SEHUN;

The cobbled-stone path I'm on is uneven and marred with years of neglect. A thick mist is shrouding my vision, giving an otherworldly appearance to the dark surroundings.

It feels as if time has come to a standstill in this place, as if nothing ever changes. Every building seems to be half-destroyed, their windows long abandoned to darkness, and doors rusted, unable to close- why is my mother associated with such an area?

Tall grey walls loom on either side, casting a sense of foreboding. The walls inside the alleyway seem to have a life of their own, built in strange shapes and angles, with ivy and weeds creeping in and out of them.

The air around me is stagnant, yet it beholds the might to send shivers down my spine. The lack of any movement in the air is only serving to amplify the ominous sense of impending doom which hangs like a nimbus cloud over me. . .I think it is going to snow soon.

The only proof that there is life in this place is the occasional footsteps echoing like background noises at a distance...

Marilyn D'Abernon
Lake D'Abernon
12 Street, lane 34,
House- 23
Beoj-Gkoch Avenue.

"Minnie, the address is the same," I scrutinise the name plate again, when it comes to my weakness, I can't really afford to be lousy.

"That is great news, isn't it?" Minhyuk walks beside me, putting an arm around my shoulder- right now that is all I could ask for.

"But, I am afraid, Minnie. Who are the owners? Why would my mom write letters to someone she was not supposed to know? D'Abernon? They are not from Korea, right?" I am afraid. Yes, I am really afraid. I also feel like throwing up, but I have to withstand it, for the sake of the ultimate truth...

"Eve, I asked you to be calm," Minnie holds steadfast, "Ring the bell. I know you can do it. I believe in you," his left arm is cloaked around my back, ending at the shoulder and gripping it firmly, his other arm too, dabbing gently on the shoulder of mine, closest to it.

I blink blankly, chewing on my lips, and gulp my trepidation- I press the bell, which echoes long after I had withdrawn my finger.

A shuffling sound comes from within, I can hear the distinct sounds of a latch being unlocked. Through the small window on the door, I catch a split glimpse of a chandelier- given the circumstances, nonetheless, I can not bear to wonder how the interior looks now, I really cannot care less.

The door creaks open, revealing an old woman hunched over with age. Her face is etched with deep wrinkles, and she owns a stern expression, studying me.

"Who are you?" Her voice is scratchy.

I was not taken aback, not even momentarily, I think Minnie does have some influence on me after all, "Sehun. Yang Sehun. Can you recognise me? I don't know who you are, though?"

The old woman's eyes squint, scrutinising me for a moment before finally nodding her head slightly, "I don't exactly know you. But I think I am getting a hint. Please, both of you, come inside," she gestures for me to enter the hallway.

I follow. The entire building seems like a time capsule from another era. The walls are lined with dark wood panelling and old paintings, and the floors creaks with every step I took. The air was musty and stale, infused with a scent I can not quite identify. "I don't have time to sit, I am sorry. Do you maybe know these owner of the letters? Did someone give these to you?"

"I don't. But let me tell you, we have bought this house from another owner, and I think the letters belong to her. I have enough reason to think that," her voice trails off at the end, demolishing with age.

"How many years ago?" I can not retain my firmitude any longer...I am sorry Minnie.

"3 years."

"From whom?"

"Lee Hyojoo."

-

He looked up at the weathered door- Sehun knew what he had to do, but it did not make things any easier. He took a deep breath and banged on the door with all the vigour he possessed and could muster.

"Ma'am!! Open the door! I have to talk to you!!" he continued to pound on the door. "Ma'am please!! What else are you concealing from me, huh??"

"Ma'am?? There is no use hiding things anymore!! I need the truth!! Tell me the truth, please," Sehun's anxiety spiked. He started to pace back and forth, muttering absurdities under his breath.

"Eve, Eve calm down."

Sehun spared his refined efforts to catch breathe, "Minnie...can you please give me a cigarette? I need to soothe my nerves," he mouthed, shuffling with the pebbles scattered.

"Sure," Minhyuk handed one. "And here's a lighter too."

Sehun lit up, the smoke filling his lungs, calming his nerves to somewhat urgency. But the sense of urgency still dwelled within.

As soon as Sehun had taken his first drag, the door creaked open. Sehun's heart stopped as he saw his Captain standing got the door.

"Captain. . ." Sehun whispered, hush-hush, his cigarette dropping from his fingers- nothing made sense.

"Sehun?"

Sehun's stomach turned, his throat closing up. He knew he had to ask the question that had been eating at him, but he couldn't get the words out through his throat.

"Ahh, what a pleasant surprise, isn't it, guys?" Minhyuk lifted his hand awkwardly in a small wave.

"Captain," The youngest found himself too lost in the chaos of every other, "How are you?"

"Sehun...I miss you."

"Ayy, ayy, so are the love birds reunited now?" Eyes gradually welling with tears, assuming his heart to be nothing better than a sculpture, he announced.

"Nothing like that!" Wooshik was too fast to adapt to an act of bringing defense, "Stop your nonsense."

"Wooshik, you know that Sehun is irresistible. So if you are not going to make any advances, I will," Minhyuk tipped his head, a provocative smirk highlighting Minhyuk's handsome features, "Look at us," he gazed affectionately, through the tears now starting to completely smog his vision...at Sehun.

Minhyuk was inches away from making the ultimate advance- he drew closer, the bluehead's fanning smothering on Sehun's face, warm and inviting. His hands seized Sehun's diffident, effortlessly fitting waist. Sehun's mind was screaming at him to pull away, to run, but his body remained rooted to the spot, purposeless.

Minhyuk's lips demanded for only one more instant to be on Sehun's- Wooshik, who had been standing at the threshold all while, guarding the door sill, swept the youngest away from Minhyuk's arms, taking Sehun in his own.

"Captain..." Sehun squirmed softly.

In the quiet of the night, both of them were crushed beneath the weight of their unspoken love- Sehun felt the cold glass against his scorching back.

Wooshik took Sehun by his hand, and drew him into the warmth of the elder's own skin, the mere touch of his Captain's palm was more than enough to send electric shocks through Sehun's body, threatening to overwhelm him with emotions.

Time stood still- what was lesser than something sort of a pause, Wooshik leaned in and claimed Sehun's chapped lips in a kiss, tender and yet intense, softer than anything gentle Sehun had come across.

The brown head's eyes swelled in wide shock, they conceived his Captain's eyes were closed- Sehun closed his eyes too, and yielded into the moment, his arms

Sehun felt as though he had finally found his place in the world, in the arms of the man he loved.

The kiss grew deeper, an intimacy between growing up too, as they let go of all of their fears, and allowed their hearts to guide them.

Sehun could feel the gentleness of Wooshik's touch, his fingers tracing lines on the younger's nape as they embraced, hearts beating against each other in the similar pitch- each moment more precious than the last. . .

Love had found its way, cutting through all of the noise and confusion to find its way to their hearts- love always does.

"Sehun," the moment that was enriched with wonders, and passion, the time vowed to be witness of Sehun and Wooshik's story, "Never leave me again. . .please."
