Nagumo sighed. Why had he been getting such strange feelings around Y/n recently? She was only sat opposite him and she was already making his heart feel all fluttery! Everytime he was near her, he just couldn't help but want to pull her closer to him and---

"Nagumo you're daydreaming again. Lemme guess, Y/n?" Hiroto snickered. Nagumo went bright red and  glared at him. "No! No way!" "Oh come on Tulip-head, you're not that great at hiding it. We all know how you feel about her." "What do you m-mean?" "Well, if you're gonna play dumb with me... See ya." Nagumo was very confused. 'The hell does he mean, daydreaming about Y/n?'

Nagumo looked over at Y/n and instantly felt his face go crimson. 'Argh! What is this feeling?! Why is it just with her?!' 

"Hey Tulip." Nagumo nearly had a heart attack when he heard Y/n's voice next to him. "H-hey Y/n." He stammered out. 'This is so unlike me, why am i stammering? And why aren't i annoyed at that nickname?' "You look kinda off, is everything okay? Suzuno hasn't been teasing you again has he." She said with a small grin.

"What? No! I'm fine, I'm good. Okie-dokie!" He mentally cringed. 'Wow, smooth as sandpaper. God i'm so uncool.' Y/n laughed even more, and Nagumo failed to hide his face as it turned the colour of his hair. "You're all red, do you have a fever? Here." She placed a hand on his forehead and studied him closely. "Weird. You're kinda warm but not feverish."

It was at that moment when Nagumo realised how close he was to Y/n. and stared at her in a daze.

"Nagumo?" He snapped out of his trance-like daze and realised the closeness between him and the female opposite him. He couldn't do this. Drawing himself back, he panicked. "U-uh I'm fine F/n, really! See?" Y/n looked slightly confused. "If you say so? Well, see ya round Tulip-head.~" 

'Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa doiuhjwlhqgpoiuheqb Nagumo you're an idiot [me on a daily basis]' "Tut tut Nagumo, I thought you were actually gonna do it this time. I had more faith in you than this." And, of course, that smug faced Hiroto had to turn up now. "Shut up!" "God, you're more pathetic than Tatsuya. Just kiss her already! She clearly likes you back. If you don't I know at least two people who will." "I...I can't though!" "Man you're a loser. I'm gonna go find Suzuno, he's less of a wimp than you are. See ya lover boy." He taunted. leaving Nagumo to be seriously annoyed at both Hiroto and himself.

It was at this point Nagumo realised he had a major problem. He seriously loved Y/n, and he had to tell her this at some point. If even Hiroto could see how he felt, then surely everyone else could too. He would confess to her tonight, he decided. Easy, right? He'd never been so wrong.

"Nagumo? You wanted to talk alone, is everything okay?" Nagumo mentally prepared himself, and began to speak. "Well, actually, I do wanna tell you something. Um... I-I.... Screw it, I'll just show you instead."

Nagumo finally did the one thing he'd been waiting to do ever since he'd pretty much befriended Y/n. He leant forward and crashed his lips into hers, in a kiss. Y/n was very taken aback, but was pretty glad to know Nagumo returned her feelings.

When the need for oxygen finally kicked in, they pulled away. "I like you too. It was pretty obvious to be fair." She said with a grin. "Oh shut up, not you as well." Y/n just giggled in response.

Yeah this is the reason for the whole "GUYS QUICK NAGUMO OR SUZUNO" thing. Still lowkey shook Nagumo won lmao. Oh yea my mum doesn't know inazuma eleven, she just looked at the characters and picked one for his hair lmao, you know who you are who asked about that dude. :D Anyway, been listening to that version of the disney classic, so i figured i'd write some fluff for once.
