Amanda's POV

"Rise and shine everyone! Come on, it's 12 in the afternoon people, get up," I heard a joyful voice say.

My first thought was that it was Shyla, but then I heard Andrew wine in pain, and I knew who it was.

"Come on Bailey, five more minutes," whined Shyla.

"Nope, get up or we won't be able to see Wendy's lifeless body," I heard her say.

I sat up and rubbed my eyes. When I looked around, Andrew was up and yawning and Shyla was trying to hide under the covers as Bailey was pulling on them.

"Llama get your butt up now before I drop an elbow on you."

As soon as that was said, Shyla was up and ran out of the room while the rest of us had a good laugh. I looked over at Bailey and thought, 'how is she so happy after what happened last night?'.

"Well guys, get dressed and freshen up. We need to look our best of our long dead friend," Bailey exclaimed.

It took us all about 25 minutes to get ready, Shyla taking the longest.

"So where are we going again?" Andrew asked with a yawn.

"Over to Wendy's house. She was killed in her backyard," Bailey stated.

"How long will that take?" I then asked.

"About 20 minutes or so. It won't take long to get in because she died at her house. Lucky us, right?" Answered Bailey. No one answered, we were too tired.

We walked for about 15 minutes in silence, until I had to ask Bailey something that was bothering me all morning.

"Hey, Bailey?" I asked.

"Yes," she said without looking at me.

"Are you and Dixey ok?"

She stopped in her tracks and turned to face all of us, who were following behind.

"We're fine Shooting Star. We're one person, so if we don't get along it's not like we can hate each other forever. Dixey's just going to take the day off because of the events of last night." She turned back around walked.

We followed her with smiles. I was happy that everything was fine between them. If things weren't,  then who knows what will happen.

We came to the house of Wendy's body. We all looked around and ran to the back. There was a small white gate and fence to close off the backyard, which was easy to open since the lock was on our side. Before we were inside the backyard, the smell of burning flesh was in the air.

Shyla's POV

It was a neat backyard, clean too. There was a navy blue picnic table, a black grill, and a beautiful flower bed that was filled with Daisies, Carnations, and Pansies.

"Do you know what meaning of the flowers are?" asked Bailey who was feeling a row of Carnations.

"Flowers have meanings?" asked Andrew. I was wondering the same thing. In my eyes, the color of the flower ment more than the actual meaning of the flower that I didn't know it had.

"Of course they do, Ice. Everything has a meaning, whether it be a flower or a person's name," Bailey picked off one of the Pansies and held it gently in her hands.

"Why are you telling us this?" Amanda asked. Andrew and I nodded.

"You can tell a lot from a person based on what their house looks like. Going from as small as their well-kept lawn to as big as their paint job on the house. In this case, it's their flowers. Pansies mean loving thoughts, which means that the family loved eachother very much. A Daisy means innocence, meaning that the family is very careful about the law and not to break it. This one really makes sense considering that the father is becoming a cop. The final flower," Bailey stopped. She picked a carnation from the bed and set the Pansy down. Holding the carnation in her hands, she closed her eyes and continued, "Carnations meant gratitude, which meant the family was thankful."

She pulled out her journal and put the flower in it, putting the book back right after. She put a hand out gesturing to the porch, after opening her eyes. It was a bright yellow with three white lawn chairs sitting in a row. The first two were empty, the last one was not.

We finally found out where the smell of cooked skin was coming from, and it wasn't pretty. The body was black from the roasting it had taken, and only the bones were left. Bailey was correct though when her book said that Wendy was killed by her dad's taser, because there it sat, right on the porch next to the decaying body.

Amanda started to walk closer to the body, making the porch shake and causing the bones to diminish where they lay.

"Stop!" I yelled.

"Shooting Star, don't move. Know one move, got it?" ordered Bailey.

We all nodded and Bailey slowly made her way over to the body, not making the body vibrate or a board creak. Once she was there, she pulled something out from a bag that I had brought. She pulled off the cap and started to spray the bones. Once she was, done she let out a sigh and nodded to us for the ok to move.

"What did you do to it?" I asked.

"A simple thing such as hairspray can do wonders for more than it says it can do," she said while putting the cap back on the hairspray and putting it back into the bag.

I took a look inside of the ribcage, behind the torn skin, was the photo. "Um, can someone get the picture from out of her body please?" I asked.

Bailey didn't even hesitate and pulled the picture right out. Bailey put it on the porch for everyone to see, and it was amazing.

Andrews POV

I couldn't believe it. All this time I wondered how Dixey was able to withstand pain, and the answer was right here. There in the picture was Dixey and Wendy, smiling like usual, but they were playing with tasers! Not fake ones, real ones. I looked over at Bailey who was smiling at the photo and wondered.

"Hey, Bailey? Do you know if Dixey has any scares from this?" I pointed at the photo and she laughed.

"Of course Ice, the tasers were real, and Dixey always made sure that Wendy never got hurt. She took a lot of shocks for Wendy when the whole group played," she was saying through her laughs.

I looked at everyone and flipped the picture over. Written on the back of the photo was the word 'give'.

"I've never been more confused in my life," began Amanda, "First it's 'for', then 'my', now 'give'? It doesn't make any sense."

"Hey guys, take a look at this," Shyla said. She had walked away from us and was on the other side of the chair at the head of it. We walked over to her and gasphed.

Written in some of the girl's ashes was the saying,

 'I know what you did'.

"Oh come on! The ash should have blown away by now, how is this possible?" yelled Amanda angrily. I could tell that this was starting to stress her out, and we weren't even halfway done.

"Whoever did it, they glued the ash to the porch," Bailey said calmly.

"I don't understand how someone could kill a child, then sprinkle some of her diminishing bones onto the porch. They probably even went inside the house to get the glue," I shouted.

Shyla took a picture of the saying and took a look at the taser, reaching for it.

"STOP!" screamed Bailey. She grabbed Shylas wrist just seconds before her middle finger touched the weapon.

"Why? We need to take a look at the weapon that was used," Shyla said and gave Bailey the 'what the heck do you think you're doing' look.

"The cops will come back to the crime scene,  and they're going to look for fingerprints. Guess whose prints will be on the weapon? The next thing you know, you're rotting away in jail for a crime that you didn't do," She warned Shyla.

Shyla pulled her hand away from the object and stood up, Bailey following.

"I think it's time for us to get some lunch, what do you think?" Bailey asked.

"Dude, we're looking at someone's burnt flesh, and you want to get something to eat?" exclaimed Shyla.

"To answer your question from last night, Dixey hasn't eaten in quite a while. The human body can only go 21 days without food. So I think it's time to get some food into her system, don't you think?" Bailey told us.

There was nothing else to say, I lead the way out and Bailey held back to make sure we didn't leave anything behind. We all agreed that we should go to Subway and bring our food to the park so we can talk more about what we have and what to do next. It took us 30 minutes to get to Subway, and in no time we were at the park with our food. We all began to eat, and we looked over at Bailey to see something strange.

Bailey's POV

Come on Dixey stop holding back and just eat it!

No! Mother and father are going to have a cow to find out that we spent money on ourselves!

I was trying to at least take one bite out of the sub, but the rest that Dixey had taken had made her stronger.

Seriously Dixey? It's already been paid for and there are no refunds for subs so just let yourself eat.

Never! Just thinking about food makes me want to puke.

I then grabbed the sub with my left hand and my wrist with the other and pushed to our mouth.

"Just......eat it.........Dixey," I said through my struggles.

The three people sitting with us finally decided to help and started to push as well.

Why won't you eat?

Because........I.........well.

"Stop," I told them. They did so, and slowly I loosened my grip on my wrist. "Please, just eat it for me, Dix?"

I felt the force that was trying to get the food away started going to my mouth, and the sub had a bit taken from it.

I had forgotten what this tasted like.

Just enjoy.

"So, are we good?" asked Andrew.

I chuckled, "We're good Ice,"

The rest of the time, we talked about where we're going next. The time was only 2:00, so we all agreed to go to another before going back to our separate homes.

"Pacifica should be next," Shyla suggested without a real reason as to why.

We all agreed and started to talk about whether or not to go tomorrow to the last 2 or not.

"You know what, we've been working hard. Let's take the day off tomorrow. Besides, I half to explain to the prisoners why I haven't been there," I told them. The rest of them agreed and we took care of our things.

Do you feel better?

Much. Thank you for forcing me to eat.

No problem Dix, just keep eating ok? If I have to, I will do this again.

There will be no need for that ever again Bailey. Also, since when did you start calling me by my childhood nickname?

I just missed calling you that.

"To Pacificas' dad's work!" I shouted.
