【SEASON 5 EPISODE 1】

"Everyone, gather around." Daniel called out to the students in the backyard of Miyagi-Do. He smiled at his students lining. "It's great to see you all back here again. You know, we had one goal going into the All Valley. Beat Cobra Kai."

Julianna, who was standing in between Eli and Demetri, felt her mood immediately dampen.

"Walked away with a first place trophy thanks to Eli" Daniel cheered and Jules smiled. She was proud of Eli. As the students cheered, Julianna turned to her boyfriend, giving him a big smile as Demetri and Lexi obnoxiously cheer.

"As far as the rest of the tournament." Daniels starts. His eyes fell on Jules. Julianna's smile was gone. She had head pointed at him, but her eyes looking everywhere else.

Daniel sighed, shaking his head at the young girl. "Well, it just didn't go our way." Jules finally looks up and locks eyes with Daniel. He gives her a small smile, hoping she can read his demeanor to know he's not disappointed.

"We said we'd close our dojo if we lost. And that's exactly what we're going to do. As of today, I'm shutting down Miyagi-Do Karate."

Gasped echoed throughout the backyard. Jules leaned forward and turned her head to look at Lexi from over Eli and Demetri, her eyes wide and her jaw dropped.

"What?" Sam asked as Eli shook his head. "Wait, Mr. Larusso—" Daniel cut off Eli, not looking any of the front row in the eyes. "I know that's not what you were hoping to hear, but with everything going on at Cobra Kai, continuing Miyagi-Do only leaves a target on your backs. Guys, I have to keep you safe, okay? Just remember what you've learned. This dojo may be closing, but Miyagi-Do lives inside each and every one of you still."

Julianna's head fell. As people started to walk out, Demetri sighed. "Great. Guess I'm getting a summer job." He grumbled as he started to walk away. Lexi looked at Daniel, part of her hoping he'd start laughing and saying it was all a joke, but he didn't budge.

Julianna's eyes still watched the ground. Her compressed and she hands were shaky. She felt her hand get grabbed and she turned her head. She squeezed Eli's hand as he started slowly leading her out of the dojo. When they got to the side gate leading to the parked cars, Eli pulled her closer, letting go of her hand and wrapping his arm instead.

Julianna felt a couple of the other students eyes on her. Judging eyes. Jules tried her hardest to ignore them, keeping her head forward.

Eli noticed the glares Julianna was getting and gave an evil look to them that Jules didn't notice. The boys instantly stopped glaring at Jules.

A proud smirk went across Eli's face before he leaned down, pressing a long kiss to the top of Julianna's head. He knows she feels guilty.

"It's gonna be okay, Jules." Eli muttered and Jules slowly nodded, leaning in closer to him.

Jules paced Carmen and Yaya's apartment. Carmen was at work and Yaya was asleep and Julianna needed Miguel to come back.

She called him a couple times, but never got an answer. Jules looked down at her phone, Miguel's contact staring back at her. She stopped walking and started tapping her foot. Deciding maybe three times is a charm, Jules decided to call Miguel again for the third time since she got bailed out.

Ring...

Jules started pacing again.

Ring...

Jules lifted her left hand, chewing nervously on her thumb.

Ring...

Jules stopped pacing again. She scoffed, pulling her phone away from her ear just as she heard breathing on the other side of the line. Julianna felt a wave a relief.

"Miguel?" Jules asked into the phone and after a couple seconds, she got a response. "Hey, Jules."

Julianna felt herself start to tear up. Miguel was okay. She swallowed the lump in her throat and held onto the back of the couch. "You had me worried sick. You know that?"

It was quiet on Miguel's side. He did know it. "Yeah. I know. I just didn't want anyone to know where I was until I found my dad."

Jules straightened up. She walked around the couch and sat down. "Did you find him?"

"I don't know. I think so?" Miguel said before he let out a small gasp. "Oh my god. Jules he's right here. I've got to go." Miguel quickly said. Julianna deflated slightly, but she knew this was really important to Miguel. She put on a fake smile and nodded. "Okay, I'll talk to you later."

"I'll talk to you later. Love you." Miguel quickly and quietly said before he hung up. Jules pulled the phone away from her face and huffed, shaking her head. "I love you too."

Julianna put her phone back in her pocket and walked towards the bathroom. She stared at herself in the mirror. She wanted a change. Jules grabbed a piece of her dyed blonde hair and squinted. She looked up to the top of her head, her roots had been coming in more and to be honest, Jules missed her brown hair.

Julianna pulled her phone back out of her pocket and quickly called her groupchat with Lexi, Moon, Yasmine, and Sam. Jules put her phone down on the counter and pointed it at herself, waiting for the girls to join the facetime.

"Hey, Jules! What's up?" Moon asked when she picked up almost instantly. She was in her car. Right after Moon joined, everyone else started to join one by one. Jules smirked at herself in the mirror, twirling the strand of hair in her fingers. "How do you girls feel about a salon day?"
