*Serene's POV*

Shadow stared at me angrily. I knew why he was mad about me still being alive. I had a plan on how to set Anna, Misty and Jay free from whatever Shadow did to them. The only problem the others weren't going to like this plan one bit.

"Shadow, I have a proposal for you." I spoke.

"Oh do you?" he asked.

"Serene, what do you mean?" Lloyd asked.

I sighed.

"Take me as your captive and turn the others good."

Shadow smirked at the offer, while the three evil ninja looked at each other. I faced the others who looked at me sadly. I could tell they were worried about me, but that didn't matter now all that mattered was keeping them safe.

"I accept your offer."

Shadow then gave Anna, Misty and Jay each a shot and their eyes turned from red back to their original color.

"Huh?" moaned Jay.

"What happened?" asked Misty.

"My head hurts," Anna complained.

Shadow then made chains out of darkness and hooked them onto my hands, neck, and legs. I looked at my friends one last time before darkness surrounded Shadow and I.

This wasn't life any more.

It. Was. Survival.

The question was would I be able to get back to my friends?

I was no longer free like them.

I. Was. A. Captive.
