Bailey's POV

We slowly walked back to the house without speaking. Once we reached the park, we took a rest. Sitting in a circle on the nightly wet grass; we were still silent.

They can never find out, promise that they won't.

I promise Bailey, they will never learn what we know.

"So... should we go back?" After 25 minutes of everyone being lost in their thoughts, Ice broke it.

"Alright, let us go," I responded without looking at them.

We all stood up and started again and walked to mine and Dixie's house. Upon entering the group behind me shivered. Dixie's father never liked to turn on the heat, making the house freezing all year round. We quietly walked up the steps to Dixie and I's bedroom, Shooting Star closing the door behind her as she was the last one.

I put out the two pictures that we had and smiled. This time, happy memories came back. They felt warm and wonderful, and I wanted Dixey to feel this way to.

Dixey's POV

I still had a smile on my face, as I to remembered the happy memories of my past friends, and my present friends notice.

"What do you remember about Fiona, Dixey?" Shyla asked, letting the others know that I had control again.

I sighed, "We had fun together. Sleepovers were the best way of having fun. That's actually what we were doing in here," I picked up the photo and smiled a bit more, showing of my teeth a little.

"What about Amilia?" Amanda stepped closer to me.

"Well," I paused, "she was alright. She had her sense of humor and great stories."

"So they were more fun then us," said Andrew, looking at the floor.

I punched him in the arm and he winsed. "Come on man, I would prefer you guys over them in a heartbeat!"

"Doesn't seem like it," said Amanda, also looking at the floor.

I punched her in the arm as well, in return, her giving me a look and rubbing her arm, "I would rather have a group of amazing friends who wouldn't do anything to hurt me, then for me to be with friends whose family is rich as rich can be that act like they rule the world."

All three of them looked up and smiled at me. I started for my door and the group followed. I couldn't help but chuckle at this, "Guys, just stay here. I'm just going to get us some snacks, ok?" Reluctantly, they stayed behind and sat on the floor.

I went to the kitchen and got my friends some cans of pop and a lot of junk food. I was really surprised to see some food in the kitchen at all though. Ever since I was born, my family had trouble putting food on the table. Normal kids come home and go straight to the fridge to grab a bagel or a yogurt, not me. I always go straight to work after school to put some more food in my mother and father's system.

I was really lucky though, because being only 14 and not even be able to drive yet, I got a job working at a food store. My boss was nice, trying to help my family as much as he was able to. Sadly it wasn't a lot, only able to give me 7 dollars every hour and letting me take home whatever I wanted from the store. I did whatever I could to feed my folks, even though they wanted me to eat and not them. Eventually they would give up trying to feed me and ate their food I got for them that day.

I made my way up to my room and entered just as Amanda was done telling the others something unimportant. I gave them their snacks and joined them on the floor once.

"Where are your snacks, Dixey?" asked Shyla.

"I'm not hungry right now."

"When was the last time you ate?" asked Andrew. I looked at the ground knowing that he would be looking at me eagerly along with the others. They didn't know about the money issues nor did I want them to.

"None of your business," I told him crossing my arms. In reality, I hadn't eaten in more than five days.

You do realize that a person can only go through 21 days without food right?

I still have a ways to go! Plus with you here, I'm sure I get a little more.

I don't think that's how this works.

Sure it is.

"Alright Dixey, tomorrow I think we should go to Rachel's. She was the leader of the group, so I think hers will have a lot of informa-," began Amanda.

"No!" I quickly shouted. Everyone stared at me and I felt just I did in the lunchroom the day before the girls deaths. "I just think that the leader should go last. It only makes sense."

They continued to look at me without saying a word. It looked to me that they were questioning me in their heads along with wanting to end my life.

Just relax, you're going to give yourself a panic attack. Just breath and give them a hint on why they asked you to help them.

I took Bailey's advice and flipped the pictures over. The group stopped looking at me and looked at the photos. Written on the back of Fionas slumber party picture was the word 'for', and written on the back of Amilias bird house photo was the word 'my'.

Amanda's POV

I couldn't believe it. I was speechless, I was dumbfounded, I was...

Shyla's POV

I screamed. I knew that it was just two simple words but something about them just made me get chills up my spine.

Andrew's POV

I had never wanted to find something out this bad in my whole life. Two words that were on the back of the first two dead girls photos! I needed more information, but something in my gut told me it wasn't a good idea.

Dixey's POV

HA, HA, HA! Oh my god Bailey this is the best thing ever! I feel so bad for laughing!

HA, HA! Agreed! But, just look at their faces!

I can't believe we forgot about this! All this time and we forgot this key important item in the case.

Well, I think we can agree never to forget anything like this ever again. Along with the memorise that they hold.

This is something that we don't want to lose for sure.

"What on earth are those words doing on the back of these pictures?" asked Shyla, shaking uncontrollably.

"Well, it seems to me that they're trying to tell us something. Maybe we just need the other pictures to find out what it means," I told them. They looked at me again, but this time, they had smiles.

I smiled back and got out my journal again and open to the next person to die. I turned my journal to them and pointed at the person. "Wendy is our next victim," I said.

"Victim?" asked Amanda, confused.

"Well, I mean like are next person to look at. Don't read into it just look at what I have on her," I said to her.

They listened to me and took a look at my work. Wendy's dad was a cop, as they already knew, but I wasn't surprised to find that she was killed by her dad's new taser. She was found in her backyard with no other information about her.

"Wendy's dad was so upset when we saw him. This would mean a lot to him," said Amanda. Shyla and Andrew nodded their heads in approval.

"Did you guys talk to him when you picked me up from the police station?" I asked them. Maybe they have more information?

"Yeah, he said that he would stop at nothing to become a real cop as soon as he could to help catch whoever did this," Andrew seemed very proud of Mr. Corduroy's determination.

I started to get nervous, I could feel Bailey being to heat up with anger, "Do you think he'll find anything out?"

"Not likely in my opinion. I think he'll break down once he sees his daughter's body," Shyla said honestly.

That made Bailey calm down a bit, knowing that he will not be of any help. The time was 11:22, Amanda and Shyla had fallen asleep, Andrew was starting to doze off but was still awake enough to talk.

"So what do you think the picture will be of?" whispered Andrew, trying not to wake up the other two.

"You'll have to wait and see," I said in a sing song voice.

He gave a grunt and turned over to face me. "Are you positive you're ok, Dixey. I mean, with everything that has been happening and you and Bailey going at it every now and then," He was facing me, but wouldn't look me in the eye.

"I'm alright, Andrew. Bailey and I are fine," I assured him.

Soon after Andrew had fallen asleep and it was just Bailey and I.

You should really get some sleep, Dixey.

But I'm not tired. Besides, I need to ask you something.

Well, spill!

Are you happy?

What kind of question is that?

A simple question Bailey, now are you or not?

Of course I am. I may be a bit short tempered at times, but as long as you're happy and safe I'll be happy as well.

But I don't need to be looked after. I need some space to be unhappy, its part of the human life.

Well not your human life. As far as I'm concerned, as long as I'm around, you're never going to feel anymore pain.

I hope we don't forget about each other.

Why would I forget about the most important thing in the world to me?

Same here sister. Same here.

Andrew's POV

I jumped awake at around three in the morning. I looked over at Amanda and Shyla to see that they were awake as well. Once I look over at Dixey though, it's a whole different story. She was turning back and forth in her spot on the floor, mumbling to herself in another language that I wasn't familiar with. Dixey suddenly grabbed the floor with her arms by her sides, her fingers digging into the purple carpet. She opened her eyes for us to see them glow blue on the right eye and red on the left. It wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't for her eyes being the whole color without a speck of white or black in them.

"Dimittes eam miseriae poena universitas antequam introeas!" Dixey shouted more clearly this time. She continued, "Stare facere in conspectu eius et disrumpam!"

We tried are best to stop her and help her but every time any of us went to touch her we were somehow shocked. Then Dixey's eye immediately went from glowing blue and red to their normal bright red color. Well, normal as far as seeing white and black again. Following shortly after, she ran out of the room and into the bathroom. We ran after her and knocked on the door.

"Bailey? You alright?" Amanda asked in a calm worried voice.

"Not now ok? I'll explain in a bit."

We all went to the bedroom again to not anger Bailey, or Dixey for that matter, and sat for about 5 minutes until either Bailey or Dixey came into the room. It didn't help that her eyes were closed when she came in. The girl sat on the bed indian style and put her hands in her lap.

"Ask your questions," she said. Her voice was cracking like she had just finished crying.

"Well for starters, who are you?" asked Shyla rudely.

"Now you're going to talk to me short stacks. It was Dixey, but you're acting pretty rude," Bailey said. Her eyes were open and red with griff. I looked at her confused at first, but looked away before she saw. I thought of a question and built up the courage to ask it.

"What were either you or Dixey saying in your sleep? And what language it was? I'm not really sure what that was," I asked.

"Latin Ice, and it depends on what your heard," she partly answered.

"We caught the last two I lines think," Amanda spoke.

Bailey nodded and looked at the ceiling without moving her head, "The first was, 'Dimittes eam miseriae poena universitas antequam introeas', meaning, let her go before you enter a world of misery and pain. The last one being," She paused and looked at the floor. After a bit, she closed her eyes and continued, "'Stare facere in conspectu eius et disrumpam', meaning, stop hurting her before I snap."

A small tear drop came from her eye and fell onto the blanket. Once her eyes opened again, they were blue and bloodshot.

"I'm so sorry, Bailey," Dixey said. She curled into a ball and went under her blankets.

Shyla went to take the covers off but got shocked again just like how we did when we tried to wake her up. We decided to give her some space and went back to sleep.

Dixey's Mind

"It wasn't your fault Dixey don't stress over it," Bailey had said.

They were sitting on the couch with Bailey on the far right side of it, and Dixey leaning against her crying.

"I j-just feel l-like I could h-have done some-thing," Dixey said between hiccups.

"Listen to me Dixey, you did all you could. now we just need to move on and live with it. I'm still here and I will never leave your side for as long as I exist."

"But I-."

"Now not another word, Dixey. Just close your eyes and get some rest. I'll lead the group to Wendy's corpse and you can have the whole day to rest and relax. Now don't say anything because it's final."

Dixey said nothing more, and slowly her breaths started to even out to show that she had finally fallen asleep.

"Don't worry Dixey, they're gone. They'll never hurt us ever again."
