"Master? What's wrong?" Hokori asked the person on the screen with curiosity.

"It appears to be that the plan has failed. The Chiem have been assasinated."

"Oh no. I should have never trusted them with that job." Hokori groaned.

"Do not fret, my child. We still have time to set the world in despair."

"I know, Master. I know. Shall we get new members?"

"Yes. Start recruiting more scientists and guards. People who will fight for despair."

"Xander, Ace, can you please explain what the fuck we just experienced?!" Arei questioned, demanding answers. Not just her, though. Almost everyone in the room was just as confused and worried about this whole situation. Thankfully, Ace had guided the class to a location without cameras so they could talk without getting spied on.

"Yeah, we... have a lot to explain..." Xander chuckled nervously, sweat rolling down his face.

"How about you start from the beginning?" Hu Jing suggested "And... tell us everything. You are our friends. Our classmates. And we want to help you." she told them, sure of her words.

"As long as it's not physically, though. I do not have enough stamina to fight like you do." Rose added.

"Rose, you don't say that." Levi sweatdropped.

"No, it's fine..." Ace sighed, looking at Xander. He held her hand with an assuring smile. She nodded.

"Ms. Teruko and Mr. David already know this, but both me and Ace are members of Kasugano." Xander started "We are vigilantes who protect Japan and are preventing a terrible event from happening."

"A terrible event?" Whit asked.

"Wait yeah, I think we didn't get told this, you only told us that you were apart of Kasugano." Teruko recalled, confused.

"We're trying to avoid The Biggest, Most Awful, Most Tragic Even in Human History, an event so despair-inducing the whole world became ruins." Ace answered "The world was drowned in chaos, violence, death... And all because of the Kamukura Project and Junko Enoshima."

"Junko Enoshima?! The girl who got arrested?!" Whit questioned, shocked.

"Yes. If it wasn't for us, she would have wiped off the Student Council with the help of Izuru Kamukura." Xander nodded. Of course, they hadn't been able to stop the Kamukura Project, but they had saved the student council from their doom, and that was a win in their books. Izuru was not revealed to the public, and they kept him safe.

"Holy shit..." J mumbled, shocked.

"Now, the main problem, you saw during Halloween. There is a group that is trying to continue Junko's plan. Zetsubou." Ace stated.

"David, I'm... really sorry to tell you this, but... Your parents. They were part of Zetsubou." Xander told David. He didn't want to make David upset, but he had to tell him the truth. Teruko looked at David with worry.

"Hey, David? Are you okay?" she asked. The inspirational speaker let out a shaky breath, forcing a smile on his face.

"It's fine..." he assured her.

"...Can we help?" Levi asked. Ace and Xander perked up at that, both ñf them had serious faces.

"Absolutely not." Ace answered "I'm not going to let yourselves get in this fight. Xander and I got in this bullshit, we are not going to involve you guys in this."

"But-"

"No buts." Xander interrupted "We're not gonna let you guys in this."

"..."

There was a tense, thin silence. Both Ace and Xander were staring daggers at the others. They couldn't risk them dying. Yashiro died, Shiro and Ikari were now on the run, and they've witnessed many bodies. Many deaths.

Deaths that they either caused or witnessed.

"I don't think Levi meant physically." Rose spoke up, gaining everyone's attention "He is one of the first people to not condone violence. I think he meant it a different way."

"A... different way?" Eden asked.

"I think he meant if we could help you with taking down Zetsubou from the inside."
