Just for your info, in this one Peter has a scholarship to Midtown cause he and May are struggling.
Woooooot

Peter plopped down in his seat next to Ned.

"Hey man, how are you?"

Peter raised his eyebrows tiredly. "I'm so dead, man. I came back home at 3 last night and then I had to finish the Spanish homewo-" Peter froze. "No. No no nononononono. I forgot the homework! This is bad! This is really bad!"

"Dude, what's the worst that could happen? You get detention, right?"

Ned didn't know that Peter had a scholarship. Peter had skipped so many days already and had several detentions and he was scared that one more might end up with him...

"Hey," Betty whispered to MJ. "Apparently someone here has a scholarship."

Nonononononononono. No one can find out.

Everyone knew that Peter wasn't the richest kid around. They didn't realise that he was so low finacial-wise that he couldn't even afford to go to school without extra help.

The teacher walked into the room, dragging Peter's room behind her. "Hola! I hope you all remembered your homework!"

Peter dropped his head on his arms.

"Dude, you'll be fine."

"Peter? Are you ok?"

Peter lifted his head and nodded, biting the inside of his lip. "I... I stayed up really late doing it last night and so I... I forgot to put it in my bag."

The teacher tsked slightly. "That's going to be a detention, Mr Parker. What happened? You've never been this tardy."

"I know, I know, I just... have a lot... going on."

The teacher sighed and began her lesson, allowing Peter's stomach to dig a deep pit that threatened to eat him whole.

His sigh was full of relief and dread when the bell rang. The teen slowly packed his bag and stood up sowly.

"Peter, please wait behind."

Peter dropped his head in shame.

Why didn't I put it in my bag when I finished?

"Peter, what happened? This is the third time this month."

Peter looked down at her shoes. "I'm sorry, I've just been really busy lately and I promise I did it, I just forgot to put it in my bag because u was so tired and and I slept in and I'm rambling again. I'm sorry."

The teacher nodded slowly. "Ok, but let this detention be your lesson, ok?"

Peter nodded solemnly. "Yes ma'am."

"Good. Now, go and have lunch."

Peter walked out of the door, keeping his eyes on the ground to avoid stares. He was almost at the cafeteria when his doom arrived.

"Mr Parker, can I see you in my office?"

Peter closed his eyes in dread. "Yes sir."

He followed the principal back to the office of peril and sat down on the chair.

"Now, Peter. " Principal Morita straightened the papers on his desk. "I understand that this is your seventh detention?"

"Yes sir." The answer was almost inaudible.

"And you do know how this affects your scholarship?"

Peter swallowed, forcing back the tears. "Yes sir."

"I don't want to do this, but I'm going to have to consider taking away the scholarship."

Peter's head shot up, tears brimming in his chocolate eyes. "No, please don't sir. I promise it won't happen again. Please."

Morita sighed. "You've had your chances Peter."

"Please, sir." Peter nearly stood up. "I need this scholarship. I... we can't afford schooling without it."

"Maybe that should have been on your mind when you earned the detention."

"I did it! I did the homework! I just- I left it on my desk because I finished it at 4 o'clock last night."

"Why were you up so late?"

"I had... my job." Peter looked down at his hands.

"What is more important to you Peter: your job or your education?"

The boy wiped at his eyes. "I... I don't know. I need my education so I can get a good job when I'm older, but I need the job so I can afford food everyday. If I'm going to he completely honest... I'll probably stick with my job? I learn things there anyway."

Morita frowned. This did not seem like the Peter Parker he knee. "What do you do for your job?"

"I'm an intern at Stark Industries."

"Really?" The principal sat back, not believing a word. "I heard a rumor, but apparently you're lying."

"I'm not, I'm not. I really do have the internship. You can call Mr Stark if you'd like."

"I don't have his number."

"I do."

Morita raised his eyebrows. "Really?"

Peter nodded.

"Well, call him. Tell him about our conversation."

Peter scratched his head as he scrolled through his contacts before selecting Mr Stark. He put the phone on speaker and put it on the desk.

"Hey kid, you ok? Don't tell me your out pa-"

"Yeah Mr Stark, I'm good. I'm in school... um... I was up late last night with the internship and I forgot to put my Spanish homework in my bag, and now I'm going to loose my scholarship and I don't know how I'm gonna afford and education now."

"Mr Parker says that he'd rather choose his internship that his education."

"Oh, hello... Mr... teacher." Tony hesitated with the name. "This kid hardly even needs to go to school. He's smart as a whip and has solved bagillions of equations when I struggled so... I can see why."

The principal was lost for words.

"Also I was there when the kid did his homework, he was doing it when I was taking a break and he knows more Spanish than I do."

"Ok... thank you Mr Stark. I'm sorry to have wasted my time. Goodbye."

Peter grabbed his phone off the table.

"My many apologies Peter. You can keep the scholarship, but remember that your education is important."

Peter exhaled as he fell back into the chair. "Thank you so much sir. You have no idea how much this means to me."

Peter said goodbye and walked out the door, only to run into Flash.

Oh shoot.

"So," he said, walking up to Peter. "Puny Parker is so poor that he has to get a scholarship. And you nearly lost it? What would you have done then?"

Peter was done. "I would have walked over to Mr Stark's, tell him what happened and continued interning for him."

Flash snorted. "Please. Like you could ever do that."

Peter rolled his eyes and kept walking.

"If I were you, I'd go join your parents. Shoot yourself in the head or something."

"OK, YOU ARE GOING TO PAY FOR THAT YOU LITTLE-"

The boysvstared at Peter's pocket. Peter pulled out his phone and groaned.

The call was still going.

"Mr Stark? It's ok."

Tony cursed. "HE LITERALLY TOLD YOU TO GO AND DIE AND YOU THINK ITS OK!? PETER BENJAMIN PARKER YOU TAKE THAT BACK RIGHT NOW!!!"

"Mr Stark... Mr Stark! TONY!"

Tony stopped. "Oh my gosh. You called me Tony. GUYS! UNDEROOS FINALLY CALLED ME TONY!"

Flash just stared. "What the heck? Parker?"

"If I were you, I'd run. Nat and Bucky can get pretty murderous when it c comes to people being mean."

Flash nodded and bolted.

"Look, guys? I'm at school, so I need to go now. Pizza night tonight?"

"You got it. See you kid."

"Bye dad." Peter hung up the phone. And dropped it.

Oh my gosh.

He had just called Tony dad.

Curse you, Parker Luck TM.

The teen turned around and made his way back to the cafeteria.

"Peter! Oh there you are. What are the chances?"

Peter blinked. "May? What are you doing here?"

May looked at him, confused. "You left your homework on your desk."

Peter let his head fall back. "May, you're a lifesaver."

May tensed a little as Peter hugged her. "You've saved more lives than me, buddy."
