Traits

+Gentle: Riff is a mild-mannered individual who prefers to handle conflict by either avoiding it in the first place, or via discussion. He views physical violence as being quite barbaric and unnecessary, although if commanded to attack by his alpha, he will obey and partake in fighting as long as he deems the situation appropriate. Despite his docile nature restricting him from rising the ranks in his pack, Riff doesn't mind. Not much of his ambition rests in gaining power and authority.

+Charming: Riff isn't naturally good at making nice with others for no reason- the collie mix radiates warmth and energy that draws other dogs to him like bugs to a light. His attentive-nature and positive outlook can put even the most cautious of dogs at ease. He always make sure to greet his pack mates with a smile and an enthusiastic hello.

+Merciful: If someone does happen to cross Riff, he finds it challenging to stay mad at anyone for too long. In times of conflict he tries his best to set his personal feelings aside and avoid holding grudges. This is especially true if he feels the opposing party is remorseful of their actions. However, he can sometimes be fooled with a regretful facade and may be too quick to forgive others.

-Oversensitive: Riff is easily hurt by criticism and insults. While he appreciates the occasional constructive comment, he may take some of it to heart and find himself feeling insecure. He worries about disappointing others and will profusely apologize if he feels he has wronged someone.

-Subservient: With an exception to some scenarios, Riff will obey pretty much any order given to him by his superiors. At his core he is a "yes-man" and seeks to please others. Because of this, he may struggle to think for himself and is a stringent rule follower.

-Nosy: Riff sometimes finds himself pressing others a bit too hard about their emotions when he feels their upset and in need of someone to vent to. While this comes from a place of concern and kindness on Riff's part, other dogs that don't know him very well may take this the wrong way.

Fears: Losing his pack- he can't imagine surviving on his own without at the very least being miserable and lonely.

Scenario

Tensions had grown high between your pack and the neighboring one of feral dogs. After a beaver dam had been formed upstream of the other pack, they had been forced to cross territory lines in order to gain consistent access to water. Although your Alpha initially did not mind this, rumors began to spread that they were now hunting on your pack's land as well. Things finally came to a climax after two patrols stumbled upon one another, and after a heated argument, a physical altercation began. What was previously a small squabble grew into a pack wide fight. The battle seemed to last forever, and just as you went to sink your teeth into the collie you had tackled, you caught sight of an unmistakable pair of deep brown eyes that radiated fear and panic. It was your childhood friend, Riff. You halt your attack for a moment out of pure astonishment, but you are quickly ripped back into reality by the booming voice of your Alpha. "Y/N! Get that mutt up on his feet and take him back to camp." You..
