"all of the while, it was you."

"jungkook-ah, i have to go to the restroom!"

sprinting towards the back door, jung hoseok abandoned his customer (who was currently glaring at him with wide eyes). this had happened for at least eight times ever since he first got employed, considering that the man who was too loud for the world was hopeless at holding his bladder.

"hyung!" jungkook whined at no one in particular, before leaving his unwashed dishes to take the order. hoseok was no doubt a very lovely man, but if only he could hire someone better than that. "i'm so sorry about the inconvenience . . ."

the door's bell chimed once again, hinting that there was an upcoming customer to handle. it also felt somehow familiar when the bright blue sky suddenly darkened, with deafening sounds of thunder following suit, considering that this was only the beginning of summer. it wasn't a coincidence that all these coincidences immediately reminded him of taehyung.

nothing had changed ever since he was gone. jeon's cafe was still famous for its coffee, jungkook was still busy brewing them and well, hoseok was still being hoseok. the only ones that added up to this inner circle was the owner of namjoon's bookstore, security min from namsan tower and nurse kim seokjin from seoul national university hospital that somewhat became his regular customers at the same time.

after jungkook finished taking hoseok's customer's orders, the other customer that just arrived eventually came to view. and, oh my — this man was beautiful. with pastel grey hair being styled into neat quiffs, rolled up white shirt and a name tag hugging his relatively small figure, it was safe to say that he was one hell of an attractive office worker. park jimin, game developer of dalcom soft, it said.

"good afternoon," park jimin greeted, gaze wandering around the menu board behind jungkook until his observation stopped over a certain frame. "oh, isn't that namsan tower?"

shifting his body to take a better look, jungkook smiled at the thought of the man of his dreams before nodding at his customer. "yeah. a special someone drew it, but never got the chance to finish it . . . so, a couple months ago, i did."

"it's very beautiful."

"thank you," jungkook grabbed a ballpoint and a paper cup, ready to take his order. "what do you want do drink today?"

when jimin's eyes finally met jungkook's, he swore there were butterflies swarming inside his tummy, as if everything was falling into place. a sense of deja vu was tingling under the layers of his consciousness, but the barista chose to ignore it.

"one caramel macchiato, please."

jungkook almost dropped the cup he was holding.

and, as if it wasn't coincidental enough, the man before him continued in a heartbeat. "oh, i'm sorry, but can you please spinkle some cinnamon powder on it?"

FIN.
