I reached home at the earliest and discovered my parents packing up my luggage.

"Are we going for some vacation? But u didnt inform me? Or else I could have done it myself" I chipped

"U r getting wrong dear. We r going to Vishakhapatnam to drop u there for your higher secondary"

The world around me turned topsy turvy. Did I hear that? I was beyond shocked

"But weren't I suppose to study in my own school? U have fill up the admission form too dad" I needed explanation

"Yes Sona but that school is not good for u or your future. Do u remember about the online test u appeared one month back? U got selected for the boarding school!! I have always known that u r very talented" my parents were so excited

"But dad, u told me that it was just for practice of board exm? "

"Ur Uncle and Aunt suggested me and they provided me all the informations. U have to report by tomorrow and we got to know this today after ur uncle told"

"What the fuck! Don't u think u should ask me first? "

"Mind your tongue Sona. Is this the way u talk to ur father? " my mom scolded

"Who told u to do this to ur daughter?" tears rolled down my cheeks

"It's for ur good dear. U get the best opportunity" dad told me

"What about me? My happiness? my friends?" I was literally crying

"Its high time Sona that u forget about ur friends and concentrate on ur career. U ll get many friends on your way but they r not everything in life"

"May be they are not everything dad, but they are something in my life. I cant leave them" I screamed

"behave yourself. You are going there and its my final decision. Get ready and you have to leave in an hour for airport"

I ran to my room immediately and locked the door. I cried and cried and cried.

"I cant leave any of my friends and specially Rehaan."

knock knock..

"Sona, open the door" mom was there

I went and opened the door reluctantly. She came and sat on the bed near me.

"See dear, whatever we r doing, its for your future good. We r not ur enemies Sona. Dont u think we wont miss u? It was a tough decision but when ur uncle and Aunt explained us the advantages, we just could not resist." she tried to console me

"But mom, what about Rehaan? and my other friends?"

"See, its a matter of only 2 years. After that, you will meet all your friends and Rehaan too."

"Promise Mom?" 

"Yes my love, we will inform him about your departure. Dont say anything to him now or else he will be sad. Ok?"

I nodded and she left the room. I dialed his no and he picked it up after 3 rings

"Rehaan.." 

"What happened fatso?" 

I cried even more. I ll really miss him and his calling me fatso.

"Are u crying Sona?" he asked. I should not let him know anything

"No. I just called u to inform that I have reached home."

"Thats great. Tomorrow there is a party at my house. Come over" he told

"I cant. Actually, I m going on a holiday with my parents today"

"U didn't tell me before" he questioned

"It was a surprise for me. I got to know now only"

"You are so lucky Sona.. We will catch up after u come." he said. Who will tell him that right now, I m the unluckiest person on the universe.

"Ya. Byee. I will miss you all. HAPPY BIRTHDAY in advance" I said and hung the call. I could not believed that I lied to my best friend who never fails to entertain me, support me, care for me.. I m no less than a bitch

I looked up to Rehaan and in no time, he pulled me into a bone crushing hug.

"All these years, I thought that u willingly left everybody and chose your career over us. But now, I got to know everything. I m so sorry to misunderstand u and not trust my best friend."

"It was my fault too Rehaan. I should have told u before leaving instead I lied." 

"No. It was not ur fault, ur relatives and specially ur jealous cousin did all this to separate us"

FLASHBACK (REHAAN'S POV)

I have been calling Sona from last one week but no response. Whenever I call her parents, they used to say that she is not with them now and as soon as she comes, they will inform her about my call. I sensed that there is something wrong and hidden from me. even Aunty is behaving so weird on the phone. I ll have to go to her house after she comes from holiday.

"Rehaan, when will Sona come? Your birthday party is pending" Priya asked me. An unexpected thing happened, she didn't wish me on my birthday. I waited for the whole day to listen to her voice but she didn't call. 

I dialed her cousin, Tanya's no who is also my friend.

"Hey Rehaan.. U have called me after so long" she chipped. I never really liked her and she was completely opposite to Sona but at this point, I had no other option left.

"If it was not important then I would not have bothered to call u Tanya" I replied rudely

"I know ur reason to call me"

She knew it. This means that my assumption was correct. There is something which I donno

"Meet me at the cafe and I will tell u about Sona"

I was least interested in having a coffee with her but I have to know about Sona.
