*continued from 'The Previous Day'*

Steve's POV:

Bruce then says one word I never hoped to hear again....

"HYDRA"

Everyone in the room turns to me. I just stare at my reflection on the table not looking up. Did he really just say HYDRA? "I need some air." I choke out. I walk out without saying another word, and no one stops me.

Natasha's POV:

I can't believe what I just heard. HYDRA? I thought Steve defeated them back in the 40's. "Are you sure it's definitely HYDRA?" I ask.

"Positive, look." Reed says. He shows me something, it looks like an evil octopus.

"It came with the message." Bruce says.

"Okay, but whats the message?" Clint asks.

"Well it's-" Tony's about to tell us what the message is but gets cut off when Steve walks in and the room goes quiet.

Steve's POV:

Nobody says anything as I walk out of the room. I need to clear my head. I'm on my way out when I stop and see the corridor leading to the gym. Instead of going outside like I said I would, I head for the gym.

I change into a white t-shirt and tan pants. I make my way over to the punching bag and start punching it with all my force and all my anger. As I punch the bag more, memories of the war and HYDRA flood my mind causing me to beat the hell out of the punching bag more than I already am. Eventually I end up punching the bag off it's chain as it goes flying across the gym with sand pouring out from various places.

I decided I shoud be with everyone else dealing with the issue at hand rather than feeling sorry for myself. I'm about to join the others when the news catches my eyes. The reporter was outside a hospital explaining that earlier on some armed people had gone in and kiddnapped some children from their ward. Nobody knows why and no one has come forward either.

I hope they're ok and if there's anything I can do, I will help when I can.

Tony's POV:

I'm about to tell everyone what HYDRA's secret message is when I'm very rudely interrupted by a very sweaty looking Capsicle aka Steve stood at the door. "I thought you went out to get some air, not run around the hellicarrier 50 times." I sarcastically remark, it's evident in my voice that I'm pissed off for being interupted.

"Actually, I decided I was going to go to the gym instead." He shoots back. "Carry on" he motions towards me.

"As I was saying, the message is this... J.A.R.V.I.S put it on the screen will you." I tell J.A.R.V.I.S.

"Right away sir." J.A.R.V.I.S replies.

Within seconds everyone is staring at the screen, their mouthes agape as the message read:

Hand over the Captain by 8pm or they pay the price.

'They' being vulnerable children from a hospital wing each with fearful bloodshot eyes from all the crying with a gun at their heads at point blank range. At the bottom there's some coordinates . I get J.A.R.V.I.S to find the location quickly.

"Sir, they're at an abandoned warehouse, 10 miles South of the Hospital." J.A.R.V.I.S informs us.

"I have to go and give myself up." Steve announces.

"No!" Everyone shouts in unison, even the Fantastic Four.

"It's because of me they're there, I can't just let them die!" Steve says raising his voice slightly.

"We can save the children and defeat HYDRA" Susan exclaims.

Everyone nods their head in agreement.

"Well how are we going to do that?" Ben asks.

"By working together as a TEAM." Reed says.

"We have 1 and 1/2 hours to rescue those Midgardian children and kick some HYDRA... 'butt' is term I believe you Midgardians use." Thor happily expresses. Everyone chuckles lightly at his statement.

"Avengers and the Fanastic Four suit up. Meet at the Quinn Jet in 10mins." Steve orders.

We are going to be in for one hell of a fight.
