CHAPTER SEVEN

You closed your eyes, holding back the tears falling from your eyes as your chest rise. Your hand curled up into fist as you waited for everyone to invade your room just like you planned.

Everything was useless—it all became useless, and you became useless.

Your teeth clicked, hands sliding towards you stomach, touching and rubbing it as if someone was growing inside there.

There could have been a little one running around the palace ground if only the incident didn't happened.

Even thinking about it, your heart is already gnawing as tears fell down again—you were too stressed and feels like all the problems are too much for you that you just wanted to end it all. The sudden gush of memory flodded your mind as your eyes became blurry.

FLASHBACK

"I'm pregnant?" Your mouth went agape and your heart rockets out of your chest as soon as you heard the news from the physician.

"Yes, Your Majesty." The physician replied, delightedly. "Do you want me to—"

"No!" You squeaked, a smile forming on your lips as you quickly stood up from your position. "I will be the one to tell Jimin about it. Don't say a word, okay?"

The physician looked at you, flustered, as you grinned at him before he nodded and watched you running farther away making him startled. "Don't—"

But it was too late, you darted out of the room when he was about to say something more important.

You quickly ran your way towards Jimin's chambers in the middle of the night with excitement filling your eyes as the court maids behind you, ran after you. You cannot help but grin ear to ear just hearing the news, and even more euphoric about giving the news to Jimin.

As you ran you way towards his chambers, you were stopped by the Head Eunuch, and halted your steps to look at him in confusion.

"Is His Majesty busy?" You asked, facing the Head Eunuch as he looked surprised by your presence and could see him gulping down.

"Is he with a concubine?" Your voice cracked, but you had no choice but to accept it.

Ever since you came to the palace, Jimin has been with you. It just amazed you that Jimin spent a night with one of his concubines tonight. Before you even married him, he already had 3 concubines but you became the legal one. When you became the Queen, he spends most of the night in your Palace or you to his Palace.

And yes, he does visit the concubine's chambers, but this time, he really did spent the night with in a concubine inside his chambers knowing how the room is already dark.

"He is with someone tonight." The Head Eunuch confirmed, his head hanging low.

"Who? Is it Concubine Kim—"

"It's new." He firmly said, interrupting you making your eyes widened in surprise.

A new one? Jimin never ever slept with his concubines, so how could there be a new one? Does this mean that he will have a new concubine? You can't help but nod anyway. You couldn't have a say in it.

He is a King and you are his Queen. He is your husband and you are his wife.

As a Queen and a wife, you are obliged to accept every decision your partner decides. You sighed, hands on your stomach as you thought, maybe you will just tell Jimin about the pregnancy tomorrow.

And with that, you left the King's Palace.

The next morning came, and you woke up with a-not-so-pleasing news.

Court Lady Kang knelled in front of your door as soon as you opened it, and what came out from her mouth has your world vanished into ashes. You ran as fast as you could, towards the King's Palace, only to meet a devastating sight with Jimin holding hands with his new concubine, and not just any ordinary concubine, but a male concubine that shattered your dignity and respect as a woman—as a Queen.

"That is his new concubine?" Your lips trembled, stepping back as Court Lady Kang catch you from behind.

"Jeon Jungkook?" His name rolled off your tongue as you narrowed your eyes, eyeing the two of them walking around the palace grounds with smiles written on their face. "You mean the kid you brought here, Court Lady Kang?"

You pressed your lips into thin line, gritting your teeth as your entire body shoot up with anger. Your blood arises as you stared at them for too long before falling to unconsciousness. 

And the most distressing news that you received was the words that the physician said that traumatised and shattered your soul into small pieces.

"Should we tell your majesty about—"

"No!" You squeaked, the same way as what you said to the physician yesterday. "Don't tell him please."

The physician looked at you with pity in his eyes that made you hate yourself more. You lose your husband to a male, and now you lose your child as well.

"I was about to tell you something yesterday," The physician gulped, lowering his head. "That your womb cannot handle the baby because of the Jasmine scent in your room, and that's why you needed to be careful and not be stressed out, but—"

Indeed, it was your fault and you blamed yourself for it.

"I'm sorry, Your Majesty." Was all you heard from the physician.

Jimin was expecting a child with you but then all of a sudden, you lose the child because of your carelessness. He wanted his first child to be with you and yet you cannot even give him that. You cannot even do your proper job as his wife.

You could hear Court Lady Kang's cries of pain from behind as she also cried for you and the baby. And that broke your heart as well.

You cried the whole night while Jimin was in the arms of someone- not even knowing that his wife lost their first child, and his wife is mourning alone in the dark room for their unborn child.

END OF FLASHBACK

You didn't blame anyone about you losing your child and your husband, but blamed yourself for allowing Court Lady Kang to let Jungkook enter the palace. Maybe if you hadn't let him come in the first place, things would have been different now, and you would have been still with Jimin.

You were technically the one who brought Jungkook inside the palace. You blamed yourself for not being enough to Jimin.

The words of the physician still lingered in your head as he said those words the next day after losing your child. 'You cannot get pregnant anymore ' 

Even until now, Jimin doesn't know about the incident and you being infertile because of it. Not every single soul knows about what happened that night except you, the physician and Court Lady Kang.
