"Mommy!.." Avni's eyes shot open to the voice of Marshall. He was outside their room, knocking on the door. Avni untangled Neil's arm around her waist and jumped off the bed. She quickly put wore a cardigan above her tank top and pajama pants, before opening the door. "Mommy, tat!.." Marshall said as soon as he saw Avni. "What?.." she didnt catch his words. "Tat! Mommy, come.." Mashall pulled on to her arms, beckoning her to follow him. Avni was walked to his room and Marshall directed her to the window. "Tat! Awee!" Avni looked down the window. There was a tiny baby cat, with white furs on the ground. Its voice was faint, as it seemed really weak. "Oh no.. lets go downstairs!" She quickly picked up Marshall and rushed downstairs.

Shweta, Bebe and Prakash was having tea in the garden. Marshall jumped off Avni's lap, on to the ground. "Avni?! What happened?" Shweta asked. "Bebe.. Th-.." "Mommy, Mommy hurry!" Marshall grabbed her hand, forcing Avni to run after him. He stopped close to the kitten. Avni kneeled down beside it. "Hello there.." she whispered and gently caressed on the kitten. Marshall held on Avni's shoulder and peeked down to the kitten. "Mommy! Awee!" Marshall exclaimed. Avni looked carefully and gasped. There was a little wound right above its head. It winced when Avni touched the area. She quickly took it in her arms and brought inside. The others were not in sight.

"Whats going on?" Neil asked as he entered Marshall's bathroom. Avni was sitting on the floor, her hands inside the bathtub. Marshall stood right next to her. He peeked inside the tub. "What on earth! Where did you find it?" Neil asked. Avni gave him a look and explained him the events. "Dada! Tat! Tat!" Marshall jumped up and down clapping his hands. "Its hurt.." Neil muttered, caressing on its furs as Avni took it out of the water. They dried him with a blow drier and Neil brought milk for him. The kitten was really friendly by now, and Marshall was the happiest. "What are we naming him? Marshi, whats the cat's name?" Neil asked. "Neeeilll" Marshall replied with a big smile. Avni bursted into fits of laugh, while Neil was in a shock! "Neil is my name! Thats Daddy's name!" He tried saying, but Marshall just laughed it off. Neil glared at Avni, telling her he wasn't fascinated at all. "Okay fine. Marshall, we'll have to keep another name. Neil is daddy's name.." she brought Marshall close and explained. "Huh?.." was his response. "Lets give another name.. to the kitty." She said again. "Fire!" He jumped and replied. Both Avni and Neil laughed at the remarks.

Avni gave a shower and got ready herself before going down for breakfast. She was planning to take Marshall out to play school today. Marshall climbed down the stairs while holding to Neil's hand, who held the kitten on his other. Avni followed them. Marshall took the kitten from Neil and hugged it carefully, then headed to the dining table. Shweta's eyes widened as she saw the kitten. She shouted hysterically and jumped on to the chair! "W..whats that Marshi! Take it away!" Marshall's steps froze at that instant, so did Avni's. Neil clasped a hand to his forehead. "How did I forget about this.." he mumbled. "Forget what?" Avni asked, still confused. "Mom is scared of cats.." he replied. "Uh-oh." Avni knew this would be war. "Marshi, come here, baby." She gestured him to come. "What is this Shweta? Its just a little kitten!" Bebe tried to say. "No! I hate cats, I'm scared of them." Shweta rebutted. Neil slowly took the cat from Marshall. Avni's eyes widened. She didnt expect Neil to do that. She thought he would also try to convince Shweta, as Marshall so wanted to keep the kitten. "Dada, Noo!" Marshall tried to stop Neil. Avni was still in shock. "Mommy..?" Marshall's voice broke Avni's heart. "Neil.. We can-.." Neil didnt listen to her, and headed outside with the cat. "Avni, you could have at least asked the others. Especially when you made the decision to keep such a thing inside!" Shweta's voice was loud, Avni knew she was really mad. "Mom, Marshall wanted to-.." "Thats exactly your problem! You'd do anything he wants and spoil him.." Shweta interrupted Avni. Neil came in just then, Avni was sure he heard what Shweta said, and still he didnt defend her. "No more cats in the house." Neil declared. Marshall's pout turned into a loud cry. "Mommy..!" His voice broke Avni's heart into pieces. She was really upset with Neil's decision. "Shh.. lets go." Avni didnt bother to look at or reply to anyone. She just went upstairs with Marshall, whose cries were heart breaking!
