Shyla's POV

We all sat in a circle in the park, Bailey having her journal out again, and the rest of us sitting in silence. I was still thinking of what that saying meant by, I know what you did. What did Fiona do? Why did the murderer do something as gruesome as cutting Fiona's fingers and toes off? My thoughts were interrupted by Bailey's voice.

"Are we all ready to go to another house yet?" She asked us.

We were all too shocked to speak. We had just screamed out our voice boxes from one house, and now she wants us to see another?

"Hello? Anyone there?" she asked us, grinning.

"Sorry Bailey, but it's getting late. We should probably head home, being that it's a school night," I responded.

"Wait, what time is it?" Bailey asked. She stood up and looked panicked.

"7:34, why?" answered Andrew, checking his watch.

"Crap! Dixey, you're the faster runner, so take over and run!" shouted Bailey, not caring if we heard or not.

She began to run away but didn't get far. Once again, Amanda tackled Dixey to the ground, her bright blue eyes filled with fear.

"Dixey?" I said with confusion.

"Who else has blue eyes, Shyla. Amanda let me go!" Bailey screamed at Amanda.

Dixey pushed Amanda off of her and started to run again. Luckily I was in her way, and she ran right into me, taking us both down. Before she could get back up to run again, both Andrew and I took her shoulders to the ground while Amanda pinned her legs down. She struggled to get free but had no avail.

"Dixey, why are you running this time?" Asked Andrew.

"Bailey left a note at our house saying that we would be home by 7. I'm already grounded, I don't need to be double grounded," Dixey's eyes were going from blue to red and vice versa.

"Dixey, calm down," I told her.

"Let me go!" She yelled back.

"Stop struggling!" I ordered.

"Let her go, Fiona!" Dixey's eyes were red when she said this.

We all looked at her, now with even more questions.

"What did you say?" I asked in more of a whisper to her.

Bailey's POV

Why the heck did you just say that?!

That memory came back, I couldn't help it!

You wha-....Apologize to herl, this instance!

But I-.

Don't 'but' me, Bailey! Apologize NOW!

"I apologize for my actions. A hurtful memory came back and I-. Just know that it was a bad memory and that I'm sorry for yelling at you," I said.

"We forgive you but, was the memory of Fiona?" Amanda said, with a look of comfort in her eyes.

"Yes, but that's all I'm going to say," I said. I didn't want to look them in the eye at that point. The memory came back, and it was overbearing.

My instinct to protected Dixey take control and I yelled what I had yelled at Fiona on that day. She didn't let her go, though. Laughter, that's all I could remember, Fiona and her friends laughing at us. I shook my head and let Dixey take control again.

She can't hurt us anymore Bailey, we watched her life drain.

Amanda's POV

We all couldn't move. I wasn't even sure if I knew who Dixey was anymore. Then I saw her eyes, red and full of hate.

"Oh, thank god! You're the one who said that Bailey, not Dixey," I said while chuckling.

"Bailey's not here. Now please, leave us alone," Dixey said, her eyes changing back to blue.

Before anyone could say anything else, Dixey's phone started to ring.

Everyone fell silent, not even daring to make a sound in fear that the person on the phone would hear. Dixey slowly reached for her phone, looking up with her eyes closed. Her lip started to quiver with fear, as she answered her phone.

"Hi, mom," Dixey's eyes were open now, and the same fear that I saw in her lips was now in her words.

Andrew's POV

We were in 4th hour at the time. The empty desk where Dixey sat felt even more empty. After yesterday's events, she may not come back.

Flashback

"Hi, mom."

There was a moment of silence when there was suddenly a scream that came from the phone, "SO WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU!?!?!"

Dixey had the phone away from her ear and slowly brought the phone back up, "I'm at the park with my friend's, mother. I apologize for my actions and will be home within 15 minutes."

There was another break, and Dixey hung up. She turned away from us, and walk to her house.

"Dixey?" Shyla called after her.

Dixey didn't say anything and walk farther away from us.

Flashback over

The bell rang for 4th period to be over. Amanda, Shyla, and I met up at the same corner Dixey and I usually meet up at.

"So....what now?" asked Shyla in a whisper.

We were right by the teachers, they had decided to meet up by the lockers near where we were at.

"After school, we go see Dixey. We need to see if she can take us to another...," Amanda began. She looked over her shoulder to the teachers, then back at us, "crime scene."

"You want to go to another?!" I replied more loudly. The girls reacted quickly and covered my mouth.

"Shhhh," They said in unison.

I pulled their hands away and turned to the teachers who were looking at us suspiciously.

"Everythings fine," I told them. They nodded and turned back to each other to continue their conversation.

"Yes Andrew, go to another. We still have 6 more to go, 1 scene isn't going to do it," Amanda said at last.

"I'm in no matter what, it's up to you Andrew," Shyla said.

I nodded reluctantly and we all went our separate ways to go to 5th hour. Why am I friends with them again? They're so insane that I worry for them. Then again, I'm still going through with everything we're about to do.

I had Language Arts next, and it was still as boring as it usually was, but we were able to write whatever we wanted to today. I decided to write about band class, my favorite subject. In our band, we all love to name our instruments. My instrument was a contra clarinet and I named him Figaro. I wrote all of this in my class journal.

Our whole friend group is in the band. Amanda playing Steve the saxophone, Shyla playing percussion and not naming any of them, and Dixey playing Coraline her trombone. We were all the biggest band geeks anyone could ever see.

With us being in the band, that just put us even lower on the popularity chain. But we didn't care. This just meant that we were able to be even nerdier and be the true geeks we are and that we were proud to be.

Once 5th hour ended, 6th hour went by in a flash. Then it was time to go see our friend.

Dixey's POV

I sat on the bed looking up at the ceiling. I thankfully wasn't punished for staying out too late, just scolded. I had lied to my parents that my friends and I were watching a horror movie and I lost track of time once we left.

The walls were so thin here that I could hear the knock at the door and my father answering it.

"Please, come in," My father told the person at the door.

"She's upstairs guys, just knock before you for in," I heard my mother's voice.

Footsteps were coming up the stairs and a knock at my door.

"Make your presence known," I told the people at my door.

"How about you tell us," stated a female voice.

"Come on in guys," I chuckled to my group of friends as I sat up on my bed.

They came into my room and closed the door, locking it behind them. They all sat on the floor and I joined them.

Amanda started off the conversation, "So what scene are we going to next?"

"Wait, you want to go to another?" I was shocked.  They ran away terrified from the last one, and that was the less gruesome one.

"Yes, we do. Just one isn't going to solve any of our questions," Andrew had said.

Why not Amilias? That one wasn't that bad.

Sure, why not.

"Alright then, the next one we go to is Amilia. She was killed at her Uncle's workshop, so it might take a while to get there. Thankfully, though, it's Friday," I said to my friends.

"We should ask our parents to see if we could spend the night at your house tonight, Dixey," Shyla suggested.

We all agreed and went off to tell our parents: everyone could stay. I went to grab my journal before we left and Andrew bet me to it.

"No, just be without this book for the night. It should do you some good," He told me.

I looked him straight in the eye and growled. Bailey was the one to growl, though, and I didn't care. Andrew put the book in my hands and went over to hide behind Amanda. I laughed and so did Bailey.

"Rule number one my dear friends. It's not me who needs the book, it's Bailey. So if you take the book, you get attacked by her, got it?" I warned my friends looking at Andrew the whole time.

They all nodded and started for the door with me following behind them. We passed through the living room where my parents were watching a movie and they looked up.

"Where are you girls and boy going?" My mother asked.

"Just going to see another movie mother, so we probably won't be home until late. If we're not back home in the morning, then you should panic," I answered.

"Alright then, have fun," My father responded.

We walked down to Amilia's Uncle's workshop and stopped just outside to the law.

"That took us an hour, Dixey, you better be right about this. Anyways, why did we stop?" Asked Andrew after his complaints.

"Because it's time for Amanda to do what she said she could do," I said smiling at Amanda. Then I let my eyes go red.

Bailey's POV

"Ok Shooting Star, start hacking," I said with glee.

I produced a laptop for her from one of the black bags that Llama had brought and sat down at the edge of the lawn. The rest of the group sat as well and Shooting Star got to work without hesitation.

"So Bailey, how come you and Dixey didn't run out of Fiona's house when the rest of us did?" asked Llama.

"We don't want to answer, but just know that we had to do something before we left her," I answered her.

"Well, in that case, at least answer this question," began Ice, " What is it with you and that journal?"

The memories started to come back again and I just sat and stared at the ground. I could see Ice and Llama trying to snap me back into reality, but I didn't hear them. The memory began to play out, with every detail still there.

Bailey stop, you're going to hurt yourself again! Please listen to me and stop!

"Dixey, I'm so sorry. They're doing this to you..." I began to say what I was saying in the memory unconsciously.

Bailey, listen to my voice and only my voice. There is no one to hurt me anymore and no one to hurt you anymore. Just breathe, and listen to our friends.

Dixey?

I'm right here Bailey, and it's time to take our friends into the workshop. Can you do that?

Yes.

"Guys, I think I killed her. I just had to know the answer to that question, I just had to," Ice was yelling at himself.

"I think I'm pretty far from death, Ice. Have you finished disarming the camera's Shooting Star?" I asked the tall brunet.

They all started to pile on top of me and hugged me. I just sat there and took it, not leaning in or pushing them away. Once they had their moment, I lead them to the back door which was locked.

"Alright Ice, your up," I told Ice.

Without questioning it this time, he began his work. Once done, I opened the door.

Shyla's POV

The room smelled like wood and rotten flesh. But that wasn't the worst part. There was blood everywhere. The walls, the floor, the tools, and the body.

There laid the body of Amilia, or what was left of her. Her head, stomach, arms, and legs were broken and opened. The head got the worst of it, with Amilias smart brain splattered all over the floor and wall.

I took a look around, not daring to move my feet, and saw the weapon. Sitting on a table full of tools was a hammer coated in blood. I look to the wall above the body and was in shock. Once again written in Amilias blood wrote,

I know what you did

Chills ran down my body and I saw Amanda move her head down and pick something up.

"What is it, Amanda?" I asked her.

"A picture of Dixey and Amilia. It looks like they're building something," she said looking at the photo.

"A birdhouse," I heard Bailey say.

We all turned to her, she was looking over Amanda's shoulder at the picture with a smile. Amanda gave the photo to Bailey who put it in the bag. I took a picture of the body and the message, and we all walked out without another word.
