Everything paused for a moment and I just stared at him. "Huh?" That's all I could get myself to say. I was surprised. I mean, who isn't surprised when a friend says they love you. I mean, not as a friend, but as more.

"Never mind." He said and looked at the door and ran out. For some reason, I didn't want him to leave yet. Like, I have to confirm what he said. Is what I heard true? Does he really love me? Before thinking, I grabbed his arm. He stared at me waiting for me to say something.

"Wait," is all I could say. He still stared at me, "please, don't leave yet." I finished. He pulled his arm out of my grasp and turned around to fully face me. "I don't want to lose you and Yuu on the same day."

"Don't compare me to that scum!" He snapped at me. "What did you ever see in that guy anyways!?"

"I'm sorry.." I said. "I didn't mean to compare you."

"I have to go Kazuki. It's fine. I won't let this affect our friendship. I just need time to think." He said and left. I felt like I couldn't follow him. I couldn't move. I fell onto my knees and tears started coming out of my eyes. I didn't want him to leave. Why is that. Come back. Come back. I don't know why I didn't want him to leave. But I didn't.

I sighed and then mom called for me, "Kazuki! Come down for dinner!" I wiped my face and went downstairs. When I sat down, I just stared and messed with my food. "What's wrong?" Mom asked.

Nothing." I replied. Maybe I'll go to his house after dinner. I guess I should eat then because I will never finish dinner if I just stare at it and play with my food. I ate my food and said, "I'm going to Masaki's house mom." I want to see him. I don't know why, but I want to see him. I put my plate in a sink and went over to his house. When I knocked on the door, his mother answered.

"He's upstairs. You can go up if you want." She said and opened the door. I nodded and went up the stairs.

When I walked into his room he said, "What is it Kazuki?" He sat up on his bed.

"I wanted to see you." I replied.

"Is that so?" He said. "You know, you make it so hard for me." He got up from the bed and came over to me. "Really hard." He pinned one of my arms to the wall. I was shocked. What's happening? I don't understand. "I really love you, you know." He said and leaned in to kiss me. What's happening? And why is my heart beating so fast now? I don't understand at all.
