Finally the Dhoni sibling duo is back to working together

What do you think is next for Siya?

~~~~~~~
Siya worked extremely hard and completed her graduation with honours, well before time so that she could concentrate more on her cricket career.
A few months after her final exams were completed, the college had organised a proper convocation ceremony after a very long time for all of their students, where Siya was awarded her degree.
Mahi was cheering the loudest when his little sister's name was called, while Sakshi was recording the moment.
Shubman had also flown in to attend the event and he was busy explaining to little Ziva what exactly was going on.
Siya got many pictures clicked with her entire family, which included her best friend.
Shubman even got a call from his parents who had called to wish their second daughter, a title Siya had earned after meeting them a few times in the past.
Mahi felt like a proud parent when he saw his little sister standing in front of him with her degree, something she had worked extremely hard for.
People in India do believe that an older brother is like a second father, but in Siya's case her older brother was the first father figure in her life.
Ziva was the happiest because she would get to spend the entire day with her most favourite people, after her parents of course.
The little girl loved her Buddy because he always got her some nice toys or dresses, unlike her stupid Chachus who always got her chocolates, which were usually taken away by her mother.
After coming back home, Siya and Shubman forced Mahi and Sakshi to go out and spend some quality time together, without worrying about their kids.
When Mahi tried to protest, Siya shut him up by saying that parents should take some time to relax after their child graduates from college because they also work hard to help their kid get his/her degree.
Mahi was touched to hear that Siya thought of both him and Sakshi as parental figures and eventually he agreed to go, but not before giving strict instructions to call them if they need anything.
Sakshi rolled her eyes at her husband's over protective behaviour, before thanking Siya for organising the plan because she wanted Mahi to relax for some time, without any kind of stress.
Siya agrees with her and tells her Bhabhi that she had planned this for months after seeing how much her brother stressed about her exams because Mahi could only remain calm and composed in matters related to cricket.
The 2022 Women's World Cup was due to start in the month of March, after being postponed for more than a year.
India was completing in the tournament again after finishing as runners up in the last edition of the World Cup back in 2017.
This tournament was also the last one for two of India's cricket legends, Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami.
India fought back in the tournament after a few losses but failed to qualify for the knockouts after losing to South Africa in their last group stage match.
Siya felt down due to a series of poor performances, but she remembered her brother's words and tried her best to help her team cope with the loss.
Jhulan and Mithali appreciated their youngest players efforts because they couldn't bring themselves to console the team when they were feeling down themselves.
Harman and Smriti were quite surprised with the way Siya was helping others, after seeing how broken she was the last time their team had lost an important match in an ICC event.
They soon came back and took some time off to relax, before their next series against Sri Lanka in a few months.
~~~~~~~

Siya spent her time off by supporting her brother in the IPL and she also trained with him whenever possible.

This time all the group stage matches were held in four different grounds in Mumbai and Pune.

Jaddu was named as the captain of CSK, but the season started off as another horrible nightmare for the team and their fans alike.

The pressure of captaincy seemed to be affecting Jaddu's performance, so he was removed as captain mid-season and Mahi was named captain once again.

CSK lose their last hope of making it to the playoffs, despite the horrific start, when they lose to arch rivals MI in their second encounter.

For the second time in IPL history, CSK doesn't make it to the playoffs and they finish their season with a loss against RR.

After CSK's matches were over, Siya left to support her best friend who was playing for the newly formed GT (Gujrat Titans).

The Qualifier 1 held at Eden Gardens is a high scoring game against RR, but GT chase down the target with three balls to spare.

RR comes back to face GT in the finals at the Narendra Modi Stadium, which also happened to be the home ground for their opponents.

This time RR is unable to post a big total on the board and GT chase it down comfortably, with Shubman finishing things off with a six in the second last over.

Siya jumps around in the VIP area as GT win the IPL in their very first season.

The celebrations go on all night, while Shubman spends most of his time with his best friend because she was supposed to join her team in a few days to prepare for her upcoming series.

They both had a rather hectic schedule for the next few months and this was the only time they had to enjoy and have fun together as best friends.

~~~~~~~
Siya travels to Sri Lanka with the team where they play a three match T20I and ODI series, that they win 2-1 and 3-0 respectively.
The Indian Team then travels to England to participate in the Commonwealth Games, where they perform pretty well before going down to Australia in the finals.
Harman played a valiant knock before getting caught behind and in walks Siya, who looked determined to see India through.
Siya tries to keep the innings together at the end, but with the wickets falling at regular intervals on the other side, her efforts aren't very fruitful.
India win the silver medal at the Commonwealth Games, before gearing up for the three matchT20I and ODI series against England.
India lose the T20I series 2-1, but they win the ODI series 3-0 to give Jhulan Goswami the perfect farewell.
There is a controversy because of Deepti's last ball run out, but the team stands by her side stating that her actions were within the rules of the game.
From here the Indian team travelled to Bangladesh for the Women's Asia Cup.
India finished on top of the points table, with only one loss to arch rivals Pakistan.
In the semi-finals, India beat Thailand to make it to yet another Asia Cup final.
Sri Lanka beat Pakistan to face India in yet another Asia Cup final.
India dominates throughout the match and restrict Sri Lanka to 65 in their twenty overs and the batters easily chase it down within ten overs to win India's seventh Asia Cup title.
The senior team comes home to prepare for the five match T20I home series against Australia.
India loses the first match of the series but fight back to win the second match in the super over.
Australia then dominates in the next three matches and eventually beat India 4-1.
During the Under-19 World Cup matches, the senior players play a tri-series with West Indies and South Africa, with the later playing host.
India wins their initial matches against both the teams, but they eventually go down to South Africa in the finals.
~~~~~~~

Meanwhile, Shubman had been performing well in the Indian team, whenever he got an opportunity.

In a few months, he had managed to get his maiden ODI century (130) against Zimbabwe, after missing out in a match against West Indies due to rain.

Shubman even gets picked by a team called 'Glamorgan' to play County Cricket and he smashes his maiden hundred against Sussex in their County Championship.

He is said to be in excellent form as he had been pretty consistent in scoring runs for his team in the past few months.

Towards the end of the year during a series against Bangladesh, Shubman scored his first Test century, before being dismissed for 110 runs.

After a pretty good end to the year, Shubman was looking forward to the new year with two home series, the first one against Sri Lanka and the second against New Zealand.

Shubman could possibly make his T20I debut in one of the two series, so he was looking forward to that as well.

The first edition of the Women's Premier League, or WPL, was finally starting a few days after the conclusion of the T20 World Cup.

The Indian players were watching the auction live on their off day because they were really excited about the event.

The format included five teams in total: Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.

Siya was the second one to be auctioned after Smriti and she turned out to be the most expensive player of the auction.

Some of the girls tease her about going to the same team as her brother and also her most favourite team.

Chennai bought Siya for a whooping 3.6 crore, while Smriti is sold to Bangalore and Harman to Mumbai.

Richa joins Siya in Chennai, while Jemi and Shafali are bought by Delhi.

The girls all enjoy watching the auction and teasing each other about the team they joined because some were picked by teams that they weren't fans of in the IPL.

Some of the girls are asked by the team management to shoot a video to announce the team they will be joining, just for some promotion.

The next day a new round of teasing starts for Siya after some of the girls find a post online mentioning that both the Dhoni siblings had turned out to be the most expensive players of the first edition of the IPL and the WPL.

Many online posts even talked about the coincidence that the Dhoni siblings had the same debut date and were now going to play for the same franchise.

The girls all enjoy their down time before getting back to training hard for their upcoming matches.

The T20 World Cup start a few days after the conclusion of the Under-19 World Cup.

India performs fairly well at the start of the T20I World Cup, as they only lose one match to England in the group stage.

Their first match was against arch rivals Pakistan, where they successfully chase down a decent score to win their first points in the tournament.

The next match was against West Indies, where Richa and Siya shine during the chase as India win their second game in a row.

England beat India in their next game, despite the fight put up by the Women in Blue.

India face Ireland in their last group stage game where they post a fairly decent total, but rain stops play after a few overs of Ireland's innings.

Since no further play was possible, India wins the match by using the DLS (Duckworth-Lewis-Stern) method and qualify for the semi-finals, where they were to face Australia.

~~~~~~~
Just before the semi-final match, the Indian camp gets a scare when they learn that there was a chance that they would lose two of their main players.
Pooja Vastrakar is eventually ruled out of the World Cup due to an upper respiratory tract infection, but Harman chooses to play despite being sick.
Australia set a big target for the Indians to chase and in response India end up losing a few early wickets but then Harman and Jemi stabilise the innings to give India a fighting chance.
Unfortunately both of them lose their wicket in bizarre ways and then the lower order is unable to chase down the target in the end.
Siya tries to reduce the gap between the runs required and balls remaining but fails to take her team over the line as India fall short by just six runs.
The semi-final ends with another heart breaking loss for India, as Australia beat them in yet another knockout match.
Harman is also in tears at the end and goes for the post-match presentation wearing a pair of sunglasses.
She promises the fans that the team will work harder and come back stronger in the next tournament.
~~~~~~~

Now I know that I have skipped the Inaugural Under-19 World Cup, but I really wanted to keep that in a separate chapter so the next chapter will be about that entire tournament.

Anyways what do you guys think about the Chennai team being included in this fictional version of the WPL?

According to you, what can be the possible name of this Chennai franchise? Also, who should be leading this yellow team?

Let me know what you guys think ✍🏻
