𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲:
valentina gómez was a skilled neurologist in king county, georgia. she lived in a nice home on top of a hill with a long drive-way lined with dozens of colorful flowers. if there was one thing she loved more than helping people, it was her flowers. she loved the smell of them, she loved the color they brought into her life.

she needed color after her husband of three years died in a fatal car accident two weeks before their four year anniversary. he was hit by a drunk driver head on. and as it just so happens, the drunk driver survived thanks to her skills.

with nothing left but her own mind, valentina stays behind with a man in the hospital after the dead wake and start to eat people. his name, she learned, was rick grimes. he had been shot and was in a coma. everyone else abandoned the hospital after the military stormed it, killing everyone and every undead creature inside.

valentina stuffed herself between two water heaters in the basement. she made it out alive. she was always cautious when leaving the hospital to get more supplies from her home or stores. she stayed in the hospital a lot of the time.

there was a man and his son that she met after the world ended. morgan jones was his name, his son was dwanye. they were kind to valentina, always helped her out when she needed it the most.

she learned about his dead wife and he learned about her dead husband. but isiah had been buried for a long time, morgan's wife still wandered the streets of their neighborhood.

when rick grimes woke that day in the hospital, valentina was making one of her runs to her house to get something she needed. after she returned, she found rick's bed empty. she panicked and rushed to morgan's house where he quickly ushered her inside and told her that rick was upstairs in his bed.

dwanye had hit him square in the face with a shovel. valentina grimaced when she heard about that. she introduced herself to rick when he woke up, telling him that she'd been taking care of him for the month since the world went to total shit. as she and morgan informed him of the end of times, rick was stunned into a silence. he was worried about his wife and son. 

the next day, rick and valentina set into atlanta on a horse they stole from an abandoned house. that's when their lives took a horrible turn. they chased after a helicopter. as they rounded a building, hundreds of the undead turned to face them. the horse reared its front legs. they raced away only to be bucked off the horse.

the poor horse was taken down by the undead. rick and valentina pulled themselves under a tank and quickly realized they were utterly screwed. that was when valentina saw the hatch. they got in the tank as fast as they could.

there was a dead man inside. valentina reached over him and grabbed the glock off of his body. then she saw the hand grenade. she grabbed it and held it up to her face. that was when the dead man started to move. she and rick panicked. then he shot it. their ears rang and their ears throbbed.

just when they thought they had met their ends, a voice came over the radio, "hey, y'all. dumbasses. yeah, you two in the tank. cozy in there?"

𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬:
okay, this is a VERYYYYY slow burn book as rick is still with lori at the start of this plot. but i'd like for you to start developing their relationship in about season four and have then together by season six.

valentina is a very gentle person at the start of this book. she gradually grows more badass over time though. but she is incredibly smart, as you probably gathered from the summary. i mean, she's a neurologist. that takes a lot of brains. okay, sorry, that was so lame.

valentina and rick both get rescued by glenn and the others. valentina automatically takes glenn under some maternal wing. she grows to love him as her son which is why 7x01 will be so hard to write for whoever gets this plot 🥹.

speaking of sons, after lori's death, carl doesn't like flock to valentina. he actually gets mad at her after she tries to comfort him. he tells her that he doesn't need a new mom and to leave him alone. obviously it hurts her but she does as he says and leaves him alone. but judith, however, thinks of valentina as her mother from the very first time she holds the baby. valentina is the only mother judith has ever known. so yes, jude calls valentina "mom."

after the prison split up, i would prefer you either have valentina meet up with daryl after he gets separated from beth or have her meet up with michonne somewhere along the way of looking for rick and carl. it's up to you to pick which one you like more. either way i want her to get to terminus with rick. 

because of her maternal love for glenn, valentina does not agree with rick saving negan in 8x16, in fact she gets very angry with him. she even makes him sleep on the couch. please do this part of the story justice. i know it may be difficult to write but please do it justice.

rick and valentina declare themselves as husband and wife sometime in the year and half time jump between seasons eight and nine. they live together as well as judith.

after rick's "death" valentina does find out she's  pregnant, but it's with twins. a boy and girl. the boy is still named rj, rick grimes junior. the girl is named rosalind 'rose' carla grimes after her favorite flower and her deceased adopted son.

valentina does go to the island with virgil in season ten instead of michonne. from there she goes on a desperate search for her husband.
