"Mam thoda left, sir aap right. Thoda aur, nahi mam aap nahi. Sir, aap right aaiye." The cameraman's crew member made the couple pose.

Chopra empire's heir was getting married to a very known and successful businessman's daughter who was herself into business. The twitter announcements made by their PR's had the social media on fire. The public was eager to see how the arranged couple looked together because they had rarely seen Sidharth Chopra attending local events whereas his would-be wife had never been captured in the camera.

"Mam thoda close aaiyega, aur close. Lights dim!" The photoshoot was taking place right after the couple got married in the living room that was set up as per the theme of the bride and groom's outfits.

Sidharth and Shehnaaz didn't mind posing for the pictures, they knew it was just the beginning. They were doing it for the media, the public attention and fan following all the time so they had to anyway prepare themselves to trend.

His hand was wrapped around her waist while he looked at her face, as asked for a particular pose. Even though she carried a plain face with a subtle smile but it was fake, the two of them had mastery in doing that, making faces as per the other person's requirements. For another pose, he held her face and pretended to kiss her forehead. But it was getting too much now, both of them had work pending to get back to after the photoshoot rather than getting into each other's arms for a few bunch of likes and tweets.

"How long is it going to take? It's getting really hot in here." Shehnaaz's voice interrupted the cameraman. She was loaded with jewellery and long and heavy clothing material to be standing for that long.

"Ek last mam, this one's easy. Just hold each other's hand and we'll take a close up." The cameraman replied and his crew shifted the focus of the lights towards their hands intervened.

"Perfect! Done!" He announced, setting them free.

"Khayal rakhna apna! Jab mann kare tab ghar aa jana aur phone karte rehna mujhe. I'll be one phone call away, okay." Shehnaaz's mother, Parminder, was talking to her while bidding her away. Even though she knew on what grounds her daughter got married, still she wanted her to know that they weren't sending her away for the sake of the deal.

"Han Mumma, mera saman thik se rakhwa diya na? My laptop and all those papers on my desk?" Shehnaaz asked her.

"I'm serious Sana, saman important nahi hai. Tu hai. Take care of yourself and do not take anybody's shit!" Her mother told her, taking her hands in hers and calling her by the nickname she gave.

"Ha baba! Chill! I'll be fine." Shehnaaz assured.

"Why did you even do it? Meko na tera ye samajh hi nahi aaya!" Mankiran, Shehnaaz's younger sister, asked her for the n-th time. She was studying in Bangalore when she was suddenly informed about her sister's alliance and was asked to come over. She was baffled and tried her best to stop her father from doing so.

"Manu! Ho gaya na ab putt! Tu tension na le." Their mother assured her, she would have further continued if Sidharth wouldn't have arrived.

"It's time." He told them.

"I know yeh sab ek deal hai par phir bhi, ek maa hu mai.. I want my daughter to be treated like a daughter-in-law of your family, with all due respect. As much as she's a part of your family, you are a part of ours as well. You'll be treated the same way here Sidharth." Parminder had prepped herself for this since last night to talk to this guy. She wanted to sound sweet and strict at the same time to make sure they didn't mess with her daughter.

"I can assure you that." He nodded, he wasn't expecting this speech though. However, he found a girl eyeing him, the other daughter of this family he was married into. She just kept staring at him for a while before deciding to walk her sister out.

"Tu ghar kab ayegi?" Mankiran whispered into her sister's ears.

"Pehle jaane toh de!" Shehnaaz chuckled.

"Sab pehle jaise hi rahega na? You'll be fine na?" Mankiran couldn't help but wonder how much of this marriage was going to change their lives. She was just a 20 year old girl worried about her sister at the end.

"Pagal hai tu, Manu!?" Shehnaaz stopped her tracks, getting upset at the fact that her sister was getting insecure about the way things were going to be.

"Sab pehle jaise rahega, tu kabhi bhi bula lena mujhe ya phir mujhse milne aa jana. And how many times do I have to tell you that I'll be fine! Relax okay? Mai tujhe pahoch ke call karungi, thik hai." She added, taking her sister into a hug and couldn't help her own tears when Mankiran began to sob silently.

"Ab bidai, bidai jaisi lag rahi hai!" Her father, Sukhbir, stepped in and held on to his younger daughter.

"Itna mehenga make up karwaya hai, kharab ho jayega khoteya!" Shehnaaz whispered to lighten the mood, it somewhat helped as well.

"Kutti!" Mankiran replied, wiping her tears and chuckling.

Sidharth was standing right next to Parminder, watching the family smiling amongst tears and thinking whether it was for the media. Soon, the couple were on their way to Chopra mansion in his new and latest model of BMW his aunt had brought him for the special occasion. The car ride was silent until she broke the silence.

"Who's this?" She asked him, showing a file she received in her mail from an unknown person who was introducing itself as his man.

"My PR manager, those must be the wedding pictures." He answered and she nodded, caring not to download those pictures and rather letting his team do whatever they were assigned to do.

She was warmly welcomed by the rest of his family. It was just Ramya, she was told he had lost his parents in his 20s. He just had an aunt, a distant aunt who had handled and helped him in the business when he was just learning to survive in the industry. She was also told his aunt was cunning and not someone she should mess with because she had Sidharth by her side who was indebted to her for looking after him after his parents passed away in an unfortunate accident.

"You're a Chopra now. Bahu ho iss ghar ki, kal ke reception me dikhna chahiye kitne naaz se rakhenge hum tumhe." Ramya, Sidharth's aunt, gifted Shehnaaz a vintage diamond necklace along with a complete set of clothes and all the accessories she'd wear at her wedding reception.

"Saman hu, jo rakhenge?" Shehnaaz scoffed mentally yet she smiled, accepting the gift. It was a choker set of centenary diamonds, oh that's quite expensive, she smirked. But it wasn't new for her, her mother wore such ornaments all the time.

"Remember, behave." Ramya interrupted Shehnaaz's thoughts, warning her before she could take her leave, the girl nodded nonetheless.

Ramya asked one of the househelps to guide the bride to her room, excusing herself from the scene. Shehnaaz handed her jewelry box to the maid and sighed, following her through the long corridors.

She reached a lavishly decorated room, prepared for the newly weds. Heavy ass scented candles and roses everywhere. Cliché. She ignored all of it and walked into the wardrobe to change.

"Excuse me!?" She turned back to call the maid and found out that she had left.

"Yaar! Mera luggage kyu nahi aaya abhi tak?" She asked herself, walking out and looking for the maid again.

"What are you doing here?" Sidharth asked, joining her in the corridor.

Watching her carry her bridal lehenga that surely weighed as much as she did. She looked funny with her little face and the heavy outfit without those jewelry.

"Looking for my luggage." She replied.

"Piya!" He called out for a maid.

"Sir." A timid girl was there the next minute.

"Luggage kaha hai mera? 3 bags aaye honge, dhundo aur leke aao kamre me. Shower lena hai! Change karna hai mujhe abhi!" Shehnaaz asked the maid before he could.

"Yes mam." Piya replied, running down the stairs.

"Abhi room me jaogi ya yahi khadi rahogi?" Sidharth asked her once it was the two of them.

"Kyu? Tumhe kya problem hai?" She asked back and saw him leaving.
Back into their room, she changed into her comfortable nightwear and slipped into the bed when she didn't find him in the room. She exchanged a few words with her sister over the phone and assured her again that she was alright. She dozed off soon, having too much for the day.

Sidharth had changed and went to his study, the mere thought of sharing his room was unsettling suddenly. Even though he knew he was getting married and it meant a huge change in his life, he was now realizing that he didn't think it through. He was so used to being all by himself that sharing his personal and private space with her seemed difficult. He couldn't sleep and her soft snores weren't helping either.

However, he couldn't ignore the fact that she looked good today. Her dress, the bridal clothing could make anyone look great but she looked so different today. Apart from her look, her eyes weren't the same sassy and difficult one's he had seen when she visited him in the office. Maybe it was because she had left her home behind today, well not entirely but moving in him could be a big deal for her as well after all she hardly knew him.

"This is not how I wanted to get married!" Her words rang inside his head.
