"Are you a hundred percent certain that if he should look me up he wouldn't find anything?" I straightened my skirt as I prepared for the interview for the post of a personal assistant at Liam's company.

I kept asking Brie if the guy she said she knows wiped all traces of me being the CEO of Tres Belle Fashion Industry.

"I'm a hundred and fifty percent certain that nothing will come up or do you need to confirm right now?"
"Never mind I trust you besides I don't want to get there late. You know being early is the first step towards getting the job says the tutorial I watched yesterday." I laughed.

"What is the second step?" She laughed at me.
"Less dressing like a slut more dressing like a pro. Wish me luck?" I said, getting to the apartment door.
"I wish you luck and I hope you charm his pants off," Brie said literally but not literally as she wriggled her brows showing the double meaning behind her statement.

"Get your mind out of the gutter chica." I sassed.
"Just wishing you luck. I mean no harm and I totally come in peace." She feigned innocence as she raised her hands in a surrender form.
"Thanks, babe. I got to get this over with because my vacation house is at stake."
"I really hope you get the job," Brie said as she waved me goodbye.
I waved her bye and murmured an 'I hope so too.' This was the best shot and I got to give it my best.

The traffic jam was much that I was so glad that I left early cause I arrived at the company at a record time. At least I took one of my cars so I wasn't too uncomfortable. I wanted to take the shuttle but Brie said there was nothing wrong with taking one of my cars. I would be overdoing the whole thing if I took the shuttle.

I parked my car in the general lot and whispered a little prayer to God. I wasn't sure if praying in this situation was the best but I believed that God understood my plight right now. I came out of the car and walked towards the company's building. When I reached instead, I saw the receptionist and asked where the interview for the post of a personal assistant will be holding. She told me, so I entered the elevator to the twenty-fifth floor. Yeah... In case you are wondering, the building is a high rise building.

When I got there two other girls were there already but their dressing made me wonder whether I was at the right place. Little piece to almost no piece of clothing. I almost slapped my forehead in frustration, come on ladies! It's a job interview not a clubhouse or strippers club. Well the remaining twenty girls that came after me some dressed professionally and some dressed worse than the first two girls. Well, that's their business, I'm here for the job, not their dressing.

When my name was called, I stood up promptly and walked towards the CEO's office. Before I knocked I took a deep breath in order to calm my erratic heart from beating too fast. I finally knocked and heard a deep baritone say ' you may come in.'

I promised myself that I wouldn't squeal or hyperventilate when I see the CEO because I've done that bit with April and Brie yesterday when we were checking the company up for any relevant information I might need for the interview. April just suddenly screamed 'Holy shit! Damn!'

Brie and I suddenly stopped what we were doing on our laptops and hurried to where April was seating to know what was wrong. I met a really hot... sorry I meant flaming hot guy on her screen. I immediately assumed he was one of the so many crushers 'if that is even a word.'

"Omg April he is hot and you should totally date him. I mean I feel bad for Ryder if you stop crushing on him but I wouldn't feel bad if you end up with this nice piece of human specie. I mean come on," I turned to Brie who was beside me and asked " Wouldn't you date this nice human specie? No offense April." Brie started grinning.

"Why are you smiling like a Cheshire cat Brie? Would you or wouldn't you tap that ass? Once again no offense April." I said to April as I turned back to Brie to hear her reply.

"This is going to be your boss, doofus." April deadpanned. I whipped my head to her direction so fast that I thought I might break my neck.
"W...what? This is L...liam Jones?" I stammered.
In case you are wondering why I don't know how he looks like. Let me explain why I don't know. I'll use this case scenario. Have you ever had a celebrity that you know their name but if you are asked to point them out, you just really can't? That's how it is with Liam right now. I've heard his name so much but don't really know his face.

"Yeah... It most certainly is Liam." She said while pointing at the laptop screen.

Liam looked like he was on a vacation with his girlfriend and the background of the picture was a beach. Probably a private beach. His girlfriend was on a two-piece and a straw hat while he was on a blue short with his abs in full display and his piercing green eyes. What made the picture so lovely was that they were both laughing in a goofy manner, like they had no care in the world. As I saw that picture, I felt a pang of sadness hit me so hard. I'm going to be a bad person and ruin this beautiful thing they have going on.

"I feel terrible, so terrible about this whole thing. I'm going to be a homewrecker or rather a relationship destroyer. This relationship is so perfect." I groaned.
"You don't have to feel like a bad person Lettie cause you are not one. You are the sweetest and the most adorable person I know. Remember no relationship is perfect. They all have their flaws and cracks." April said.

"I'll only make a move on him if there are cracks in the relationship. If there is none, I'm retreating. I don't care what happens after that."
"You're such a sucker for love." Brie smiled.
"That I am, now that this phase is over, how do I even succeed in seducing this fine human specie? I'm just so plain to even catch his attention."  I put my hand on my jaw while thinking.

"Beats me. I mean you look like you and he just screams hot." April smirked obviously trying to rile me up.
I push her shoulders slightly as I said sarcastically "Thanks for the vote of confidence. I feel really elevated right now."
"I thought we were pointing out flaws. I was just helping you out," She sassed then continued. "You are going to win him by being yourself. Just believe in yourself and the rest is easy. Trust me it'll be."
I mumbled an 'I hope so too.'

You know that moment you want to wail how unfair life is, that moment when you meet a person and they are totally far better than how they are in their picture, while the rest of us struggle to look as pretty as pictures portray us to be. That is how hot Liam is right now, and it took every piece of me not to voice out my opinion.

"Do have a seat." He motioned towards the seat at the front of his desk.
"Do you like honest people Leticia?" He asked immediately I sat down.

I almost freaked out at how soon the interview started, but I calmed myself down by murmuring a 'be yourself, Lettie.'

"Yeah, I like honest people. I mean it's better I know what someone really thinks than the person lies to me." I chuckled nervously.
"Would you like to know what I thought of you when you came in?" He asked politely.

"Sure! Your opinion wouldn't hurt." I smile even though I'm so nervous.
"The moment I saw you, I thought 'Finally! A fully clothed person. I thought I would have to wash my eyes with bleach from the baby clothes I saw on the first two ladies." He sighed dramatically.

I tried not to, I really tried but the moment he said baby clothes I couldn't hold it anymore. I burst into laughter and thank goodness he joined me else it would have been awkward. If I eventually get hired, I think we'll get on just fine.

"That was so hilarious. Are you always this honest?" I said when we finally stopped laughing.
"That I am besides I'm glad you think so. That's a point extra for your job interview, decent dressing counts."

I say a silent thank you to my job instruction videos and to God too. Suddenly Liam stood up with a cup and came out of his desk. That was when I saw that he was only wearing socks. He wasn't on his shoes. I raised a questioning glance but didn't say a word cause that could come off as rude.
I think my questioning glance did the trick because Liam answered the question I really wanted to ask.

"It helps me think better. Besides normal is boring." He smiled.
I think I like this guy already. He's so goofy.
"I definitely agree with you on that." I smiled back.
"I love the vibe I'm getting from you, Leticia. I think you'll make a good personal assistant, so you've got the job." He beamed.

"Huh? Just like that? You didn't even check if I am qualified for the job?" I rambled like an idiot. It's not like I'm not grateful for the job, it just seems weird that I got it without him checking if I am qualified.

His smile dropped a bit and he said, "I know you might think I'm weird but I rarely hire based on the certificate but rather what you can prove. Your certificate would be useless to me if you can't prove what your certificate says you can do. It'll just be a piece of paper claiming you can something you can't do. My last personal assistant was a high school student who didn't know what to do after coming out of high school until after three years of working here, she decided she wanted to be a chef. It was sad to let her go but I was happy she finally found a purpose. The day I interviewed for that post, everyone was telling me what they studied, how many awards they got while in school. Melody just told me that I wouldn't regret employing her and although she only has her high school certificate, she's a willing learner. That promise was all I needed and that's why I hired her. Melody kept to her word and I never regretted hiring her." He finished.

Wow! I have never heard such an analytical argument before. My boss is so smart, and I think I'm falling.

"That's so..." I couldn't even find the right word.
"Stupid?" He said.
"No... Of course not. That's so out of the world's logical thinking. Do people like you even exist?" I put my hand on your chin.
"Do not inflate my ego." He laughed quietly.
"No... It's true and I think I'll really love working for you." I stood up and proceeded to take my leave.

He stretched out his hand and I shook it, and he said, "I look forward to working with you."
"Me too."
"So I'll see you on Monday?"
"Most definitely."
"Have a lovely weekend Leticia."
"You too boss."
"Boss sounds so old, next week we'll work on a better name."
"Sure boss," I say again as I laughed while I exited the office.

Immediately I got to my car, I did a fist pump. I don't like to toot my own horn, but I think it's safe to say that the interview went well.
Fingers crossed for the challenge ahead. I just hope I don't come out of this hating myself. Liam is such a nice person, I wouldn't want to hurt him. I hope Maddie's bet doesn't make me become desperate enough to do anything to win this bet.

I just can't afford to lose. Like April said ' So much is at stake!'
