I knew my mom was up to something but I didn't expect to walk into the house and see this many people. She was a little obvious though, asking me to go pick up toilet paper and other house supplies that we already had enough of.

"Aww gee thanks guys!" I say to everyone stand around my living room. There are quite a few people here. MY uncle and aunt, a few of my cousins, my mother of course, Caleb, Jake, Nina, Dex, and.....Scarlett.

She is just simply gorgeous and doesn't even have to try. I make eye contact with her and give her a small smile as I make my way over to hug everyone. I see Dex plug in his laptop and a music playlist starts playing and the first song that comes on is Birthday Sex, which he changes as fast as he can but not before I get a look from my mom and the laughs of my cousins. I shake my head and laugh with them and then walk up to Dex.

"Hey man, Happy Birthday!" He says and shakes my hand.

"Thank you. And thanks for busting out the birthday sex song. My mom sure loved that." I say sarcastically and laugh.

He laughs as he is searching through his portfolio of music on his laptop. "Sorry about that. Guess we should save those songs for later huh?" He nudges my arm and chuckles quietly. "Your mom loves me though, she won't be mad. Hey so did you see who else came to your little shin dig?" He asks and looks elsewhere. I follow his gaze and spot Scarlett again whom is laughing with my mom and Nina.

"Yeah, I seen her." I say while still looking at Scarlett. She looked good in her Harley Quinn outfit today, that costume hugged on her body tightly showing all of her curves. The girl has such a nice body and I can't help but admire it and she has a very nice butt as well. I consider myself more of a butt man and she's definitely got a nice one. A body that can stop a truck, eyes that can make a man forget how to talk, and a smile that can light up even the darkest of rooms. I notice the wrapped gift that she is holding in her hands and I can't help but smile. I didn't expect Scarlett to be standing in my living room today, much less buy me a gift.

"You got it bad, don't you?" Dex says with a smirk. "Just go talk to her."

"I don't know man. I barely know the girl but there is just something about her that makes me like, I don't know. Lose my train of thought anytime I see her. It's a little intimidating." I look back at him before I get caught staring and look like a creep.

"And that, Dean, is called lust. Look, don't be a puss. Just go talk to her. Girl like that won't be single for too long. Take your shot while you can." He tells me and I know he's right.

"Do you like her? I know you asked me the other week about wanting to hang out with her, and I saw you leaving with her today after school..."

"No. I mean she's a cool ass chick, I will admit." He interrupts me. "But I think you two would be a good match. And today you just seen me bumming a ride with a friend so that we can pick up a poster board for our project and pick up your birthday cake for your moms. You told me you're into her, and you know I wouldn't do that to you." It's true. I know he wouldn't, but I still had to ask. "Besides," he continues, "She is into you. I mean she didn't tell me but it's there, I see it. She also had some words with Ryker at the store, sticking up for you too. Feisty little thing she is." He chuckles and shakes his head in amusement. I can't help the smile that escapes onto my face.

I pat Dex on the shoulder and walk over to where Scarlett is now standing with Nina, Caleb and Jake. "Hey thanks for coming guys." I say as I reach their little circle. I shake hands with the guys and hug Nina. I face Scarlett and before I can open my arms to hug her too, she hands me the wrapped gift that she has been holding.

"Happy Birthday." She says quietly and with a hint of shyness in her voice. God this girl is sexy.

"You didn't need to get me anything, really. You guys being here is cool." I say even though I am eager to know what it is. I mean, who doesn't like gifts?

She rolls those beautiful hazel eyes at me and gives me that smile almost blinding me. I know Ryker was her first kiss, meaning she's a virgin, which leads me to my question, were the guys at her last school just fucking stupid or blind? "Just open it." She says.

I break from my impure thoughts and gently pull the box and wrapping off revealing a DVD with a bright orange sticky note that says, "Hint: Batman wins." I chuckle as I look at the DVD and realize it's the Superman vs. Batman and look up at Scarlett who looks pretty pleased with herself. It's adorable really.

"Looks like I am going to have to find out for myself now aren't I? I still don't see how he would win though." I give her a smile and put my arms around her to hug her. "Thank you." I say in her ear.

"You're welcome." She says under her breath when I pull away from her. She even smells amazing. Dammit, I am fucked.

Jake and Caleb are smirking at me and I flip them off while Nina is saying something to Scarlett. The party has been going pretty nice so far. My family gave me money for my birthday and we ate a lot of food. My mom went a little crazy in the kitchen making all of my favorites.

"Time for the cake!" My mom announces to everyone. I sit down next to her at the table when everyone huddles over. I feel like a little kid, just without those pointy cardboard hats, but it's probably my last birthday at home and my mom needs this. Dex offered to set up the cake and light up the candles. Everyone starts singing Happy Birthday when Dex starts carrying the half sheet cake over to the table. I notice Scarlett's eyes go wide and then everyone starts laughing and I then realize why.

"What? What is that....oh my god! That is not what I ordered! I ordered a chocolate cake!" My mom screams with embarrassment in your voice. I start busting up laughing at the cake that was in front of me. It was a light colored penis shaped cake with black icing replicating pubic hairs. I can't contain my laughter and have to hold my stomach.

"Gosh dammit! DEX!" My mother yells and everyone starts to laugh, including my mother.

"Sorry Marie, I had to. It is still chocolate flavor though." He says as he shrugs his shoulders. I watch as my mother just shakes her head and continues to laugh with everyone.
