SEASON 5 EPISODE 3

For the past two hours, Jules was helping her dad get paint off of his car. She didn't want to, but after getting arrested and her dad leaving to Mexico to get Miguel back, Julianna wanted to spend some time with her dad. She really did miss him.

Once they finished, they walked towards the Diaz apartment for breakfast. Julianna was covered in sweat and chemicals. She took off her hoodie and left it outside the front door as they walked in. "Hey, sorry we're late. Graffiti's a bitch to clean off. You should see my van. Should be illegal to deface someone else's property." Johnny said, taking a seat to the chair closest to the door.

Julianna's brows furrowed at her dad, taking the seat beside him. "It is. I was arrested for it."

Johnny turned to look at Jules before he awkwardly cleared his throat, looking down at the food on his plate. "Well, this looks different."

Jules looked down and cringed at the burnt sunny side up on her plate, looking up at Miguel who was straight ahead of her in the kitchen. "Yeah, I made it. Oh, I forgot the orange juice.Uh, one second."

Julianna turned to Yaya, who was sitting directly across the table from her. Yaya looked just as disgusted as Jules did, but she just shrugged at Jules.

"Everything okay with you and Robby? " Carmen asked Johnny, sitting at the end of the table. Johnny gave Carmen a half smile, "Yeah, really good. Ride home was a little quiet though. I think things between himand Miguel are gonna take some time." Johnny said and Jules snickered.

"Shocker." Jules muttered and Johnny whipped his head to her, glaring. Julianna's eyes widened, shrugging at her dad. "What?"

"Okay, orange juice." Miguel said happily. He went to go sit down next to Yaya and in front of Johnny, but Yaya dropped him, sticking her arm out. She asked him if he was planning on visiting Sam any time soon and Miguel chuckled. "Yeah. I think I need to make an apology meal for Sam too."

Suddenly, Carmen gagged. Jules quickly turned to her and watched as Carmen shot out of her seat and ran towards the bathroom.

The table was quiet for a moment, none of them knowing why Carmen ran out. Jules hadn't tried Miguel's food yet, but after that reaction, she didn't want to. "Maybe we should order in instead."

...

Jules sat at booth at the local diner with Yasmine, Sam, Moon, and Lexi. Jules, Sam, and Lexi squished into one side of the booth in that other while Yasmine and Moon sat across from them.

Sam's cell phone chimed and Sam looked down. She read her text and sighed, making Jules turn to her with a worried look. "Is everything okay?"

Sam turned to Jules, showing her and Lexi her texts with Miguel. "It's just Miguel." Sam said and Yasmine perked up. "Ohhh, let me see."

Sam turned to phone around to Yasmine and Moon. Yasmine chuckled. "Desperate. But cute. He knows he's in deep shit."

"I just... I feel likethings have been off lately. There's so much I wanna say. Maybe I should just... lay it all out?" Sam asked and Yasmine gasped.

"No! No, less is more." Yasmine said, taking the phone out of Sam's hands. Jules squinted at Yasmine, turning to Sam beside her. "I wouldn't put it that way, but you should definitely wait it out. It's betterto have these conversations in person."

Sam gave Jules a grateful smile.

"Mm-hm. Keep it short, not sweet." Yasmine advised before giving the phone back to Sam. Sam, Lexi and Jules read what Yasmine, Lexi and Jules reading it from other Sam's shoulder. "I'm okay."

"Should I add a smiley face or something?" Sam asked.

"Definitely." Jules immediately said, nodding her head as Yasmine spoke at the same time as her. "No!"

Julianna and Yasmine turned to each other, glaring. Sam looked at Jules and then to Yasmine. Considering Julianna is the one that is in a relationship, a long one at that, Sam added a smiley face before hitting send.

Moon checked her on phone to look at the time and her eyes widened, a big smile growing on her face. "Ladies, it's time to go!"

...

The five girls walked into the room all of them but Sam having gone there before. Sam let out an uncomfortable laugh as she turned around. "Moon, this place is so you."

"Isn't it?" Moon hummed in excitement before turning to Sam. "When Eli and Jules broke up, there was a lot of negative energy. It was... radiating off of her." Moon said and Jules turned to her, a "really?" look on her face that Moon ignored. "This place helped cut through the noise.Which is why I brought you here. You gotta find yourself. Figure out who you really are."

"They also do facials." Yasmine added.

"And there's a hair salon in the back which is where we're going." Lexi said. She turned to Sam and gave her a smile. "Good luck finding yourself." Lexi smiled out, grabbing Julianna's hand to pull her to the back room, but stopped when Moon stuck her arm out, frowning at Jules.

"But you have to go into the self-actualization pod!" Moon said. Julianna's eyes widened, remembering the claustrophobia she felt being in there when Moon took her the first time. "No way! I couldn't even handle it last time!" Jules shrieked, making Moon frown at her.

"Ever since the tournament, you've been off balance." She said and Jules gave her a small smile, grabbing a piece of her hair. "Why do you think I'm going to the salon?"

Jules turned to Lexi and raised her brows. As if Lexi was reading her mind, she started heading towards the backroom, dragging Jules with her.

...

Jules smiled as she stared at herself in the mirror, her brown hair staring back at her. It felt weird to not be blonde anymore, but Jules always didn't love her brown hair. Jules turned to look at Lexi. She silently asked how it looked and Lexi smiled, nodding her head.

The bell above the door to the hair salon chimed through the air just as Julianna's stylist finished blow drying her hair.

Jules, who was looking at Lexi, heard Moon squeal from behind her. Jules looked ahead and into the mirror she looked at Moon, Yasmine, and Sam's reflection and smile.

"It's so pretty!" Moon gasped, walking to stand with Lexi as the stylist turned Julianna's chair to face the two of them. Jules looked up at the lady, giving her a big smile and a thank you.

The stylist gave Jules a smile in return and walked towards the cash register, waiting for her to pay. Julianna turned back to her friends, Yasmine and Sam standing with Lexi and Moon now. All of them practically squealed in excitement.

...

Jules walked into her house after getting dropped off by Moon and froze in the doorway at her home.

It looked... clean. There was a new couch, new paintings, her eyes scanned over everything different about her home. She looked to the floor in the living room and saw her dad building a shelf.

"What... happened?" Jules asked, her home looking unrecognizable to her. Johnny sighed, shrugging his shoulders as he stood up. "I could ask you the same thing." Johnny said, pointing at Jules before answering her question. "Making a few changes. Figured I'd make the place... safer." He said before he pointed at Julianna's hair again.

"What... happened?" Johnny asked taking a sip of water. Water. Not beer. Jules gave her dad a smile and shrugged. "I missed it." She said and Johnny smiled. "I did too."

Julianna went to walk towards her room, but Johnny walked up to her, pulling her into a hug. Jules was caught off guard, but quickly hugged him back nonetheless.

"I love you, Jules. You know that right?" Johnny asked and Jules smiled, she tightened her grip around her dad and nodded against his chest. "I know it. And I love you too, Dad."

When they pulled away, Julianna gave her dad once more smile before heading off to her room to feed Fred. Luckily, Carmen knew about Fred and while Jules was in juvie and Johnny was in Mexico, Carmen would come over and feed Fred.
