gabriella is a pretty sunny girl. even when life has done its best to deal her a shitty hand, she keeps her chin up and her hopes high. yes, the girl most definitely classified as an optimist. she's the type of person to believe that kindness is the only way to go, and negativity is just a bother. seriously, what good does negativity do? so yes, gabriella widely distances herself from pessimism. she just prefers to stay positive and keep on swimming. gaby has a lovely sense of humor. she's one of those people who if you ask her to keep a straight face, she won't be able to. she'll burst out laughing and have an adorable grin on her face. it's just her disposition, don't blame her. why would being cheery ever be a bad thing? also, gaby is one of the most maternal and caring young ladies you'll ever meet. she's definitely the mom friend™️ with basically anyone. she's not a hard friend to win over. basically she thinks highly of you and will be as friendly as possible to you unless you give her reason otherwise. she's just someone who will always help out in the little ways she can. and lord knows she's a hugger. she just has that instinct in her where she needs to help and comfort. she's got a big heart that she can't always control.

ah, the backstory of precious gabriella gabelle. it's a simple and slightly cliche one. gabriella was born to daisy gabelle on the thirteenth of july one hot summer. daisy was a slightly irresponsible and unwed woman who planned to raise her child on her own. the father never objected since he had skipped town a few months earlier. yes, your ears may hear a sob story, but it is not such. the two ladies (one woman and a smiley and giggly baby) were quite content with one another. daisy worked her ass off to support her child with the help of her loyal sister, rose (their parents had a thing for floral names). so gabriella was raised by her mother and aunt, two of the brightest and most dedicated women in town. it was actually a rather happy childhood. they didn't have everything, but the three women had each other. gabriella grew up happy and smiling, her mother and aunt made sure of it. once she was grown, she started working to contribute to the household. gaby didn't even think about leaving the two women who had worked so hard to make her life so comfortable for so long. gaby picked up waitressing and housekeeping jobs here and there, taking everything she could get. living was apparently very expensive she soon found out. but she was still happy. the two women in gaby's life made sure even when she was working her hardest, that gaby went out and enjoyed her youth with friends. they didn't want her to get tied down to a life of working alone. and then, gabriella caught wind that the palace was hiring. the palace! they paid at least triple the amount of any housekeeping job she had ever had, and free room and board. it was a pretty sweet deal. gaby applied secretly without telling her mother or her aunt rose. and then the letter came. she was hired, and she had a week to report to the castle to start training before the selection. holy crap! she didn't think she'd actually get the job since it was so elite, but she did! when her aunt and mother found out, they didn't know what to think. it was an amazing opportunity, but it seemed like she would be isolated and working rather hard. but ultimately, it was gaby's decision and she wanted to do what was best for her family. so she went. she kissed her mother and aunt goodbye, promising to write letters and one day obviously return, and then she was off on the adventure of a lifetime.
