Hecky doodle I'm writing stuff today. Anyways i was thinking to myself wait wait wait, no Robin having to show off to prove himself? Hence the creation of this story.

The team, excluding Robin, were sitting in the cave waiting for something to happen. "This place is so boring!" Wally yelled. "I'll be in Arkham if nothing happens," he added. 

"We get it, you're bored," Artemis said. 

"Team, turn the TV on." A voice ordered. Their heads whipped around to see who ordered them.

In the doorway was Wonder Woman, Flash and Black Canary. They wore a smile and were very perky. "What why?" Wally asked.

"Because you're going to see what Batman and Robin deal with nearly every night," Flash answered. This confused yet excited the team. Batman never let them see what he was up to, let alone Robin. "Again why?" Kaldur asked as he turned on the TV. 

"Because then you'll understand how much Robin does. We heard your talk before about letting him go so we thought we'd show you how resilient he is," Wonder Woman answered. The team went dead silent. "They wanted to kick me off the team?" Robin asked.

 Their heads snapped towards the TV and saw Robin looking shocked and Batman a little sad for him. "Rob, it's not like we don't like you or anything, it's just-" 

"What? It's just I'm too young? It's just I'm not good enough for the team I helped create? Ok fine," Robin interrupted. "I thought you were my friends," he muttered but the sound still picked it up. "Robin it was just a thought. We've seen you get hurt before and-" Kaldur started before being cut off by Robin's Bat-glare. "Oh sorry I get hurt like you guys, you know I've been doing this much longer than all of you. Just because I'm younger doesn't mean you should underestimate me. Fuc-Screw you guys," he said.

"Language," Batman commented. "We're coming up to the bomb now. Robin disarm whilst I cover, got it?" Robin nodded and the view changed to a street camera with sound.

They saw Robin jump out the Batmobile and kick someone in the face, knocking them to the ground instantly. "We screwed up royally," Wally muttered. 

"This team means a lot to Robin. He was the first protégé so we had to look after him, you guys are family to him. You threw that away because you thought of yourselves before him," Black Canary explained in a disappointed tone. "We'll work on re-connecting the team but for now, watch." So they did. Robin jumped from thug to thug, knocking each to the ground. "I'm going for the bomb, cover my right," he told Batman. He nodded as Robin scaled the tower. The bomb sat nicely on the framework, counting down. 5 minutes, "I can work with that." he muttered. He opened up the face of the bomb and scanned the insides. Three wires? Too easy. "Batman this looks too easy, I'm going to disarm the bomb but be ready for anything," he informed. Batman grunted in response and Robin set to work. It only took a minute for Robin to dicipher the bomb and cross the correct wires.

"Robin, after this can we talk?" M'gann asked. He grimaced and jumped down, landing on two thugs. "Don't take this the wrong way but if you don't want me then I'm not going over there," he answered, throwing and dodging punches. "Please, just come over." He groaned and was about to answer before he noticed a vine slithering towards him. "Batman, Ivy's here," he announced. "Hello Birdie, nice to see you again," Poison Ivy greeted, walking towards them. "Let's get this over with Ivy, I'm not in the mood for a lecture about plants," he replied, cracking his knuckles. "I wouldn't need to lecture if you humans actually looked after this world!" she shouted sending a flurry of vines towards him. He dodged each one and joined Batman. "Move six c?" he asked. Batman nodded making Robin smirk. Batman threw down a smoke bomb, masking the two vigilantes. "For God's sake, you can never make this easy can you?" she asked angrily. The team watched intently at the smoke, waiting. Then there was Robin's signature laugh. The smoke cleared and surrounding Ivy were dozens of plant killer bombs. "Don't you dare!" she shrieked. Robin looked at Batman with a smirk. 

"Do it," Batman said. His tone was light and kind, unusual for a gruff man like him. Robin laughed then hit the trigger. The plants were killed and Ivy was knocked out.

"We should get you to your team," Batman suggested putting cuffs on Poison Ivy. Police were on their way to pick her up. He sighed and shrugged. "Guess so," he replied.

"Don't worry about it, the Justice League kicked me out when they found out about the plan B's I made for them," Batman assured him.

"But they still thought you were a good hero, they brought you back after all. Mine think I'm weak." 

"We don't think you're weak, we were just worried," M'gann insisted. Robin blushed from embarrassment, "Rahat, I forgot you were there," he said. 

"Saying crap in Romanian is still saying a bad word Robin," Batman scolded. Robin rolled his eyes and got in the car. Now to do the hardest thing, forgive the team....
