My skin was burning, my head felt like it was being split in half, and I thought I was about to go insane. To be honest, I think that if I told anyone this story, they'd really think I was insane.

I collapsed onto the ground, hearing the distant shouts of the two men. Then I passed out.

"(Y/n) please, wake up!" I heard Mark yell, shaking me slightly. My head pounded, but I slowly grabbed his hand. Mark hugged me tightly, and I swear he nearly broke one of my ribs with the embrace.

"What... What happened?" I asked, sitting up. Thankfully, all the pain had subsided by now. "Why did I hurt, why did I black out?" I questioned, shocked with how... Positive... I was about the situation.

"There was a little mishap that Fangs over there needs to fix." He shot a sharp glance at the other man. "You'll be fine baby, I promise." Mark said, placing a sweet kiss on my lips.

"Bleugh. Stop sharing spit, you creeps." The other guy said in a deep voice, that had a strange echo effect to it. He kept glancing over and looking away. He had pale, almost grey skin, fangs, and dark rings around his black eyes that bore into your very soul. (That last part were his words, not mine.)

"Shut up Dark." Mark snapped at him.

"What'd I do? You act like I did something wrong. All I did was-" Dark started, but was suddenly cut off by another voice, female, and it had the same echo as Dark's.

"Can someone please explain why there's another me sitting by that guy?" The voice demanded.

I looked over and immediately fainted.

"(Y/n) can you hear me?" Mark asked, waving a hand in front of my face as I came back to reality.

"Yeah. But can you please tell me WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?!" I screamed at him. Oddly enough, it wasn't out of fear, it was out of curiosity.

Mark looked over at Dark, who was scribbling away in a notebook with a skull on it.

Dark must've known Mark was looking at him, because his head shot up and slowly closed his notebook.

"There was this thing, and I thought it could fix it, and then I did, and that happened." Dark explained, gesturing to the other me sitting in the corner of the room.

Well, sort of other me. She had pure black shaggy hair, the same grayish skin as Dark, black eyes, pointed teeth and dark rings around her eyes. She was basically me, but not me. Think of it as myself cosplaying as a female Dark REALLY WELL.

"A little more detail would be helpful." Mark hissed at Dark.

"The same way as us, bro. I was on my favorite dark poem site, and that same thing was there and..."

"You didn't..."

"Sorry. But-" Dark drew out the word "Now there's one for each of us so... Problem solved right? No big deal?" He shrugged and opened his notebook again, acting like nothing weird was going on.

"You fricken moron! You know what he did was an accident! Don't put this on her too!" Mark screamed. The dark entity was completely unfazed.

"She seems happy about it." Dark said, pointing at the shadowy version of me, who was admiring her long, pointed fingernails.

I looked away from the strange doppelgänger and focused back on the debate between the two men. Mark was fuming, and Dark was completely content.

"Get. Out." Mark snarled at Dark.

Dark rolled his eyes and walked to Mark's bedroom, stepped in the closet, and shut the door.

"You guys suck!" He yelled, his voice muffled by the closet doors.

Mark ruffled his hair, and I pulled his hand away and held it to my chest.

"Mark, I'm sure everything is going to work out fine. He's Dark, trouble is going to happen. Stay calm sweetie." I said, running my hand down his face. I could feel his muscles relax as he calmed down.

"Fine." He sighed. "You just go and get to know... That." He jerked his head towards the other girl in the apartment. "I'll talk to Dark."

"Ha! Good luck."
