On the next day, my mother called me down so we could meet the neighbors. It was a Sunday so I slept until like noon anyway. I always hate getting new neighbors because I have no idea what they will be like. They could be like neighbors on the Investigation Discovery channel, Nightmare Next door. I get paranoid with stuff like that because I never liked the thought of death or people killing each other or horror in general. Mom, Sammy, and I all went next door and mom handed me the basket to give to them. Mom knocked on the door, Sammy was hiding behind mom's leg as someone opened the door. It was a boy who looked about my age that opened the door. "Mom! The neighbors are here!" He yelled and his mom came out from what seemed like probably a kitchen and greeted us.

"Hello, you must be the neighbors. You can come in if you want, sorry there is stuff everywhere." She said in a kind voice. Mom let me go first so I could hand the basket to her so I did. She thanked me, and we all sat at the table to talk. "It's just me and Masaki here, so it's pretty quiet around here. It's nice of you to stop by."

Masaki grabbed a piece of paper and a pen and wrote on it saying 'it looks like they're going to be busy talking for a while, want to go hang out somewhere else?' And she showed it to me, and I nodded, so we left the table and went up to his room. When we got to his room, it didn't have much in it other than a bed. Pretty much everything else is still downstairs. "Sorry, I just needed to get out of there, when mom starts talking, she doesn't like to stop." He said with a slight chuckle. I also laughed a little bit.

"Poor Sammy, she's still down there." I said smiling, "oh well I guess, she'll just have to deal with it."

"I really didn't want to move." He said, "I mean, what if the people next door was going to try to murder us? I'm glad to find out you guys are nice."

"That was my thoughts too!" I said and we both laughed, "you know, like the show nightmare next door."

"I think we're going to get along nicely." He said, I then got a text on my phone. It was Yuu.

'Whatchu doing?' is what it said. Masaki looked over and asked what it was.

I replied, 'I got new neighbors so I'm visiting them.' After replying that I looked up and said "It's Yuu."

"Yuu, huh? Your boyfriend right?" He asked, I'm surprised he figured it out. I nodded and he too the phone away and said "It's not polite to text people while you are talking to someone you know." I tried to get my phone back, but wherever I would reach, he would have it just a little bit farther away. This happened until we were wrestling on the ground.

Mom called me down, so he finally handed me back my phone and we both went down the stairs. "It was nice meeting you guys." Mom said as we walked down the stairs, and they hugged goodbye. My, they got close in that short while.

"It was nice meeting you too." Masaki's mom said.

"See you tomorrow Kazuki," Masaki said, "I'm transferring to your school." He smiled.

"Yea, I'll see you tomorrow." I said and we all left the house and went back home. That was quite interesting actually, though it's also rude to take someone's phone without asking while they are texting someone. Only 727 days until Yuu finally returns. I really miss him, and I need him here by my side.
