𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲:
emilia ford is the eldest and only living child of abraham ford. when the world shit itself, she was with her once family of five. she was visiting from where she lived in austin, texas with her girlfriend. after the world fell, she couldn't reach her girlfriend and knew the worst of the worst happened.

while they stayed in a grocery store, abraham was out scavenging. that's when the men came. they did the unthinkable to emilia's mother and baby brother and sister. so she did the only she think she could in attempt to protect them. she killed the first three men with her knife. then he father returned and killed the final two with a can of baked beans.

covered head to toe in blood, her mother and siblings cowered away from her and her father. that night, they left. they didn't get far because the next morning, emilia woke to them missing. she woke her father frantically. both rushed from the grocery story only to find three chewed on corpses.

emilia didn't scream or cry. she shut down. all of her emotions turned themselves off. and suddenly she was numb. from that moment forward, she was numb. she couldn't cry for her dead mother and siblings. she couldn't cry for her dead girlfriend.

eugene porter saved her and her father's lives the same day the rest of their family died. he claimed he had a mission. he needed to get to washington, d.c. because he knew how to stop it. he had a cure to bring life back. all hope was restored in abraham, but his daughter couldn't feel a damn thing.

on their journey to d.c. they found rosita espinosa, a woman who became a role model in emilia's life. after she accepted the fact her father had already moved on from her dead mother. rosita loved abraham so to emilia, she was alright. rosita also loved emilia as her own even if she was only a couple years older than her.

then, over a year into the shitty apocalypse, abraham parked their monster of an army truck. all four of them watched as a woman bashed the skull of a walker in. 

emilia was sure she fell in love as soon as the woman looked up at the truck and shouted, "hope you enjoyed the show, assholes!"

oh, emilia most certainly did.

so, emilia has a great sense of humor like her father. she doesn't have his anger though, she's numb. she literally can't feel emotions at all. until the night of the lineup. something in her comes back on the night her father is killed. it's like everything crashes over her all at once. it's like she wakes up and she's real again.

when abraham is killed she screams and cries harder than she ever has. she is beside him too which makes it so much worse. she wants nothing more than to reach out for her dad and hold him, hug him one last time.

emilia is with daryl, michonne, and carol when they find the pike victims because the trauma duhhhh!!! i mean, why not just let her see everyone's she loves dead and/or die, right?? right!!!

this is not very slow burn because emilia falls head over heels for tara the moment she lays eyes on her. like if she was a cartoon character there would be heart eyes. i'd like for tara and emilia to be together by at least season six (before the lineup).

emilia does go to live at the hilltop because she can't stay in alexandria with negan being held as a prisoner there. she and tara both live at the hilltop together after the falling out they have with michonne. but she still loves rosita and eugene very, very much.

she grows rather close with jesus (obviously). i would also like for her to have a mother-daughter type of relationship with either maggie, sasha, or carol. any of the three would be great but that part is completely up to you.

you can decide what she contributes to. is she a doctor because siddiq taught her in the year and half time jump between season eight and nine? is she a fighter? is she trying to settle down and be a simple farmer? we all know the last isn't going to work out for her sadly. i wish she snd tara could just settle down and grow into little old ladies together who pick tomatoes.
