【𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝟏 𝐄𝐏𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐃𝐄 𝟏𝟎】

After the three girls had their sleepover, Moon's mom had come to pick her up so she could get to the arena early and get tickets. Lexi and Julianna decided on sleeping in a little longer, still having time till they needed to be there.

When the girls got to the arena, they walked up to the group as Miguel aggressively punched the air. "Yo, Miguel, calm down, man. Save some for the tournament." Hawk said, unconsciously wrapping his arm around Julianna's waist once she was beside him. Miguel just gave him a look before punching the air again.

"Hey don't even bother. He's been super aggro ever since the breakup." Aisha said and Hawk sighed, turning to Julianna, tapping his finger against her waist to get her attention. "Where's your dad? The tournament's gonna start soon."

Julianna shrugged. "I don't know. He wasn't home last night or when we woke up." Julianna turned to Lexi to confirm her story and she nodded her head. "But I'm sure he'll be here." Lexi reassured. "I don't know about that." Everyone turned to Bert confused.

"What do you mean?" Julianna slowly asked. "I saw him last night at the mini-mall. I was buying a.... carton of milk when I heard him in the parking lot, yelling."

"Why didn't you tell us this earlier?" Aisha practically screamed at Bert who just stepped back a bit. "I don't know. I guess I'm so used to seeing him drunk, it didn't seem like that big a deal."

"Well, we're here and he's not. So it's officially a big deal." Lexi groaned, running a hand through her hair. "What if something happened to him?" Hawk angrily asked Bert. "Like what?" He asked and Julianna worriedly turned to Lexi. There of course had been nights where her father was so drunk he didn't come home but she knew how important this tournament was to him and knew he wouldn't miss it. What if something bad really happened to him?

"I don't know... Like he drove his car off a cliff, or bought a gun and blew his brains out." Hawk said, forgetting the girl right beside him was Johnny's kid. "No. Sensei would never kill himself. That's too pussy a move." Aisha shot down and Julianna shook her head, wiggling herself out of Hawk's grasp and going to walk away. "Aw, shit! Jules! I'm sorry!" Hawk screamed, finally realizing how bad the conversation sounded.

Julianna turned around to face her group and saw her dad walk out from behind them. She let out a breath of relief, pushing passed her friends and hugging her dad as tight as she could. "Oh, thank God."

"We didn't think you were gonna show up." Hawk said, shrugging his shoulders. "I may not always win, but I never back out of a fight." Johnny mumbled. "Great. Let's sign in." Miguel groaned and Johnny shook his head. "Not yet. There's one more lesson I have to teach you."

Johnny started walking into the arena, the students following after him until Julianna felt someone grab her arm, stopping her. She turned and faced Miguel before shifting her eyes to the ground. Miguel sighed, and Julianna could feel the regret radiating off of him. "Jules..." Miguel mumbled and Julianna kept her eyes on the ground. "Jules, can you please look at me." Julianna finally looked up at Miguel ready to hear what he had to say.

"Look.. I didn't mean to hit you, I was just... I was upset and angry that Sam showed up with that guy and I shouldn't have yelled and I definitely shouldn't have hit you. And you can be as pissed at me as long as you want but all I want is for you to forgive me whenever you're ready. You're one of my best friends. I need you around." Miguel said, his eyes not leaving Julianna's but hers met the ground again. She bit her lip before nodding. "Okay. I know you didn't mean too but I'm still pissed." Miguel instantly smiled and opened his arms out. "Bring it in?" Julianna smiled. "Bring it in!"

Miguel and Julianna hugged for a few seconds before heading into the arena where the rest of Cobra Kai was. Julianna stood in between Hawk and Lexi as her father started his motivational speech. "You've all learned to strike first, to be aggressive, not be losers. I taught you to strike hard, put every ounce of your power behind everything you do. But I haven't taught you the third rule of Cobra Kai. No mercy."

Julianna froze at his words. "The older you get, the more you're gonna learn that life isn't fair. You wake up one morning feeling great, and then life throws a spinning heel kick to your balls, takes a big steamy shit in your mouth. You get an F on a test, you get suspended. You fall in love with a girl, or a dude, I don't know" He said, pointing at Julianna, Lexi and Aisha.

"And some other person comes and steals them away. Car gets set on fire. Just when you think things are going good, everything falls apart. That's how it goes. Life shows no mercy, so neither do we. We do whatever it takes to keep our heads above water. We do whatever it takes to keep moving forward. We do whatever it takes to win! Remember who you are. You're a badass! You don't give a shit! You kick ass! You're Cobra Kai."

"Cobra Kai!" Miguel screams, making everyone cheer with him. "All right, guys. Let's get down there and kick the shit out of everybody!" Julianna screamed and everyone cheered with her. Miguel pulled his gi out of his backpack but Johnny shook his head. "No. You're not wearing those."

He opened the duffel bag he had been carrying and passed out new gi's. All black with yellow linings, the Cobra Kai logo on the back. Julianna smiled at the new design as he passed them out. The last gi, he gave to Julianna, pointing a finger at her. "Now we kick ass." Julianna smiled, nodding her head.

Just like everyone else, Julianna wanted to win the All Valley but not for the same reasons as her other team members had in mind.

Sure she wanted to win for the glory and the trophy but she wanted to mainly win for her dad. She knew how much the All Valley tournaments meant to him back in his day and how much they still mean to him now. She wanted to win for her dad. She wanted to make him proud and get the Lawrence name back on the All Valley title.

...

"Cobra Kai! Cobra Kai! Cobra Kai! Cobra Kai!" The kids shouted as the entered the stage area of the arena in a line with Julianna leading.

"Now that's what I call an entrance! And a badass name for a dojo! Let's hear it for Cobra Kai!" The announcer screamed, making Julianna smirk.

She could hear faint cheers from Moon and Demetri and saw them waving to her. Julianna waved back when the announcer's words caught her attention.

"And finally, fighting unaffiliated from North Hills, we have Mr. Robby Keene."

Julianna and Johnny froze. Julianna slowly turned around and saw her twin running up to her to get to the stage, the two did a little high five and fist bump that no one saw as he passed, making her smile.

Julianna was the first one up from Cobra Kai, going up against a lanky boy a few inches taller than her, making her feel like she could beat him. As she walked towards the center, her whole team gave her pats on the back until Johnny pulled her over to him by the arm. "Kick his ass." Julianna smirked and nodded her head.

After she and the boy bowed, she raised her arms into their fighting stance and as soon as they were allowed to fight, the boy charged at her but Julianna did a quick kick flip, kicking him in the face and knocking him out. Julianna stared at the boy with wide eyes before feeling the referee grab her hand and lift it in the air for victory. That wasn't too hard.

After a few more rounds, only a few members of Cobra Kai were left before the semi finals. Hawk, Julianna, Miguel and Lexi.

Lexi stepped to the mat and stared up at the boy she was going up against with wide eyes. He didn't even look like a boy, he looked like a grown ass man. He was about 6 feet tall with a man bun and a slight beard showing. Julianna brought a hand up to her face worryingly as she watched the guy twice her best friend's size kick her in the stomach. Lexi fell back so hard that she fell into the line of Cobra Kai students. Julianna caught her just before she hit the ground as Johnny walked up to the referee, saying it wasn't a fair game.

Lexi shook her head, pushing herself out of Julianna's grasp and walking towards the boy again. Julianna looked up in the audience to Demetri and Moon, both of them watching the smaller girl closely.

Lexi put up her fist and blocked every kick the boy sent her way but before she could even prepare for it, the boy sent a kick straight to her face and Lexi fell to the ground, grasping her head in pain. Julianna and Hawk ran to help her up and as she limped back into the line, Lexi turned back to the boy she fought and flipped him off.

It was now the semi-finals and Julianna and Miguel were the last ones from Cobra Kai in the fight.

"There can be only one true winner, and they are standing on this stage right now. Will it be Miguel Diaz from Cobra Kai Karate?" The announcer screamed as the audience cheered and Miguel bowed.

"Julianna Lawrence from Cobra Kai Karate?" Julianna smiled, bowing as the audience cheered but only hearing Lexi and Hawk scream her name from their line from how loud they were.

"Will it be Robby Keene, unaffiliated?" Robby bowed, turning towards Julianna. The twins gave each other a smile and a nod, silently wishing each other good luck.

"And last but certainly not least, last year's champion, fighting out of Topanga Karate, Xander Stone!" The boy walked in front of the announcer, doing a double flip, making the crowd go wild. Julianna rolled her eyes. "Show off." Johnny elbowed her in the ribs. She turned and watched as he tried to bite back his smile but shook his head no nonetheless.

Xander then took the microphone out of the man's hand. making her internally groan. "I just wanted to say, even though I love to fight, we all need to fight together against hatred... And as I look around this arena, I pray for every race, religion and gender that we can all live together in peace. Please join me in a moment of silence as we strive to end intolerance in our time."

Everyone looked down to give a moment of silence as Johnny leaned over to Julianna. "Kick that little bitch in the face." Julianna slightly nodded her head. "Hell yeah." She fist bumped her dad and the moment of silence was over. Julianna was going up against Xander in the middle of the stage.

The two had already gone through two rounds and were now tied. The next one to win gets sent to the finals. As soon as the round started, Julianna noticed how Xander was only using his legs to fight. Kicking her instead of punching her. She waited for the right moment and when he sent a kick to her head, she ducked down and swooped her leg across his one leg holding him up and he fell to the ground. Julianna jumped up, throwing her arms in the air.

She was making it to the finals.

Next was Miguel and Robby. Right in the first round, Robby had won and Miguel was angry. Miguel was more ruthless during the second round and had won from kicking Robby in the shoulder. When the third round started, everyone could tell Robby's shoulder was badly injured and Miguel used that as an advantage. He kicked, punched and jabbed Robby's shoulder whenever he could but somehow, Robby had still won, sweeping Miguel's legs like Julianna did with Xander.

"This is it, folks! The moment we've all been waiting for. The final match to determine who will be victor and champion. Will it be Julianna Lawrence from Cobra Kai Karate?" Julianna smiled, watching Demetri and Moon practically jump out of their seats to applaud her.

"Or will it be Robby Keene, unaffili-" The man was cut off by a woman running up to him, whispering something in his ear. "Daniel LaRusso's gonna coach?" The man asked, his mic picking up on the words. The girl walked away and the announcer turned back to the audience. "Daniel LaRusso is gonna coach!"

"I'm sorry folks, there's been a change. Robby Keene will now be fighting foe Miyagi-Do Karate with former champion Daniel LaRusso as his Sensei!"

Julianna looked towards her father worriedly. All she wanted was for the Lawrence name on the All Valley's champion titles but now that might be taken away again by Daniel LaRusso just like he had back in 1984. Johnny pat Julianna's back softly, she knew he wouldn't give her any 'kick his ass' or 'knock that bitch out' talk considering she was fighting against her brother but from behind her she could hear her team cheer her on.

"Let's go, no mercy, Jules!" She could hear Aisha and Bert scream.

Then she heard Miguel. "Take him down!"

Then Lexi. "Show them who's boss!"

But then she heard Hawk. "You got it, babe!"

Babe. Babe. Julianna froze at the name. Sure they had become boyfriend and girlfriend the night before but she hadn't even told her dad yet. Johnny quickly side eyed her with raised brows and a smirk on his face, making her laugh. She took one more deep breath before walking onto the stage across her brother.

"Face me. Bow." Robby and Julianna bowed to the referee before bowing to each other.

"Ready to lose against your sister?" Julianna asked with a hum and Robby smirked. "I'm gonna beat you, little sister." Julianna scoffed, getting into a fighting position as she rolled her eyes. "By 12 minutes." Robby's smirk grew bigger as he shrugged. "Still counts."

"Hey, but seriously. No hard feelings though if I kick your ass, right?" Julianna innocently asked. "Depends how hard you hit me."

With that, the referee blew his whistle and Julianna went running to her brother, throwing punches and kicks but he blocked every single one. She noticed he was mainly guarding his upper half so in one quick movement, she swooped his feet, making him fall. "Point! Lawrence and Cobra Kai get the first point."

Julianna smiled a little bit and reached her arm out to help Robby up, making sure she stuck out her right hand so he wouldn't have to use his bad one. Robby looked back and forth between his bad arm and Julianna before hesitantly taking her hand and she pulled him up. "Hey, I'm not gonna mess up your arm more than it already is. I'll watch out. Trust me."

Robby looked at her in shock, nodding his head and the two got back into fighting positions. When the referee blew his whistle again, Julianna realized Robby wasn't gonna go to her. He was playing defense. Julianna grumbled a few curse words under her breath before walking up to him.

She sent punches, jabs and kicks his way and he started throwing some as well, realizing she wasn't gonna go for his shoulder and he didn't need to protect it so much. The two went back and forth before Robby spun around, kicking her in the stomach.

Julianna fell back onto the mat, letting out a shaky groan as she grasped her stomach. "Point! Robby and Miyagi-Do Karate." The referee screamed when Robby stood above her, holding out his hand. Julianna looked up at him and smiled, letting out a breathy laugh. "You ass."

Robby pulled her up and the two nodded and went back to their spots on the stage in their fighting positions. The next point one the whole competition. "May the best twin win." Robby mumbled so only she could hear.

At the start of the whistle, both teens went running to each other. Robby went to throw a punch at her face and she ducked. Julianna tried to swoop his legs but he jumped away, she just barely missed him. Julianna kicked him in the stomach and Robby started to fall but he caught himself on his good hand before kicking her with both of his feet.

Julianna stumbled backwards from the kick and when she started falling towards the ground, she knew she had to think fast so she could win. She did a backwards somersault to catch herself. She could hear Cobra Kai cheer at the fact that the referee allowed it as she heard Daniel yelling that it didn't count.

Robby stared at her with a big smile. It almost reminded Julianna of a proud brotherly smile, making her a little happier. Noticing he was distracted, she swiftly jumped up and tried to kick him in the stomach but he blocked her just in time. He went to sweep her legs, a move they both seemed to repeat so Julianna noticed it, jumping over his legs and lifting her leg up as she jumped, kicking him in the chest.

And just like that, Robby fell to the ground.

And Julianna had won the tournament.

Julianna froze in shock as she heard the announcer's words. "We have a winner!" She felt all the Cobra Kai students run up to her, pouncing her into a group hug. The only people she could see in front of her and reach was Aisha and Lexi who she immediately hugged back. "You did it!" Lexi squealed, hugging onto Julianna tight.

"Who saw that coming? I know I didn't!" The announcer screamed and Julianna furrowed her brows at his backhanded compliment before she felt someone grab her waist from behind and turn her around and she felt someone's lips meet hers. She smiled as she kissed Hawk back and he suddenly pulled away and turned around so his back was against her chest.

She felt someone grab her waist and lift her up. She turned around and saw Miguel lifting her before setting her on Hawks back for a piggyback ride. She held on tight around his neck, careful not to choke him as she rested her head in the crook of his neck and he leaned his head into hers. "You did great out there." He mumbled, turning his head slightly to kiss her temple, making her blush and hug into him more.

"Without further ado, let me present the trophy to this year's new champion, Julianna Lawrence and the Cobra Kai dojo!" The announcer screamed, handing Julianna the trophy that she instantly rose in the air. "Do you have anything you want to say to the people here, kiddo?" Julianna softly nodded and the man passed her the mic.

"I just want to thank Sensei Lawrence for everything! I wanna thank my friends, in or out of Cobra Kai!" Julianna smiled, turning to Cobra Kai and then to Demetri and Moon in the audience. "And I wanna thank my family!" Julianna looked at Robby, giving him a small smile that the boy returned before Hawk readjusted her on his back, clearing his throat as if he wanted a special thanks. Julianna smiled, playfully rolling her eyes and bringing the mic back to her mouth.

"And I'd like to thank my amazing boyfriend! And Cobra Kai for life!" She yelled, placing a quick kiss on Hawks cheek as the boy cheered, making the audience and Cobra Kai laugh. Everyone started chanting for Julianna as Moon and Demetri came over to congratulate her. Julianna shimmied off of Hawk's back and ran into a group hug with Moon and Lexi.

"You guys did so good out there!" Moon cheered and Julianna held on tighter to her new friend. "Thank you for coming. It means a lot to us." Julianna mumbled and she could feel Moon hug her tighter. "Of course."

When they pulled away, Demetri stood there with a huge smile and his arms out for a hug. Julianna chuckled, hugging Demetri. "There she is! Champion!" Demetri pulled away and shuffled on his feet as he looked to Lexi. "Can I uh... Can I have a hug?"

She looked at him for a few seconds before smiling softly, walking over to him and wrapping her arms around his waist, stuffing her face into his chest. Julianna and Moon smiled, fist bumping as Demetri rested his head on Lexi in the hug. "You did great, Lex."

Lexi smiled at Demetri, hugging him a little tighter before pulling away and standing by Julianna. Demetri stared at Lexi, a faint smile plastered on his lips before he shook his head and cleared his throat as if he was coming back from his own little world.

"Listen. I'm reconsidering joining Cobra Kai. I'm still not into the idea of getting hit in the face and all but I respect the safety-in-numbers aspect of joining a gang." Julianna looked at him with a confused expression. "Are you saying you want to join Cobra Kai or a gang?" Demetri went over his words in his head. "That didn't come out right." The group all laughed and Hawk wrapped an arm around Demetri and Julianna. "It's okay. Now let's all celebrate!"

Julianna cheered, throwing her arm with the trophy in the air again before they all walked out of the arena. She got what she wanted, her friends, the All Valley and her boyfriend.

As they walked towards Lexi's car, Julianna felt her phone vibrate, it was a text from Robby.

Congrats on winning! I'm proud of you :)

Julianna smiled at the text, putting her phone back in her pocket.

Looks like she still had her brother too.
