Hello there my children!

Back again with writing a chapter directly after finishing a piece lmao.... so yeah!
This time around Ima introduce you to a new OC of mine.

I quite literally came up with him yesterday at about 11pm, so everything here is still very new and may or may not change, since he's only a side character.
Either way, after this dude appeared in my dream, I quickly had to jot down some small informations and the palette I had in mind, so here are those:

Essentially.... welp... idk if you are all too familiar with kpop, but I've recently been listening to a bit more of it, especially the older stuff from BTS and a few songs from Augst-D since I really like that kickass, hard beat and fast rapping style they've got going there.

Either way, since the music industry in Aulath is heavily inspired by Asian and partially African music, I couldn't help but put the centre of korean-ish music in Gardia and Näyhd'äcla itself. And since I was listening to some music whilst dreaming along, I just.... yeah.... so Baudhion is essentially just a fantasy k-pop idol, who grew pretty darn famous for this rather southern influenced rap-ish style......... don't judge me, I bet y'all wouldn't have known if I wouldn't have told ya!

So yeah... so I woke up today, desperately wanting to give him a face, which is why I looked up some singers and musicians on pinterest and thought, that I may as well do some pose and photo-studies with him...... (spoiler: i did one and kinda got distracted when colouring.. still wanna do more tho, so look forward to that haha)

Anyways, so I chose this photo taken of Jay Park as a ref for this one... and since Pinterest yeeted this pic at me from some wattpad fanfiction, I couldn't find out the actual source of the image and since google reverse searching it surprisingly did  absolutely nothing, I'm... yeah.... not gonna uplaod the pic haha
Just note that this pose is very much not mine and you should be good to go ^-^"

ROUGH SKETCH TIME!

I also went ahead and tried a bit of a different face angle this time around! Uh.... yeah.... didn't come across as well as I had it invisioned, since I fucked up that chin, but through the colours shading later on it got less disturbing than in the lineart >w<

Anyways, when looking through those pictures of different musicians, the vibe I wanted for Baudhion mostly was... well.... rough looking, mostly shirtless, tattoos and with a sixpack most of the times.
So that's what I essentially tried to do over here!

Haven't rlly drawn a sixpack in quite some time, so it did take a while for me to figure out and I kinda failed at the stylization thing, but again.... the colours fixed that one, hehe

(and hands are suddenly fun.... dont ask me why i kinda tried something new in my sketchbook once and ever since, hands are about as easy for me as a face)

Anyways... he does indeed look a bit creepy here and doesn't really fit the vibe I was going for, but when I then went in with the colours and they SAVED EVERYTHING. ESPECIALLY WITH THEM TATTOOS.
(piercings were already there, but i kinda forgot to turn on that layer when exporting the line wip haha)

Either way, the tattoos were a lot of fun, since we've got some tattoos in the style of the Shadowdance-Clan on his left shoulder, since that's where his mother is from and he wanted to honour his heritage through that.
And then we have his x's for every album or single he released so far, as well as them crosses under his eyes, in order to represent his slight rebellion towards society and the religion.
And last but not least we got his artists name "Fang" in it's typical stylisation on his torso..... well... I initially wanted to use avaestnian letters to spell it out, but I only turned rucina into a font atm, and my cheat sheet with the alphabet is chilling at school... which is where I am not, bc I'm ill atm :')
Anyways..... roman letters it is... maybe I'll change it later, but we'll see when we get to it..

Other than that, I had fun with his signature contact lense... i was thinking about the colour for a while, until I realised that neon green would look wack.

Remember me mentioning neon green? Yeah......... um...

So I rendered the picture in my lazier shading style (that sadly only looks minimally different to my usual shading style) and was about to call this piece done and ready, when my brain said:
"secondary light source"
and... uh.... when my brain says shit like that I'm always up for it. So I thought for a while about the colour of that secondary light source, until I remembered that neon green.....

AND NEON GREEN IT WAS!

So I went a bit ham on that green, putting it in the background and making this colour the main focal point of this small illustration >w<

Aaand... bc I like his face so much and watty makes it impossible for yall to see his contact lense, here's a close-up ^-^

And that's all I got for now!

Hope ya enjoyes the drawing, even if it's partially on the sketchier side, I definetely enjoyed myself a lot >w<
(especially when it came to that green.... good lord did i love that green)
