Hello there friendos. Why am I updating so much? Because I have year 11 coming up and I can feel my self worth going down. Srsly tho the fact there is over 3k reads on this make me feel really happy so thank you so much!! I'm feeling angsty so let's have feels happen.

Dick/Robin had no idea what came over him that day. He was just compelled to stop being Robin for at least one afternoon and be Dick. So he walked into the main room where everyone was sitting with an idea. "Hey guys, you busy?" he asked. The team were clearly bored so they shook their heads. "I'm thinking of going out today but as my secret ID, you wanna join?" Their heads snapped around and their jaws dropped. "You mean we get to see who you really are? Does that mean we'll know who Batman is?" Beast Boy asked with excitement. Robin couldn't help but smirk at him. "Depends if you know who I am," he replied. "Your rings are in the display case, I'm just gonna get changed." 

(The rings are the ones Cy used in the show to look normal)

Robin walked back in and they hardly recognized him. He wore a long hoodie, the sleeves being way too long, and black jeans with black trainers. His hair wasn't spiked and his fringe covering a part of his left eye. Then his eyes. Those eyes were something. They were a vibrant blue that contrasted greatly from his raven hair. "Wow Robin! You look so different," Starfire exclaimed. She was wearing a pink crop top and a short skirt with pastel shoes. Raven wore a knee length black dress with chain boots. Beast boy wore a blue hole riddled shirt and jeans as did Cyborg only his was green. "I better introduce myself then," he replied. "Real name is Richard Grayson. Dick to my friends and Dickie to family," he said with a small laugh. The team were shocked, he acted so different. "Dude, are you sure you're Robin?" Beast Boy asked. Dick smiled. 

"Dick is different to Robin, so enjoy him while he lasts," he answered with a small laugh. 

"This is so weird," Cyborg commented.       

"You ready to go?" Dick asked. They nodded and they drove into town.

As they walked down a quiet high street, they heard a gruff voice yell Dick's name. Dick froze, his eyes wide when he turned to see who it was. "Ben." he whispered as the red head walked up to him with a group of five guys. "What are you doing out of Gotham?" Dick asked. His demeanor changed completely. He was rubbing his left arm nervously and avoided eye contact with the boy a little older than him. The team raised a collective eyebrow at this. "Crashing at my dad's for a bit, now should I pick up where we left off in Gotham?" Ben asked with an evil grin, his gang chuckling darkly. "Not in front of my friends Ben," Dick told him. Ben frowned and grabbed Dick's collar. "When did you start giving orders? If anything you should be respecting me, since Daddy Bruce ain't here to help you," Ben taunted. 

"Get off of me!" Dick demanded.

His team were about to do something when his leader was suddenly thrown into a wall. "Don't talk to me like that," Ben warned, glaring at Dick. His team walked forward. 

"Don't get involved," Dick told them. Well there's one similarity between Dick and Robin, the whole 'don't help me until I'm at death's door' thing. Ben grinned and raised a fist. "I'll enjoy this," he muttered. He began to punch Dick in the face then threw him to the floor. Dick tried to get up but Ben but a foot on his back, gradually adding more pressure. The team knew that Dick could stop them at any moment so why didn't he? "Get off of me," he squeaked. That earned a kick in the side. Again, he had to tell the team to stay away. "You know I thought you running to Jump City was a cover up. I thought you finally manned up and jumped off a bridge or something. But here you are, pathetic as ever. Just an orphan, worthless piece of shit!" He hit Dick harder in the stomach, making Dick emit a pain filled groan. "That's it! Get away from him now!" Cyborg ordered. Ben turned and grinned, then kicked Dick even harder in the face. "Make me," he taunted. Cyborg swiftly picked him up and threw him against the wall. The gang didn't like this and it turned into a big fight.

Dick just dragged himself up to a wall and tried to calm himself down. He could sense a panic attack was coming on and he was pretty sure the team didn't know how to deal with that. The team managed to scare the bullies off pretty quickly which meant they could just get in the car and go home. "Friend Dick?" Starfire asked, looking for him. She found him with his knees close to his chest, his eyes wide and tears trailing down his face. His breathing was irregular as well. "He's having a panic attack," Raven stated, kneeling in front of him. 

"Jesus, we can't just have a nice time?" Cyborg muttered. "I'm going to get the car," he added before running off. "I'll go with him," Beast Boy said running after him. Starfire stayed with their leader and kneeled beside him. "Richard, they're gone now, no one got hurt. You need to breathe properly," Raven told him. 

"Friend Dick, you are alright. You should not listen to such people as this Ben," Starfire added. Dick looked up at them and managed a small smile. "Thanks," he croaked. "I forgot I had panic attacks, it's been a while," he said with a small laugh. Raven and Starfire gave him a smile whilst helping him up. "You know what, I probably picked the worst day to be Dick," he joked. Starfire giggled a little. "Perhaps, but I would like to know Dick more," Starfire replied. 

"Me too," Raven added.

The car pulled up and Dick waved to them, blushing a little from embarrassment. "Sorry you guys," he apologized once they were driving. "Don't be. I have one question though," Beast Boy said. Dick nodded for him to continue. "How come you didn't fight back?"                           

"Habit really. In Gotham I couldn't fight back in case people started to connect the dots. Doesn't help that I'm a favourite for bullies," he answered. 

"That's horrible," Starfire muttered. 

"It's human nature Star. My parents are dead, there's one reason, I got adopted by Bruce Wayne, another, I'm a nerd, yet another, I'm short for my age, surprise another, and I never fight back, another," he listed. "I have more," he added with a smile. They stared at him. 

"How in the world do you smile?" Cyborg asked.

"I remember that even though I've been through a whole load of bad things, there are people who want me around," he answered. They all smiled goofily. "I swear to God if you even think to bring this up to Teen Titans East I'll hurt you."
