and took a deep breath before speaking again.
"Please...tell me. Who are you? And what do you want?"
"Fine." He gave up.
The silhouette stepped forward, into the little light there was: a small lamp in the corner and dim lights in hallway.
I swallowed the lump that formed in my throat before speaking. "Dad?"
