I tapped my foot anxiously as I waited in my room with Olivia patting my back, Sophie in the kitchen getting me a drink, and Scarlett pacing back and forth in front of me.

"What if he's not okay?" I blurt out.

"The vet already said that he will." Olivia tells me for the hundreth time.

"You're right." I agree, but I keep telling myself otherwise.

The rain pounded louder and louder and at first it was just the rain, but I realized my heart was in my ears, and I made myself slow down and breathe. I soon turned the tv on to distract me, but I don't know if that was any better.

"Snkw has covered the entire city of Louisville, and all hope of leaving is gone. Roads are blocked off completely, electric posts are down, and snow plows can barely get out. Better stay warm and cozy up, you're going to be stuck for a bit." The female news reporter said, and the news clicked off, going to another screen.

Sophie barged in the room, spilling the glasses of water. "They're here."

I jumped up from my bed, and Scarlett ran next to me down the stairs where two vets were standing.

"So?" I questioned.

One took a deep breath. "He's going to be fine." He let it out.

"Thank god."

"But, he's going to be on stall rest for quite a while. You should be lucky he's fine. Now, here's some medication and some things you'll have to put on his wounds. Rewrap the leg wraps every once in a while. Once he can walk, I would hose off the drainage from his leg wounds and walk him around a little when he's feeling up for it. You probably won't be able to compete in the first few shows of the season, but that's better for Tigger's health." The other vet concludes.

"Thank you, both." I thank them.

They smile and I close the door shut, a sigh of relief escaping my mouth.

"I'm glad that's over." Scarlett sighs.

"Yeah. I'm going upstairs." I say, turning on my heels and walking up the steps.

I stop at the landing and turn around. "Thanks, Scarlett. For everything."

She smiles and turns to the kitchen while I walk to my room. I never thought Scarlett could be so nice and thoughtful. She cared so much for Tigger and was actually concerned when he was hurt. I regret every mean thing I ever said about her, but part of me still doesn't want anything to leave my head.

And my dad. What about him? Is he lying or is my imagination just playing with me. He has been suspicious about everything, and I know that we don't have the most money, but we are wealthy and he tries to give me everything I need. He even got me my first horse when I first started riding. I didn't want Bear. I was too inexperienced but he had other thoughts. I never would have met Bear if it weren't for him; And I wouldn't be here.

So sorry for the long wait!!! I thought I was going to update yesterday and I know it's a short chapter and I guess it's not too exciting but at least its up!!

I hope you enjoy and again I'm sorry!!
