Midari laid her head down on the counter as she sighed, bored out of her mind. It was a slow day at the café. Midari groaned loudly as she dug her nails into the counter and scratched at it. I can't take this!!! Midari screamed in her head. I need to get out of here!!! She looked over at the clock desperately yet unfortunately she still had a few hours left of work. It made her want to scream! The bell by the door let out a small, sweet ring indicating that it had been opened. Midari looked over, her muscles frozen otherwise. There, walking towards her at the counter was the most beautiful girl Midari had seen. Thump, thump, thump, her heart began to beat quickly. Midari stood up straight, staring at the girl for what was an uncomfortable period of time.

"Excuse me." The girl said with a soft smile. "I would like two blueberry muffins please." Midari didn't respond. She was captivated by the girl's beauty. Her light hair complimented her pale skin and blue eyes tremendously well. She wore blue lipstick to match her eyes which only added to her beauty. The girl cleared her throat. "Excuse me, did you hear me?"

"What did you need?" Midari asked, returning from her daze.

"Two blueberry muffins.

"R-Right!" Midari said, giving a salute. "I'm on it!" The girl laughed softly. Midari blushed hard as she grabbed two muffins and bagged them then handed them to the girl. "Here you go!"

"Thank you." The girl took the bag from Midari. She looked Midari straight in the eyes and said with a coy smile. "Might you be free after work?" The girl laid her elbows on the counter then laid her head in her hands, not breaking eye contact with Midari.

"I-I should be." Midari said.

"Good. I'd like to hang out with you afterwards." The girl reached forward and lightly caressed Midari's cheek. "I think you're cute and," the girl moved closer to Midari's face, "you have such beautiful eyes." Midari's face flushed red with an intense blush to which the girl laughed softly at. "I'm Kirari Momobami. And you?"

"M-Midari Ikishima!" Midari replied quickly.

"Midari." Kirari said then licked her lips. "I like it. I like the way it rolls off my tongue. You have a beautiful name."

"Thank you!"

"When do you get off of work?"

Midari looked at the clock then answered, "at 12:30, in a few hours."

"Then I shall be back then, Midari Ikishima." Kirari said. "Farewell, my dear." She turned and left with a delicate wave.

"Bye." Midari replied as she watched her leave.

Once Kirari was gone, Midari fell to the floor and let out a large breath. She covered her face and blushed profusely. She could barely believe that just happened. Still, Kirari would be back and that excited Midari! She couldn't wait to see her again! She already knew she was infatuated and Kirari was all she needed.
