Running through the forest was a dark-skinned girl around sixteen. Her hair was jet-black as her eyes were a hazelnut brown shade.

"Come out, Professor," said a tenderingly voice a few miles away from the girl.

Wearing a scientist coat, the girl tried to escape this forest. Encountering dead ends, the girl finally stopped.

"There's no escape, Snowflake!"

The girl knew that nickname at once. It was given to her by her boss... Bill Cipher. The girl growled under her breath.

Before she could do anything though, her boss's daughter found her. "Aw! Professor Jones was trying to hide from us!" an older girl exclaimed as her smile grew.

"Good job, Katherine!" exclaimed her boss as Professor Jones attempted to escape. However, Katherine was faster as she placed yellow ropes over her.

Struggling to break free, she watched as Bill casted a spell over her.

"No!"

Waking up at once, a small yellow-like kwami stared at her surroundings. The blank space was all she had.

Trapped inside this necklace forced to serve anyone who wields this necklace. Growling, she tried to break out.

However, she knew that it was pointless. She had tried multiple times before.

Sighing, the kwami waited until she would be freed from the insides of this necklace. Her wish was that she would become human again.

However, the kwami doubted that it would come true.

Arriving home that following day, Janis opened her apartment door as she looked up to see her roommate partner, Angel Bendy.

The two used to work together with their creators until... Things went hayware.

Then, it was decided that the two would leave their Animation studio behind and move to Paris. Luckily, no one noticed who they were in their human forms.

"How was school?" Bendy asked as Janis slumped onto the kitchen's table.

"School is my living nightmare. Chloé was herself as usual," Janis bitterly announced as Bendy shook his head.

Bendy was two years older than Janis as she was sixteen.

Janis only saw Bendy as an older brother/BAF (Best Animated Friend), while Bendy may or may not have saw Janis as more than a friend.

"Want me to beat her up?"

"Angels don't beat up other people."

"Who said I was a nice one?"

"Good point."

Chuckling, Bendy stood up adjusting his glasses. "Tea?" he gently asked as Janis nodded. "Thanks," Janis softly said as Bendy poured the hot tea into a cup.

"Anytime, Janis. It's what friends are for," Bendy casually said as Janis grinned. "Yup!" Janis happily exclaimed, agreeing with him.

"Careful, the tea is hot," Bendy advised as Janis struck her tongue out. "Relax, I'm a pro," Janis boldly said as Bendy rolled his eyes.

Sure you are.

Taking her first sip, Janis instantly regretted her decision as she placed her cup down and rapidly fanned her tongue.

"It's hot!"

Releasing a loud laughter, Janis glared at Bendy as she crossed her arms. "I'm sorry, but I told you so," Bendy said truthfully as Janis merely ignored him.

"I'm going to let my tea cool down. In the meantime, I'll get started on my Literature essay," Janis casually announced as Bendy chuckled.

"Have fun!"

Entering her room, Janis had a few posters hung. One of them was the one and only Jagged Stone. Pictures of Janis and the gang were scattered across Janis's dressers.

Janis's room was a light blue shade as her window had the view of Paris. Bunny themed stickers were posted throughout her room to remind her of what she was.

At the same time, Janis hung her drawings across the rooms to show Janis what her passion was. Though, it was her passion that caused her to become an ink hybrid...

Anyways, one drawing in particular stood out to her. It was a drawing of her best friend Nathaniël in a fox costume. She had even gone all out and named this hero 'FireFox'.

With a bright red-orange suit, Nathaniël had a fake fox tail attached with matching fox ears. Ironically, he wearn a mask over his face to hide his identity.

However, his red hair grew longer as his blue-bell eyes became more enhanced. Sighing dreamily, she continued to stare at the drawing.

"One day, we'll be together," Janis said to herself before her eyes widened. "Nathaniël's in trouble!" she exclaimed before facepalming herself.

At the same time... Janis had homework. She was assigned to write a page and a half essay about one of the heroes of Paris.

Sighing, she huffed before picking up her phone. Going through her contacts, she found Alex's number and called him.

"This is Alex Barr! Please leave a message after the beep is heard! Beep! Beep! Beep beep beep! This is your cue to leave a message now," Alex's voice said before the offical beep came on.

Shaking her head, Janis assumed that Alex was busy.

"Hey, this is Janis Channing. I'm here reminding you to do Miss Bustier's one and a half-page essay over one of the heroes of Paris," Janis paused and chuckled.

"She'll get onto you like last time. Anyways, don't stay up late and call back when you receive this message. Thanks! Bye now!" Janis finished as she saved the voicemail and ended the call.

When she finished, Bendy arrived with Janis's backpack. "You left your backpack behind," Bendy said before tossing it at Janis.

However, she didn't catch it in time as the bag plopped onto the floor. "Aw, man!" Janis cried as Bendy chuckled.

"You'll catch it next time."

"You said that last time, Bendy!"

"Hehe... I'm out!"

Closing the door behind him, Bendy left Janis's room.

Sighing to herself, Janis moved to her desk before taking out her necessary items. However, all she got on her paper was her name, date, period, class, and her teacher's name.

"Come on, brain think. I need your smart skills," Janis told herself as she rubbed the sides of her forehead.

Realizing that she was fresh out of ideas, she faceplanted onto her desk.

"Why is high school a pain?"

Looking around, she saw a hexagon box that interested her. Standing up, she walked to the box before picking it up.

Observing the box, she noticed how the box was a dark brown shade and engraved with red zodiac signs.

Upon a second glance though, it revealed an image. The image was a triangle with feet, a top hat, arms and strangely enough, a giant eyeball in the center.

Blinking, the image quickly faded as this confused Janis. "Weird," she said before opening the box.

Blinded by a bright light, Janis quickly faced the other direction. When the light dimmed down, she cautiously glanced to see that it was the exact necklace she saw earlier!

"Nope! Nope! Nope!"

Janis quickly retrieved to the top of her bed as she stared at the necklace.

How did it get here?

Slowly ascending down from her twin bed, she picked up the necklace and carefully observed it.

Sighing, she figured no harm could from a simple necklace and placed the necklace on. When the necklace was in place, a bright light formed.

However, when the light faded, a small yellow-like kwami took its place. Opening its eyes, it coughed rather dramatically.

"I'm finally out! Freedom here I come! Alright! Wait..."

"Ahhh!"

Looking up, the kwami saw a fearful girl wearing a matching set of mickey mouse pajamas. Along with that, the girl had a pair of bunny ears attached to her head.

The kwami couldn't help but stare at the girl's chocolate brown eyes before quickly realizing that the girl picked up her Literature textbook.

"H-Hey! I'm friendly!"

Throwing the book, the kwami quickly caught it before looking down. Huffing, the kwami glared at the girl before tumbling downwards.

Luckily, the fall wasn't long as the girl caught the kwami and unfortunately (for the girl) her Literature textbook.

"Thanks," the kwami simply said before punching the girl.

"What was that for?" the girl asked as the kwami rolled her eyes. "You threw a book at me!" the kwami sassed much to the girl's annoyance.

"Fair enough," the girl said, agreeing with the small creature. Placing the book down, the kwami then flew across the room trying to get her mind straight.

"My name is kwami, I'm a Jones--" the kwami cut herself off, realizing how wrong her sentence came out.

"Whoops. My name is Angelina, and I'm your kwami! Before you ask, a kwami is a small creature that grants their wielder unimaginable powers based from their jewelry," Angelina explained, pointing at Janis's necklace.

"The necklace you have has a brief history as previous wielders before you wear it. Luckily for you, I won't bore you with that! So, rather I get to tell you about the slightly more engaging parts as I explain your miraculous," Angelina monotonously stated as she patiently waited.

"A miraculous?"

"A piece of jewelry is considered to be your miraculous."

"Oh."

"Anyways, your necklace is an amulet named Métamorphoser. It's just a long name meaning shapeshift. Ironically, enough you have the abilities to shapeshift into--" Angelina was cut off by the girl.

"Anything?"

"Not exactly. See, your miraculous has its limits..."

"What kind of limits?"

"While the others have five minutes to detransform, you have three and if you abuse your miraculous using it for your wants rather than your needs, then your miraculous will turn into a darker shade until it's offically pure black."

"... What happens then?"

"You become a darker version of yourself. For you, it would be..." Angelina trailed off before quietly whispering the name 'Zelia'.

"Who's Zelia?"

"How did you hear that!"

"My bunny ears. I can hear things from a mile away."

On cue, a loud scream was heard. This alerted the girl and Angelina.

"Curse impeccable timing!" Angelina cried bitterly. "Now, I have to rush through my speech, so you can go out there and save whoever became akumatized!" Angelina said to herself out of anger.

"You don't need to--"

"Don't distract me! I'm on a tight schedule here!"

"... Okay."

Angelina, realizing that her voice came out harsher than intended sighed heavily. She didn't mean to be rude to her new wielder.

"I'm sorry. I'm just stressed," Angelina apologized sincerely as she gently hugged her wielder. "What's your name?" Angelina gently asked, her voice going back to its normal range.

"My name is Janis Channing," Janis said as Angelina grinned. "I love your name! Mind if I call you Jana?" Angelina excitedly asked as Janis chuckled.

"Sure," Janis said as she grinned. Seeing that her wielder was in better spirits, Angelina decided to get back on track.

"Now, Janis your special power is the Shifter Stone. To activate it, you'd touch your the stone on your necklace and said 'Shift Repeal'. By saying that, you'll shift into the animal of your choice. However--"

"There's a catch, isn't there?"

Angelina nodded solemnly, much to Janis's disappointment. "I'm afraid so," Angelina said before continuing once more.

"You can only transform into one and it only lasts for two minutes. After that, your necklace will begin to lose color," Angelina explained gently, as Janis nodded.

"To transform, you would say 'Let's Shift'. Why don't you--"

"Let's shift!"

"Try it out?" Angelina awkwardly finished before getting sucked into Janis's necklace.

Looking in her mirror, Janis saw that her pajamas clothes were replaced by a light yellow suit. Stripes and different imprints of animals were placed on her suit.

Ironically, Janis also had a mask over her face as her black hair formed yellow highlights. However, her chocolate brown eyes were now a bright blue shade.

Her bunny ears were part of her suit as they were engraved with yellow polka dots. Glancing behind her, Janis had her permanent bunny tail as she smiled.

"Now, that you're done admiring yourself, take a look at your waist," Angelina said from Janis's head as Janis obeyed. Looking down, she saw a belt.

That belt contained smoke bombs, a light teal rope and some boomerangs.

"Unlike the other who only have one choice of weapon, you have a few at your disposal," Angelina acknowledged as Janis grinned.

"Sweet!"

"Yup! Now, you're offically ready! Let's go stop that akuma!"

With that being said, Janis left her bedroom window and used her rope to guide herself to where the crime was at.

Ladybug and Chat Noir were on the scene as they watched a helpless Chloé.

"Ahh! There's a giant hairblower attacking me!" Chloé cried as the hairblower continued heading in her direction.

Grinning, Evillustrator amusingly watched this.

"What are you doing! Get Ladybug and Chat Noir's miraculouses!"

Watching his hand twitched once more, Evillustrator gained control as he placed his hand over it.

"Now, let's see how you feel when you're left powerless, heroes," Evillustrator announced as he began to sketch on his drawing pad.

At this exact moment, Ladybug remembered something from her date with Evillustrator.

"Ugh! I can't draw anything in the dark."

"That's it!"

"What is M'lady?"

"Chat, do you think you can--"

Before Ladybug could finish, a puff of smoke flooded the room. Coughing, everyone was distracted by the smoke.

"Oh my god! It worked! Yes!" This was followed by coughing.

When the smoke cleared, another heroine appeared as she awkwardly attempted to create a pose.

"Whoa! Who are you?"

"No time for introductions! Do you think you can knock down that light?"

"Yes ma'am!" Janis exclaimed, resisting the urge to scream in excitement. Taking out her boomerang, she aimed it at the light post.

Heading in that direction, the light was knocked out and returned to Janis. By the time Evillustrator was able to regain focus, he found that it was dark!

"Shift Repeal!"

Turning into a small hummingbird, Janis quickly flew to retrieved the drawing pad.

"Cataclysm!"

Chat Noir moved towards the light as he completed destroyed the lamp for good measures.

With Janis returning the drawing board to Ladybug, her two minutes was up as she transformed back into her hero form.

"Lucky Charm!"

Receiving a bouncy ball, Ladybug saw that there were more lights in the room. Grinning, Ladybug blasted the ball into different directions as Evillustrator attempted to start sketching.

However, his time was up when all of the lights were knocked out. A minute began to beep for both Chat Noir and Janis.

Stepping on the sketchbook/drawing pad, the akuma came out. "No!" Evillustrator cried as Ladybug grinned.

"That's enough evil doing for you little butterfly!"

Catching the butterfly, Ladybug purified the akuma. When she released it, the akuma became a pure butterfly once more.

"Bye, bye little butterfly!"

Lifting up the ball, she threw it into the air before shouting the two magic words.

"Miraculous Ladybug!"

Watching the room repair itself, Janis watched in awe. Bending down, Evillustrator vanished as Nathaniël took back his rightful place.

"What happened?" Nathaniël asked as Janis helped him up. "You just had a rough day," Janis softly said before smiling.

"Who are you?"

Thinking, a mischievous grin formed on Janis's lips. "Call me... Shifter!" Janis proudly announced before performing a heroic pose.

Unfortunately, most of Janis's necklace was losing color as Janis awkwardly coughed.

"Anyways, I have to slither my way out of here! Bye!" Shifter announced and rushed off. However, she didn't know that someone had caught her helping the heroes.

"Where is she!"

"Where's who?"

"The chosen one!"

"Come again?"

Bill sighed as he held up a picture of Janis.

"Oh! I know her! That's Janis!" Alex cried before realizing that this was the man that kidnapped him.

"So, you know her?"

"I know her for a few weeks, but not long enough," Alex confessed. "What do you want with her, anyways?" Alex asked curiously.

"She has something that I want."

"Please don't be one of those depressing villains! I swear I see too many of them. They get on my nerves!" Alex pleaded as Bill blinked.

"Depressing, huh?" Bill asked with a smirk. "What else can you tell about Janis?" Bill asked curiously.

"Well... Her other best friend is Nathaniël Kurtzberg and her roommate is Angel Bendy. Otherwise, that's about it," Alex said before regretting his decision.

"You were loads of help! Now, since I can't have you exposing me, I'm afraid I must... Control you."

"Huh?"

Picking up Alex's mask, Bill placed dark magic over it and smirked. "Have fun!" he announced before placing the mask over him.

"Nooooooo!"

When the mask was on, Alex transformed into his villain counterpart. This one wasn't friendly like Lunar Wolf.

Instead, he was now Zen Aku. Unlike Lunar Wolf, Zen Aku was masochist and enjoyed the sight of blood.

Releasing Zen in Gravity Falls, Zen began to create chaos to his heart's desire.

Watching in the distance, Bill grinned at his creation. Creating a portal, Bill evilly chuckled.

"I believe it's time to visit an old friend of mine," Bill said before slipping into the portal.

Angel Bendy entered Janis's room and saw that Janis was missing. "Jana?" Bendy questioned, unsure if Janis was pranking him.

Before he could investigate else where, a pair of hands covered his mouth.

"Help me get my hands on an amulet named Métamorphoser, and I'll help you in return."

Muffled sounds only came out from Bendy. Sighing, the figure uncovered his mouth.

"W-Who are you?" Bendy asked shyly stuttering in the process. "I'm Bill Cipher, a dream demon," Bill flatly answered.

"Dream demon?"

This should be fun.

Smirking, Bill Cipher found this person amusing. "Why don't I show you?" he asked as his grin grew wider. Before Bendy could answer, Bill Cipher entered his body.

After a few minutes, Bill left his body leaving Bendy dazed. "That was me being nice. I can do a lot more," Bill threatened as Bendy stared at Bill in terror.

"So, get your hands on that necklace, and no harm will come to you. Deal?"

"Deal."

With the two shaking hands, the deal was complete.

"I have some catching up to do with a friend of mine, so bye!"

At this moment, Bill left as Bendy realized what he had to do.

Entering her room, Shifter detransformed into Janis as she was back in her pajamas.

"That was exhausting!" Janis announced as Angelina chuckled. "You did good, kid. I applaud on that," Angelina said softly.

"Janis!"

"Who's that?"

"Oh, that's my friend and roommate, Angel Bendy! I can't wait to tell him about you!"

"I would prefer if you--"

Unfortunately, Janis already left the room as Angelina sighed, watching the door close from behind her.

"You called, Bendy?" asked Janis as Bendy turned around with a concerned glance.

"Hey... Where did you go? I was worried sick about you!" Bendy exclaimed, hugging Janis tightly.

Janis felt awful as she completely forgot to explain to him where she was going.

"I'm so sorry, Angelwings. I promise not to scare you like that again," Janis said sincerely, letting go of the hug.

"Jana, where did you get that necklace?" Bendy curiously asked, observing the necklace. "Oh! I brought it at a jewelry store," Janis quickly stated with a smile.

She had wanted to buy it, but it was 'cursed'. So, technically it counted as a truth since she received it. She just didn't buy it, per say.

"Are you sure?" Bendy asked as Janis nodded. "Yep!" she chirped, though feeling bad about the lie.

"Okay..." Bendy said, though not convinced. "Oh, hey! I have something to show you! However, I need you to keep it a secret, okay?" Janis asked as Bendy nodded.

"Thanks!" Janis cheerfully announced before dragging Bendy to her room. Angelina is going to freak out!

"Didn't," Angelina finished quietly to herself.

"Please don't let Master Fu and Wayzz get upset over one person knowing her secret," Angelina said to herself before scanning Janis's room.

Looking in Janis's mirror, she saw a human demon hovering over her. Panicking, she quickly turned around before seeing no one.

Sighing in relief, she looked again and saw a demon triangle in her presence. Angelina quickly covered her mouth to keep herself from screaming.

"My, my, Snowflake! You went under my rader for so long! I can't believe we finally meet again!" Bill proudly announced as Angelina grumbled.

"Bill, what a surprise," Angelina stated with pure sarcasm. "Aw! I thought you would be ecstatic!" Bill exclaimed, faking a hurt look soon afterwards.

"Look, you aren't getting the necklace if that's what you're after... Like usual."

"This time it's different!"

"Honey, you've attempting to retrieve this necklace for decades! When will you give up?"

"Never! You want to know why? It's because your little wielder is the key!"

Angelina froze before coughing. "You don't know who it is though," Angelina bravely stated as Bill smirked.

"Janis."

"W-What! Who told you!"

"I have my resources."

This is bad! Ugh! I'm in trouble!

"You should be scared, Snowflake," Bill said as Angelina charged at him. However, Bill disappeared and appeared once more.

Placing a rope on her, her skin started to burn. "Let me go," Angelina hissed as Bill chuckled. "I love it when you beg for mercy," Bill said before letting her go.

"Tell you what. Since, I like you so much, I'll make you a deal in case my other dealer decides to bail out. If you can convince Janis to turn into Zelia or give up her miraculous, you'll turn human again."

"You have a catch. Things like this don't come for free."

"You know me so well! Yes! The catch is that you won't remember your life as a kwami nor any of your wielders, including Bunny girl there."

Angelina stared at him and shook her head. "No way am I accepting that! Janis will beat you," Angelina heartfeltly stated as Bill stared at her and laughed.

"You were always stubborn. Well, think about my offer, Snowflake! Till next time! Life is an illusion and buy more gold!" Bill announced before leaving.

Sighing, Angelina watched as Bill's words ran through her head. Hearing the door knob opening, Angelina squeaked and quickly hid.

"So, there's this tiny creature--"

"Kwami, Bendy."

"Right. This kwami named Angelina helps you transform into a hero named Shifter. Right?" Bendy asked as Janis nodded.

Opening the door, Janis walked inside and saw her room perfectly the same. "I don't see her," Bendy stated as Janis rolled her eyes. "Naturally. Just wait," Janis reassured Bendy as she walked closer.

"Angelina! Can you come out?"

No answer.

"Please?"

Still no answer.

"Well, Jana I guess it was a lie. I didn't think you were a liar."

Janis sighed, but when she saw Angelina moving, her interest perked up as she shook Bendy. "She's right there!" Janis cried as Angelina shyly moved to the center.

"Hi..." Angelina shyly said, awkwardly waving in the process. "Ahhh! She's so weird-looking!" Bendy cried in disgust as he hid behind Janis.

Embarrassed and ashamed, Angelina changed her form to look like Bendy. "Aw! She's like the miniature version of you," Janis said in awe as Bendy took a closer peek.

His eyes widened as Janis was right. Angelina was now black and white as she had mini demon ears and an angel halo hovering over her.

Bendy waved back at Angelina and felt terrible about his comment eariler. Angelina placed her hand down as she continued keeping her appearance.

"Ready for the best part?" Janis asked as Bendy nodded.

"Let's Shift!"

Automatically, Angelina went inside Janis's necklace and one transformation sequence later, Shifter stood in her place.

"Pretty cool, huh?"

"That's amazing!"

"Now, watch this," Shifter said before touching her stone. "Shift Repeal!" Shifter proudly announced as she transformed into a swan.

Flying around her room, Bendy tried to keep up with her. "Woah..." Bendy said trailing off. "I know! The only downside is that I have two minutes to stay in my form," Shifter explained as Bendy nodded.

Two minutes later, Shifter returned back to her normal form. Bendy gasped as he found this exciting. Shifter merely chuckled in return.

"I only have three minutes to detransform, though," Janis recalled as her amulet started to lose color.

"Oh," Bendy said as another minute passed. More color began to fade and soon, Shifter turned back into Janis.

"It's all due to my kwami, Angelina though. She's the one who helps me transform," Janis announced as Angelina weakly nodded.

Transformations were always a pain to do, especially if there were more than one.

Glancing at Janis's necklace, she saw that the bright blue shade slowly turn into its darker shade. Blinking, Angelina tried to regain focus.

"Is she alright?"

Janis glanced at Angelina and noticed that she looked pale. "Bendy, can you find some snacks?" Janis asked as Bendy nodded.

Running outside Janis's room, Bendy zoomed through the kitchen and found a carrot. Rushing back, Bendy huffed.

"I'm back," Bendy said before tossing the carrot. This time, Janis caught it with ease as the two teens high fived each other. Then, Janis fed Angelina the carrot.

Munching on the carrot, Angelina gained back her energy much to her luck. Seeing this, Janis and Bendy both sighed in relief.

When Angelina finished eating the carrot, she sheepishly smiled. "Can we keep her?" Bendy asked, hugging onto Angelina. Angelina, on the other hand was surprised and attempted to escape the hug.

"Well... She is mine, so yeah! She'll make a great addition to our small group!" Janis excitedly said, hugging Angelina in the process.

Huffing, Angelina gave up at this point. There was no point in escaping this hug. However, she felt touched that Janis and Bendy considered her as their group.

Maybe, being a kwami isn't so terrible as she thought it was.

The next day, Janis turned in her essay over the newest hero, Shifter. Most of the class wrote over Ladybug as a few wrote about Chat Noir. One person wrote about both heroes.

"Nathaniël, who did you write about?"

"Oh! I wrote about Shifter! I thought she was pretty cool!"

Janis smiled while she resisted the urge to blush. "I wrote about her too! She's awesome!" Janis exclaimed as Nathaniël chuckled.

Smiling, Janis felt her heart beat faster. "I hope I can meet her again. I never got the chance to thank her," Nathaniël said as Janis nodded.

"I'm sure she would be thrilled to meet you."

"Really!"

"Yup."

Glancing at his sketchbook, Nathaniël crossed out Marinette. Now, he was officially over her. Instead, he drew a picture of Shifter and smiled softly.

Je t'aime Shifter.

Later on that day, Shifter made her appearance beside Ladybug and Chat Noir.  Shaking hands with the heroes, it was official.

Shifter was now working with the heroes to defeat Hawkmoth and his akumas.

Today was yet another loss for Hawkmoth and a win for the heroes.
