BEFORE SCARLET ARRIVED/
I rode down the main road to Charlestown.I heard a lot of screaming of terror.Mostly because of me.I don't care I've gotten used to it for years.I see the boat arriving from England.Uhh I am not looking forward to Cornwallis coming.The last letter I received was he was bringing his daughter and she was coming to Charles town.I bet she is as ugly as he is.I laugh at my own joke.Then I saw the boat has arrived.I give the command to my horse to go faster.I ride to the port.I get off my horse and hand the reins to a horse boy waiting.I unfasten my buckle to my helmet.I take it off and put it under my arm.I walk to the front of the ramp and see my troops doing the same.Then a man steps off the boat and says "Presenting lord Cornwallis"!Everyone claps.I hear a lot of booing behind me.I laugh inside trying to hold a straight face.Cornwallis walks down and then he says to me "I want you to meet my daughter.Then the man says "Also presenting Lord Cornwallis daughter"!I hold in my laughter thinking of the ugly girl walking of the ramp.The man says "Lady Scarlet".I turn from Cornwallis and I see the most beautiful girl.
