Shehnaaz barged into Sidharth's office angrily. What does this guy even think of himself? She was so mad at him!
She was already mad at her parents for not leaving her any choice but to get married. So she had called him up directly to talk and to let him know that she was being pushed to marry him. His response was something she wasn't expecting at all, he had asked who she was?

She didn't even bother calling or contacting him again until the next day she heard there was a gift for her from the Chopra family. Upon receiving it, she found out it was a diamond ring and letter, expecting her to carry this ring with here on her finger to make it official that the Dhillon's and Chopra's merger was taking place after their kids got engaged in a very discreet manner.

"Hey, it's Shehnaaz this side. We really need to talk " she had urgently mentioned.

"I'm sorry who?" Those were his first words.

"Wha-? Shehnaaz Kaur Dhillon! You're about to get married to me!!!" She replied, getting angry with his attitude.

"Yeah, right. I didn't get the name earlier. Go on." He said.

"I said we need to talk. This is so not how I wanted to get married! My father announced the alliance in front of the media like anything. I've been explaining it to him since day one but he isn't even paying any heed. I cannot do this okay, I need to talk to you. We need to-" she kept on saying when he intervened.

"Hey. Hang on! You cannot back off now. Everything's decided." He replied.

"What? You're willing to marry me? Do you even know me?  Are you serious! Aren't you the city's most eligible bachelor? Why would you wanna do something like-" she was all questions when he intervened again.

"Like I said, it's all decided. We're getting married on the 20th of the next month." He told her and dropped the bomb.

"What? Next month? Who decided that? Why was I not informed? This is my life, nobody's gonna get away with it. Sidharth, why in the first place do you wanna get married to me?" She replied, hyperventilating. He could hear her panicking on the other side.

"Listen, it was nice talking to you. But  I've an important meeting to attend. Okay." He mentioned before hanging up. That's when she lost it.

"Tumhara boss kaha milega?" She asked at the reception.

Instead of answering her question, the receptionist checked her out. Well, she was impressed with the class and elegance the guest lady carried. She looked at the expensively formal attire, light blue crisp shirt tucked neatly under black pants. Must be the boss's close acquaintances, the receptionist thought.

"I asked you something!" Shehnaaz raised her voice, irritated.

"Yes mam, do you have an appointment? If not you could-" the receptionist was going to guide her through the procedures to book an appointment when the guest lady suddenly slammed her hand on her desk.

"I'm his fucking fiance!" Shehnaaz said.

"18th floor mam!" There came the answer.

It didn't take Shehnaaz long to find the elevator and eye the guard to take her to the designated floor to their boss.

"What the fuck is this?" She stormed into his cabin, startling a couple of employees he was working with.

"Excuse us for a moment everybody." Sidharth immediately dismissed the rest of the people and glared at her for her audacity.

"What do you want?" He asked, once it was just them.

"Oh, pehchan gaye mujhe? I was actually planning to introduce myself again otherwise." She mocked, walked across the table and made sure she didn't break the eye contact.

"Shehnaaz, what do you want?" He repeated himself with a plain face.

"This?" Showing the back of her palm, the diamond ring on her ring finger.

"The heck is this? Tumse uss din baat ki maine aur aaj yeh ring aa jati hai mere ghar!? We didn't even meet properly and we're engaged, just like that!" She was so mad at him.

"I told you everything's already decided. Aur yeh engagement wala idea tumhare baap ka tha!" He replied.

"Acha? Toh kaha hai tumhari ring? And first of all tell me, what is so good in my father's business jo tum aankh band karke mujhse shaadi karne ko tayyar ho?" She asked.

In response, he pulled out a small blue velvet box from one of his table's cabinet and placed it on the table. There it was, his engagement ring.

"Answering your question, tumhe kaise nahi pata tumhare baap ne itne paise uthaye hai market se jo wo lauta bhi nahi pa raha hai. And I'm his only way out." He replied.

"Isse tumhe kya faida ho raha hai? Bhaad me jane do mere baap ki company!" She asked again.

"Shares, 40% shares." He shrugged, playing with his engagement ring.

"Oh really? Karze me doobi company ke shares leke tum kyu mahan banne chale ho? You think you're the only one smart here? Tumhare dost ki chori ke kisse maine bhi sune hai. You're doing this to cover up the blunder that might ruin your company's reputation!" She replied with a smirk to let him know that she did her homework.

After running a background check, she found out that a very reliable manager and a friend of him had stolen a few important files from another company to finish one of their consignments that caused the Chopra's a lot of damage, their reputation and well as a few clients had backed off to that one friend's theft.
She smiled even more after watching his face lose all its charm, he was getting angry. She liked it when he didn't have anything to reply with.

"Dekho, apni image sudharni hai toh kahi aur ja ke sudharo. I am not going to get married! Bhaag jaungi ma!" She clearly warned him.

"You very well know what the consequences could be!" He warned her back.

"Like I said, I don't care whatever you do to my father!" She shrugged.

"Not only will I file a case against him for the treachery. I will get you too! You're on my list as well." He smiled, answering.

"What do I have to do with all this?" She asked, bewildered.

"You're wearing the ring we gave you! You've introduced yourself as my fiance in front of people, the way you barged into my office and cussed! I'll book you against defamation, the moment the engagement breaks." He replied, even though the claims were not as strong as treachery but she knew he would do it and make it unnecessarily ugly. She had herself walked into danger like that, she could be officially booked.

"Definitely wouldn't be good for your company's image, Ardaas, haina?" He added, adding for more to her fury. How could he not run a background check on her? He knew she owned an even management company that was all her. She started the company three years ago after raising funds and gathering investors.

"Youuuu!!!! Chahiye kya tumhe?!" She asked, frustrated.

"That's more like my fiance! Be nice and behave! There's nothing more I could ask from you in this relationship. And of course, get married." He sweetly answered, smiling.

"I don't even know you!" She retorted, fearing how it would be to marry an arrogant stranger, also she didn't want to end up like her mother.

"The name's Sidharth Chopra! We'll it's about to be your surname soon. And don't worry, we'll get to know each other once we get-" he was being so cocky that she wanted to smack his head out of his body.

"I've a boyfriend and I intend to marry him. I love him." She told him, interrupting him and for a moment found his eyes looking at her with surprise before he masked it up.

"You'll have to let him go. Or you know the consequences." He shrugged, grabbing the ring box and keeping it back from where he pulled it out.

"So there's no way out? Sidharth, I cannot do this. There are so many out there you can marry!" She tried convincing him.

"You know, I left an important meeting in the middle of the day to attend you but I don't have all day." He said, gesturing to her to make her way out.

"God!" She was planning, he would agree the moment she would mention a boyfriend. But he seemed to be a pretty clever businessman.

"Anything else?" He asked, irritated.

"Yeah, prenup! Mai prenup banwa ke bhejungi." She told him.

"Don't bother yourself, I'm on it." He replied, as if she reminded him about the same so began to dial someone's number and asked them to get the papers ready as soon as possible.

"I wanna read the draft! And see if there's something I can add." She interrupted him, he glared at her for doing that but asked the other person to get him a copy of the drafts.

She was really distressed, asking him about the prenup definitely meant she was ready to get married to him and she hated it. This was not how she wanted getting married, without love, without any kind of commitment and effort.

On the other hand, what made her agree was the amount of money she'd marry into. Marrying this business tycoon who's worth more than a 1 billion was going to help her event management company 'Ardas' elevate to another level. Though her father was a greedy businessman, this was one of the most basic things she had learnt from him- A deal's always a give and take.
