Nelyafinwë / Nelyo / Maedhros

Impulsive, comical, and loyal. Those are three words I would use to describe Maedhros Nelyafinwë. Nelyo is at his core a wonderful person who cares deeply about his friends. He isn't friends with everyone; specifically he dislikes Indis and her sons and daughters. But he has made himself be agreeable to all his cousins, even if he really is only great friends with four: Fingon, Turgon, Argon, and Finrod. But with those four he is a total prankster and loves to joke and tease. That is his way of showing affection. With his brothers, he is similar, but even more so he is caring and wants to know their thoughts. I am basing this on my own interpretation, as I believe everything changed for Maedhros the minute Morgoth got ahold of him. Yet even then, he still acted as mediator between his brothers and the cousins.

Kánafinwë / Káno / Maglor

The mighty singer, gifted in music beyond any other in Valinor, and the most level headed of the sons of Fëanor. He and Maedhros are often together, and have the same four friends: Fingon, Turgon, Finrod, and Argon. But beyond that, he is on good terms with all the other cousins, even Angrod. He is much more soft spoken than Maedhros, but likes to tease Fingon back as much as the next person. He has a thing for Elemmírë, but time is running out for them. Maglor, when worked up into anger, takes a very long time to calm down, and will only get angry if he sees it as a righteous cause (like avenging Finwë).

Tyelkormo / Tyelko / Celegorm

Ah, Tyelko. One of the most tragic of Fëanor's sons. In my version, I have Tyelko and his hunters be the first point of contact for Melkor with the Noldor. It makes sense to me; Tyelko is the only one actively using weapons because he is a Hunter. And his close friendship with Curufin will get him into all sorts of mixed up crap where Melkor is involved. He is a more serious character than his brother Nelyo, but Tyelko can make a joke or tease a brother if he cares to. He jokes around mostly with his three best friends in the Hunters, and his crush Hrávien. Tyelko is extremely close to his twin youngest brothers, the Ambarussa, and taught them all he knows about hunting, and later about swordplay. Though he loves Moryo, it is probably he who Tyelko associates with the least of his siblings. Tyelko is easily angered, but keeps it under control by avoiding those who anger him: Aegnor, Angrod, and Artanis most of all. He gets along well with Fingon and Finrod and Turgon, and is close with Aredhel who is also a friend of Hrávien. Plus he adores his dog Huan with all his heart.

Morifinwë / Moryo / Caranthir

One of the few characters to have a definite nickname when I talk about him, I call him Moody Moryo. He's as emo as an elf can be, except maybe for Ëol. Moryo is quiet and serious, and enjoys his own company more than anyone else's. And yet despite this fact, he is kind to those in need and tags along with Nelyo to watch his eldest brother's antics. He has a special love for the stars, a soft spot he lets no one know about. He also feels guilty after his intense outbursts of anger, at least until the first Kinslaying changed them all. Moryo gets along with Fingon and Turgon only, disliking most of the other cousins. He will tolerate Finrod and Aredhel, but the others are not on his good side, especially not the middle sons of Finarfin.

Curufinwë / Curvo / Curufin

If Moryo is Moody, Curufin is Cranky. He feels himself above 95% of the rest of the elven population, and wants desperately to prove that. He has been hardened by his father's pressure and coaching, and wants only to show the world that he can compete with the best smiths in Valinor. Curvo is tasked with overseeing the construction of Formenos whenever Fëanor himself is away, something which pleases Curvo to no end. Curvo gets along with none of his cousins, tolerating only Aredhel and Fingon because they come around all the time.

Pityo / Amras and Telvo / Amrod

Amras, in my version, is the elder twin (that happened somewhere in Tolkien's drafts). Amras is also the more vocal and outspoken of the twins, taking after Fëanor more than Nerdanel. He values stength and skill, but finds time to tease people almost as much as Nelyo now that he's an adult. Pityo's love for his twin is endless, and would sacrifice himself for Telvo at a moment's notice. He is especially close with Nelyo and Tyelko as well. He gets along well with most of his cousins.

Amrod, in my version, is the younger twin. Telvo is sweeter, more caring than his twin brother, and takes after Nerdanel more than Fëanor. He all but worships his twin, and he adores his other brothers, especially Tyelko and Nelyo. Telvo is a gentleman, or at least enjoys playing at one, and mocks the real ones like Turgon and Finrod. He gets along well with all his cousins. He also enjoys reading as well as the hunt, balancing his active side with his scholarly one.
