Being a faceless streamer is easy; you didn't have to worry about looking good when streaming. You could be lying down or wearing the most hideous shirt and they wouldn't see you. You've gained plenty of followers and subscribers that have been questioning what you looked like. Some have theorized that you're literally a peach with vocal cords and that was the running joke in your community.

Being a faceless streamer and dating Quackity, however, was proven to be difficult.

You met through the same friends in a Discord voice chat and the rest was history.

Alex has a bigger amount of viewers than you, you all know that. He has been streaming with his face shown for many years and they literally watched him grow.

He blew up with you, posting almost the same content on Youtube and collaborating on Twitch every so often. You know that they're still your fans because they love you but part of you also know that they only stayed because they're waiting for Alex's hair reveal and your face reveal.

"fuck quackity's hair reveal, we want y/n's hand reveal," most tweets would joke about it.

Even though you literally said you would do a face reveal at 1 million subs and you already reached it, you still wouldn't actually do it. The pressure and anxiety are just so annoying and you don't want to feel it while doing the thing you love. You would say "soon" as Alex would also say — but he will actually do it unlike you would.

It always made you feel guilty when you received so many gifted subs from your viewers, especially Liz, and you have nothing else to give back except saying thank you multiple times.

After talking about the situation with the love of your life, though, his advice gave you enough motivation to continue, and like he said, "Just don't care about the haters. If you don't want to do a face reveal, don't. They won't stop watching you just because of that. They would still stay because they love you, you know? That's why I'm also here for you."

Holy shit does Alex have a way with his words. That settles it, you guessed. Fuck it, you shrugged. You're never gonna do a face reveal. People are never gonna find out what's on the other side of the screen and what most of their favorite comfort streamer looks like. Plus, you are the #1 famous faceless female Youtuber and Twitch streamer so you don't wanna give that honor to someone else so soon. (a/n: literally try and search that. no one pops up lol)

Though deciding that you'll never do a face reveal, you wanted to be more generous and provided your audience a photo of your hand instead. Posting it on Twitter, you got 'HAND' trending. Not surprising.

Ever since that, everything went back to semi-normal. Semi-normal, meaning that some people are still curious about what you looked like. You see the tweets whenever you search for your name because you're bored. Worry didn't seep into your mind as you just scrolled past it.

You were on a late-night call with both Alex and Karl. It was decided that you and Karl are going to LA, specifically to Alex's apartment. With all of you finally vaccinated, the plans should be at a go.

"I can't wait to see you," Alex expressed, his voice sounding tired.

You let out a chuckle. "Me too."

"And I'm just here," Karl chimed in, earning a snicker from the two of you. Before silence could occupy the space again, he spoke, "We have to stream once we're there. We could write another song, or do a nail-painting stream-"

"That's nice, Karl. If only I could show my face...?"

"Oh..." The older man trailed off. "Right. Aren't you gonna do a face reveal?"

"When did I say that? No?" You laughed a bit, with Alex following behind.

"We'll just find a way to hide your face then. You could still be there. You have to. You can't go there and not  do a stream with us."

Your eyes jokingly widened in surprise at Karl's demand. "Okay, relax."

"Okay, so Y/n should arrive an hour after you, right, Karl?"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah."

"Alright, sick. Sick."

Eventually, the three of you exited out of the VC, yet Alex invited you over for a nightly Facetime sesh because he wanted you to stay with him until he completely fell asleep. He lets you do whatever you want at the other end of the screen so you decided to finish the homework you longed to do. Alex felt completely relaxed as he closed his eyes, listening to the constant click-clack of the keyboard. Sometimes, he would hear your gentle humming and he wondered what part of the paper you were struggling on at the moment.

"Don't worry, Y/N." He dragged his words a bit, but your ears still picked it up, making you pause in your actions. "We'll do this again, but this time... with no screen between us. Just you..." He yawned. "And me. Good night. Te amo."

You couldn't stop the smile from forming. His words do wonders and you find your heart skipping a beat at his sentences. You have no idea how but it just does whenever he expresses something so genuine and honest. You silently watched his darkened features caused by the secluded room. "I love you," you sighed out to the wind, hoping to take it to where his dreams lie.

Travelling was not normal, to say the least. It was different than before, of course, because of the guidelines and all that. You wore your mask the whole way, rub your hands with alcohol every once in a while even after you diligently washed your hands with soap for a whole ass minute.

Knowing that Karl arrived an hour earlier than you, he must be waiting in the car with Alex in the driver's seat. After texting them a message indicating that you're already at the airport, Karl swiftly called your phone. "Hey."

"Yeah, just look for Alex's car at the parking lot."

Karl gave you the description but after looking at multiple identical vehicles, Alex decided that he should just go out and catch your attention or something. The two of you agreed and he instantly got out of the car. You immediately saw his attire consisting of black clothes, a black cap, and a black mask, waving at you. You sprinted, full of excitement until you crashed into his arms and felt warmth straightaway. His loud laugh rang in your ear and you couldn't help but burst out of laughter as well, knowing that this is the best day ever.

You didn't know though that Karl captured a picture of the two of you in a tight embrace. Luckily, Alex's back was facing him, covering you so he didn't have to censor anything. He posted it on Twitter along with the caption; 'Quackity is so nice with his fans :)'. In just a second, he earned 50k likes and 1k retweets, and 700 comments, all about him meeting Quackity again. "Wait," Karl said aloud and covered his mouth when he realized what he's done.

"Hi, Karl." You said, going inside the backseat since Alex already explained that Karl called shotgun. You noticed his shocked expression as he covered his mouth. "What happened?"

Karl's giggles resonated through the car. Finally, he couldn't contain it anymore as his chuckles turned into loud laughter. "I did something wrong..." He ran his fingers through his hair.

"What is it?" Alex asked, looking at him with furrowed brows and a small smile.

"I may have spoiled our meetup..." The atmosphere was full of confusion except for Karl's side since he's the only one giggling. "Check your phones-"

"Karl, you're such an idiot!" Alex howled lightheartedly.

After Karl had apologized even though the two of you weren't mad, Alex started the car and began driving home.

Almost an hour has passed and you found yourself crashing headfirst on your boyfriend's bed, letting out a huge puff of air.

You were about to fall into unconsciousness when you felt the mattress weight shift to your right. "Who should stream first?" You heard Karl ask.

"Not me." you propped yourself on your elbows and glanced at the boy, plus Alex who just came back from the bathroom and is now leaning against the door frame with his arms crossed. "I don't think I really wanna stream today. You guys should do it."

Karl was typing a reply to Twitter when he chuckled at you. "Okay, I should stream. Alex?" He turned to his friend.

"Sure, sure. Uh, I have to set the thing up." Alex walked towards his computer meters away from the bed.

While waiting, you decided to roll to the side to retrieve the phone in your backpack. You unlocked it with ease and you began doing whatever; reply to texts and messages, take a peek through indirect tweets, or go to your gallery again and observe some pictures you got (specifically the one Karl posted, you saved the image)

Speaking off, you swiftly opened your phone camera and scooted over to the corner of the bed where Karl is residing, still giggling every now and then with his tweets. When he saw your insinuation of wanting to take a photo, he stopped everything he was doing and smiled with you.

After a few pictures (and Karl switching it to his phone and took a few more), you scooted back to your original position to admire the photos.

"Are you gonna post it on Twitter?" Karl asked oh-so-innocently at you and you instantly replied with an icy stare, making him chuckle. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding."

karljacobs is live: THE Y/N AND ALEX MEETUP

As Karl played the tunes he usually plays on his Starting Soon screen, he made sure his mic was muted. "What are we gonna do?" His head turned around to his friends silently cuddling against each other out of the frame.

"I'm not gonna do a face reveal on your stream, Karl." You said, holding Alex's hand as he happily reciprocates.

"Oh come on. What about the height check?"

"I don't wanna do the height check anymore," the boy beside you complained as he soothingly combed his fingers through your hair.

"You guys are being mean to me." Karl opted for the guilt-trip arc, to incredibly make you feel bad about not conceding to his requests, saying that it's only just for today and that you all shouldn't waste the opportunity because it's a one-time thing and he had to leave so soon.

"Fine." You cracked. "I'm just gonna–" you raised a hand, stretched it over to where Karl was and moved it up and down. "There. A hand reveal."

Karl just stared at you, and you already know what he's going to say. 'You're out the gang.' Though before he could say it, he had to queue up another song because the first is nearly ending.

Eventually, Karl didn't push you anymore but you have a feeling that he's going to do it again on stream this time so you went and prepared the excuses you would want to use for later.

While Karl thanked his chat for a level 5 hype train, you felt Alex's lips touch your hair, making you face him. "Streaming or not, I'm just really glad you're here." Your face squeezed in both disgust and affection.

"Well that was incredibly cheesy." You shared a laugh. "I'm glad that I'm here too." You let yourself fall on his torso as Alex wordlessly took you into his arms. Now that you're here, he will take every chance to smother you with love touches as he could.

After the second song was done and the third song played, Karl called for Alex to get ready (mic muted). He stood up and left your side as he mustered the enthusiasm of his internet persona.

"Maybe you could play as a tune on your piano, Alex?" Karl suggested and the beanie-wearing boy immediately obliged, going to sit on the chair paired with the keyboard set up.

You watched the whole thing without a word. Karl unmutes his mic and Alex is cued with playing the iCarly theme song. Instinctively, you all stood up as if it was a national anthem. Karl sang the verse so loud while you and Quackity provided backup vocals.

"WOOO!" Karl screamed at the top of his lungs. Good thing Alex already closed up the windows or else the three of you might just get evicted on stream. "We're popping off, your honor! But on a serious note—"

Karl had to sit down for a moment and clasped his hands together. As his face turned into a grim and humorless look, Alex played a much slower version of the theme song. "As you all may know, this isn't a surprise anymore as I have accidentally posted it on Twitter."

Quackity laughed behind him. "That was unforgivable, Karl."

"However," the brown-haired boy chimed on in again. "I will offer a peace offering to chat. Will you guys forgive me if I give you guys a Y/N face reveal?"

You sputtered. "What the fuck!?"

"Oh, hi Y/N," Karl said casually as if he's pretending that you weren't there in the first place. "I didn't see you there. What's up?"

You scrunched your nose at him and Karl cracked up at your expression. But you had to snap out of it and reassure the viewers. "Chat, I'm not gonna do a face reveal! Here's my hand, see?"

Alex just chuckled at your moving hand in front of him. "They're picking up the crumbs as we speak."

"I have to go to the bathroom," you said, your eyes flickering over to Alex who was already looking at you as if he already knows that you don't know where the bathroom was. He immediately stood up from the chair and went to accompany you.

The moment you walked out, Alex insisted that you should go back ahead saying that he had to get something. You entered the room to Karl still talking to his chat, laughing now and then. "What are we doing today?" You asked once you returned to your original position outside of the frame.

"I'm thinking of doing a mediashare. Maybe a 'You Laugh, You Lose' kinda game?"

"Sure," you replied. You thought that it was going to be easy since chat wouldn't have to see you trying not to laugh, but you're the kind of person who laughs at everything (especially because you're in a good mood), so you'll probably lose the game quickly. "I'm just going to be here, not laughing at all."

"Wait, but you have to be here with me and Alex." Karl interjected.

"I-I could just sit here, outside of the camera and try not to laugh?"

"No because that would be lame?"

"Karl."

"Y/N."

"Here." You turned around to Alex's voice and a huge empty cardboard box in his hands. He let out a small chuckle. "Wear this."

You stared at it and grimaced. A smile threatened to form around your lips until you couldn't help it. "What the hell is this."

"Just use it to hide your face," Alex said so nonchalantly. He casually walked back to his seat, leaving you in the dust. Karl laughed as he watched the two of you, turning back to the computer to finish setting up the mediashare thing.

After a few moments, you finally obliged, begrudgingly yet awkwardly dragging your boxed self to the chair Alex had already placed beside him. The cardboard covers from your chest to your scalp since it was so big. But they can still see your fingers as they fidgeted against each other.

"Hi, chat." You let out, and even though it was still there, some of the weight fell off of your shoulders.

As Karl began to tell his viewers how to donate videos to watch again, Alex ever-so-discreetly reached for your hand and held it there out of comfort. Relief immediately washed over you and you felt as if you can actually go through the whole stream without ever overthinking about yourself.

"So, me, Y/N, and Quackity - do we have to have separate lives or share the lives?" He turned to both of you.

"I personally think it's more exciting to share the lives. I don't know-"

"Okay, okay. We share exactly 10 lives. If we don't lose in the last hour, the chat will gift so many subs. However, if we laugh 10 times, the stream ends. Sounds good?"

It was unfair, but that was the joke. You unintentionally let out a laugh. "Sounds good."

"Okay, gimme a second." Alex declares, standing up and reaching something in his workspace. A marker. "I can literally only see your boxed face when you're talking, so-" He drew a circle with a smiley face on it.

"Oh my, God, Dream?" Karl expressed, holding on to the arms of the chair in faux excitement. "Dream is actually here and not Y/N?"

"Top 10 funniest people?" Quackity rebutted.

"Oh, dear." When he announced that he's done, you turned your box towards him and tilted your head. "How do I look?"

Quackity looked at the smiley face he drew with a heart besides it. Your name was below as if it's a name tag. "You look... boxed."

Karl burst out in laughter. "Y/N is literally boxed like a fish!"

BONUS:

You wouldn't want poked holes in your box just so you could see the monitor. So, you devised a better solution. With the same mediashare link, you opened it on your phone so you could watch it at the same time as them, you're just inside the comfort of your box. You would only know if they're laughing if they produced the sound.

"Oh no, we only have 1 life left. Oh, dear." Karl said solemnly. "Okay, none of us should laugh or else. The stream will literally end once we laugh."

As if on cue, a random submission played. "Oh?"

The three of you watched in silence until the unexpected happened, and the video ended. Karl instantly covered his mouth to prevent the laugh from coming out. Quackity casually exhaled out of his nose. You nodded slowly as if you were trying to process what was happening. "I'm... not laughing." Karl stated.

"I can't actually tell if you guys are laughing." You said, placing your phone on your lap. With each of your hands, you blindly searched for Alex's face, stopping when you felt his skin. "Are you laughing?" Your palms lightly tapped his cheeks and lips. "Are you laughing?" You said again, snickering slightly as your fingers were dangerously itching towards the hem of his beanie.

"He-hey!" Quackity countered, holding your wrist. "I'm not laughing!" He told you, yet he was laughing at your antics. It made you laugh too, but you continued to poke every spot of his face. Karl joined in, and soon enough, the room was full of laughter.

"WOOO, WE LOST!" Karl screamed. "We're having fun, but before we end the stream, chat has been asking for a height check since the start so I guess we have to do it. Right?"

"Oh, no." Alex stared at the ceiling to express exhaustion. "I don't wanna do the height check."

You already stood up since your legs are getting sore. You held the box as you swayed yourself back and forth. "Come on, let's do it. I wanna let Kentai know that I'm actually taller than Alex."

Karl hollered. "True!"

"Ey, that's literally not true. It's not true at all."

"Do it then. Do it now," you dared.

The viewers will never know what your actual height is. You may or may not have raised the box to look taller than Alex, and he was denying the fact that you're taller than him. Chat was spamming 'divorce arc' the whole time. The argument was still going until Karl had to break it off, announcing that there should be another stream tomorrow, but on either you or Quackity's channel. The three of you said your goodbyes and Karl finally ended the live stream.

"Is it done?" You muttered, you wanted to clarify.

"Yeah, it's done." Karl replied.

"Yep," Alex stood up and turned to you, planting a kiss on the face he drew on your box before helping you take it off. "Mwaaaaa-" he said so aggressively. Your hair was all over the place and you were getting sweaty, but when he saw you, he leaned back down and gave you another kiss that made your nose scrunch up playfully. "Mwaaaa!"

"Give me one too!" Karl whined.
