heyho kids!

yee.... depression hasn't been getting better lately, meaning that i kinda didn't touch wattpad at all and only uploaded stuff on my instagram ^-^"

but now i'm back with some more pretty-boytober chapters and i hope you enjoy the seven drawings i made for this week!

okie dokie...

first prompt here was "speed" and ngl... this one is probably one of my favourites >w<

so when thinking about speed and pretty boys, i was thinking about different sports. on the one hand we obviously have the motorsports, but since i didn't really fancy drawing someone with a race-car or motorcycle, i went with the more athletic option of sprinters and runners.

i initially was hella happy with that idea, and felt kinda motivated, so i looked up references to make a fullbody drawing... and that's when the pinterest-gods blessed me with pictures of parkour.

And man... inspiration and motivation struck, so i went ahead and drew a parkour runner for that day, just somehow jumping over some sort of railing ^-^

as i said... this probably is still one of my favourites so far, simply because the process was so fun (drawing things in motion is always so cool, i should def do it more often) and the result looks a lot better than i thought it would!

next up we had "shade"

was i tempted to draw a random dude with sunglasses? yes. was i also tempted to draw good 'ol slim shady? yes.

but yeah... plans got changed and youtube ended up recommending me the 10-year anniversary remix of "iron" by woodkid, which just so happened to me the character themesong of an OC of mine... why yes, they are an assassin, what made you think that?

and since i just couldn't not draw my baby ballinor/tinion/wiz that day, i went ahead and finally drew him again... man it's hella insane to see how much he has changed since i drew him the last time. i desperately gotta work on his and his twins novels again...

okie dokie... the next day i felt like absolute shit, which meant that i laid in bed, felt crap, wished i was dead and didn't draw a thing...

but for that, i returned the next day, and decided to just draw "love" and "hate" more or less at the same time. i started of with love, gathering inspiration from eros/cupid in ancient mythology and decided to go with a more modern rendition.

as main colour, i decided to go with a more pink-ish red tone, since i didn't want to use just pure red. overall, i wanted to go with a rather military-esc style, with it looking professional yet a bit more casual to actually be worn in the military.

and nobody could stop me from giving him a ton of hearts everywhere.

hate was up next. i was really close to draw a reverse-version of love, since the emotions are so similar. basically ending up with a serious sniper dude, in a more orange-red and a more aggressive appearance.

but then... well... i kinda went ahead and instead made the two of them twins. love being the chill, gay sibling who just wants to spread love, whilst hate is the more radical and rebellious lad, who hates most things around him and just wants society to be free of governments n stuff.

so i more or less just created a punk-version of my love-boy

and i made a small doodle to show their relationship in a nutshell:

having now made up for my missed day, i came back for "travel" with a fresh boost of motivation.

i instantly had a pretty clear idea of what i wanted. since i've binge-watched atla at the time, i was hella inspired by the asian flair everything had, so i knew that i wanted to draw one of my characters from the wavecall-clan. and when thinking about travels and traveling, the first thing that came to mind was a character, who's name i keep forgetting, who is a traveling merchant!

so yeah...

mah boy finally got a face :)

next up was "home" ... this is where things got a bit out of hand, since i did indeed have an idea, but didn't manage to portray it the way i wanted to.

i imagined like... this village boy, who grew up on a farm, works in the small farm-shop of his grandparents, and never left the town in his entire life. you know? a typical, homely country-boy that you see in creative products.

yeah..

i still like the idea and i maybe will revisit it, but the drawing itself... nah man...

but i guess that's just part of the challenge... not everything can be a masterpiece and sometimes you just create stuff that you don't like.

either way, after that i felt real bad for a whole while, missing three prompts. so as soon as i felt a bit better, i went ahead and tried to catch up, starting with the next prompt: "flight"

ever since the prompts were released, i knew exactly that i wanted to draw my boy charles for this one. remember? half-blind, air-force dude, who i made through that collab-thingy a while back?

so that's precisely what i did! not a lot of planning or thinking required, just a pretty straightforward drawing of my boy.

and that's all i got for week number 2!

even though it's quite a mess of a chapter, i hope you at least liked the drawings that it contains. in general i never thought i'd make it this far into the challenge... ngl i never made it past the third day usually, so even though i was behind for some days, i am motivated to pull through the whole thing :)
